  3. We are going in September, thank you for the review! If you have any more pictures, I would love to see them. As far as alcohol in the water park area, were the prices really high and do you remember what selection you had to choose from? The menu looked like the same snack bar items just from several different places...hamburger, hot dog or chicken sandwich? Was the food good?

  4. I would go with Deck 11. On the Breeze, there is a Lanai (sp?) that goes all the way around deck 5 that I think would put the hot tubs right below your balcony. We were on Deck 7 last summer and I was not a fan of the view most days of people in and out of the hot tubs. I think the higher up you are on this ship, the least distracting the hot tubs and people walking on deck 5 would be. Just my opinion....

  5. This is one of our favorite itineraries! In Jamaica and Cozumel we take a taxi to a local beach (Doctors Cave in Jamaica and Mr. Sanchos All-Inclusive in Cozumel). The Blue Hole in Jamaica and the Dunns River Falls with Bob Sled is also a lot of fun! In Grand Cayman, it is a lot of fun to plan something. We start with Trip Advisor on Things to do and look at the ratings and go from there.

  6. I use the hotel card you use to unlock your hotel room door with. I carry a few with me and use one for the safe and one to keep the lights on instead of a sign and sail card. I leave it in the vanity drawer and no one ever bothers it. It is the biggest pain to be getting ready and the one who leaves first cuts the lights off with them when they leave with their sign and sail card. Just remember to put it away when you leave your room, I had one confiscated once by the room steward for leaving the lights on when no one is there so that's why I carry a few extra!

  7. We have been on both and the chichen itza was more interesting from our experience. It was a long bus ride so definitely take the Carnival excursion in case anything happens with the bus and you can better enjoy your experience and not constantly checking your watch to see if you'll make it back in time.

  8. We have been to Sanchos 3 times so far. The first two were great on the all inclusive side, the last time it was sold out but we had the passes we bought before hand so we were able to get in. It was a mess, we had to flag down a passing waiter to see about getting a table and chairs, we never were able to get lounge chairs on the beach and the service was terrible. It took over an hour to get food and then the waiter would bring half the order out and then 30 mins to wait on the rest. I would definitely want to try the Nachi Cocum next time as other people on our cruise that went there had a totally different experience. The food was not as good as the previous times either, maybe because they were overwhelmed with the number of people there that day. If you do book ahead, we have used the Shore Excursioneer and everything went fine, our names were on the list at the front and we just paid the balance owed (we had put $5 pp down to hold our reservation thru the Shore Excursioneer website).

  9. We try to stay on a deck close to the Lido because that is where we are most of the cruise. One flight of stairs is not a bad deal going back and forth to the cabin throughout the day but when we stayed on deck 2, it was a lot of stairs to climb back and forth and there was always a long wait for an elevator. We have stayed on upper decks ever since and loved it!

  10. We were just there last week. We had purchased tickets online through shore excursion and spent $49. There was another couple that was in front of us and bought tickets for the day pass for $40 at the gate with no problems. We took a shuttle for $10 round trip per person from the port. Very beautiful resort! Would go back in a heartbeat, no complaints what's so ever! However, the driver will try to persuade you to go to Junkanoo beach and tell you that the Grand Lucayan was destroyed by the hurricane!! Don't listen to the driver and insist on going to resort.

How was the food and drinks? Do you have a waiter that comes and takes your order or do you stand in a long line? We are thinking about booking this day pass ahead of time for our cruise in September.
