Just wanted to tell you guys boarding Sun. I just watched the news and it said overnight fog Sat. Its supposed to be a pretty day Sun so I don't think it will be as bad as last Sun. Wanted to give a heads up.

We will also be on a cruise this Christmas and have 2 kids age 7 and 11. I have planned to do gift cards since me kids really love to shop. I am going to bring stockings and small gifts too. My plan is to do a letter from Santa explaining how he didn't want to bring all the gift on the ship for Mom and Dad to have to carry home. Add some cute stuff about the Rudolph eating ice cream on Lido so he had to hurry off. LOL I plan to also get them a gift or so on the ship.

They will not miss the whole opening presents thing as they will see family before we leave and do the present thing. Also my kids are not finding out about the cruise till 4 days before we leave. So that is their big gift anyway. They will be pretty excited about it.

I don't think Royals prices are any better. My MIL is on Navigator right now and when we priced it compared to the Magic it cost a little more.

I agree they need to be lowered but people pay it so why lower it?

I will be on a Carnival ship. Guess I will figure out what other ships will be i with us that day and happen to be on that one.

Check out Koa Koa its a choc factory. My kids really enjoyed it. You can google them.

If they end up going you late seating when you board go straight to the dining room. Talk to them and you can possibly get it changed.

Steward room and they are super noisy starting about 5am. Never again will I get a room across.

Has anybody reciently done the dolphin swim at Chankanaab not thru the ship? I did in 2010 but then heard they were making you go thru the ship. I would rather thru DD because its way cheaper.

We got to use priority disembark in Cozumel. We showed the guy our cards and he sent us thru a different quicker line. I think because it was new non of us knew if it was right or not. this was the end of last March.

I don't thing Carnival cares to much what Royal dos in Galveston. They sail full thats all they care about.

They can add it if they want but please don't take away Magic! Also there is no way they would bring a smaller ship and take away a big one. To many people cruise out of Galveston.

Yes I too have heard they plan to build a third terminal.

Well since they identified themselves as Texans, ie, "this elevator is for texans only" and shouting out " this is Texas's cruise if you aren't from Texas then get off" Just a couple of examples. There were some that were way worse. Also, as I said we have met many wonderful people from Texas and were cruising with family from there. I am sure there also many rude Californians too and I wouldn't want to cruise with them either. This was just so over the top awful in so many ways.

Oh well thats terrible and gives us good Texans a bad name. I hope you give us another chance because I think we have some of the nicest people.

Then you have the idiots that you mentioned. I call them the people of Walmart that got out! LOL

I sail Dec 2014 and bought it Oct 2014

I sailed on the Magic in January and honestly I will not sail out of Texas again if I can help it. While I met some nice people it was by far the most rude and obnoxious bunch I have ever cruised with. I cruised with family from Texas and even they kept apologizing saying "not all Texans are like these people." The ship itself is great and I have sailed on her twice now but I will avoid sailing out of Texas again, that is if I can even talk my husband into cruising again. I am sure I will take a lot of crap for this but it is how I feel.

How do you know it was "Texans" that were the rude ones? People come from all over to cruise. They could have been from anywhere.

I would wait and do it another night. My 6 yr old is behaved too but its such a nice no kid meal to have. Just my opinion.

I received the email this morning. My Magic Christmas cruise the hrs changed for Cozumel and Belize. It was already in reverse order as they had a few cruises listed in that order. I bet they are trying to help control how many ships are in Cozumel on a Fri. I wanna say its like 7!

I am local and have done both the Magic and a Royal ship out of Galveston. We were kinda bored on the Royal ship and had a blast on the Magic. I say for someone in mid twenties go for Magic!

This is coming rom a family that used to love cruising Royal too.

I know they have a few cruises that the Roatan itinerary are reversed. It is on our Magic Christmas cruise.

Heaven forbid someone wanna do something nice. I think its a nice gesture and who cares if they like the candy or not. They have $ and can give the candy or toss it.

My MIL is just now getting thru security to board.
