Aww glad to hear that it's better today, I've booked Grandiosa out of Southampton next August!
Hope you are aware the Grandiose is no longer sailing from Southampton next year UK and Ireland M managing Director announced a few days ago that Virtuosa will be staying in UK instead

Used Chequp registered on there website paid £7.50 for each test.
Did the test using my own LFT test then took photo of test result and passport submitted results and 20 minutes later had the certificate back. Government authorized.

My status match has expired because I haven't sailed with MSC since March 2018. I had a March 2020 cruise canceled at last minute (first cancellation due to Covid). It is sort of not my fault.
Can I get my status restored or can I reapply for a status match. Will MSC do that a second time or are you one and done?
I would check with MSC as status was extended due to Covid, and they cancelled your cruise. My status should have expired April this year but was extended until 2023.

Sat at Diamond Head hotel awaiting to join ROS. Being ex Forces visited Pearl Harbour yesterday, visited war graves in Falkland Island years ago while serving. A sombre feeling same as yesterday. Looking forwards to cruise.

It appears to be same ships same itineraries looking at what has been released so far.
Living in hope that Royal may have found somewhere new or even re-introduce the Panama canal as a option.
-
You can repeat restaurants as much as you like, you don't have to go to Izumi.
Thanks Bob

In fact when he signed of in Jan he stated he would be back on Radiance on 28th March
-
Steve Davis posted on FB that he returns to Aussie 25th March so should be back on Radiance in May.
-
Couple quick questions from you that know about SR, if I booked a 3,4 or 5 day package would I have to include Izumi;s as one of the nights? and has anyone booked the First night done right package that is being offered?

Do Royal charge a different price according to each ship we have a cruise booked and the price for Chops is £28.70 which when converted at the rate offered by Royal for adding a OBC the rate is $1.25 to £1 works out at $35.87. The exchange rate is what Royal was offering last week to UK guest wishing to add a OBC to any cruise currently booked.
-
If you brought £200 at $1.40 to the pound that equals $280 that is what will be credited to your OBC when you board. August last year we added $500 to our OBC and that cost £350 shortly after the pound dropped when we board it was still the $500 that we expected.

Thanks for posting. We board Saturday, our first cruise as Diamond Plus.
You can use the CL as well

Matt, have they relocated the Diamond Lounge from the right side of the Viking Crown to the Left? It looks different...
Yes the DL is on the right hand side as you come out the lifts and it's doubled in size, outside area on that side was not open during TA. Having said that the old DL was still open as well.
-
Extended Next Cruise by cutting the Cafe Promenade in half.
-
We have just done the TA on Indy and went to the first show at 6.00 when we arrived at the theatre at 5.30 it was starting to fill up then and by 5.45 it was nearly full with only the odd seats in the centre of the rows by 5.50 it was full with people standing at the back of the theatre.
Have to say part from the Ice shows its the only show worth seeing the main theatre shows need to be changed or revamped.

The AM on Inde is not Katie Turner, the AM is Katy not sure of her surname it's Mc something.
-
Current rate is $100 for £80 which equals $1.25 to the £1 that was yesterday believe the pound has dropped again today.

Well that was weird.
When I look at my cruise planner calendar it only shows our Coastal Kitchen reservations, which I made for every other day, beginning on day 1.
None of my MTD are showing up on the calendar, BUT on the "Booking Dashboard" under "Vacation Summary" it was showing 26 dining reservations! Very strange, considering I only booked either CK or MTD for our 13 night cruise. We have no specialty restaurants booked; we plan on winging it once on board. I tried making a MTD reservation, and it's saying MTD is no longer available for any of the days.
I called RC, and she was only seeing our CK reservations. I told her about the 26 dining reservations in the vacation summary, and she said that was impossible. She was able to make MTD reservations for us, except for the evenings we have a shows booked. She said with MTD you can just show up whenever, that's the beauty of it.
The MTD reservations she made are now showing up on our Cruise Planner calendar, but on the Booking Dashboard it now says we have 35 reservations for dining.
I give up.
Royal dining reservations are strange if you have booked for 2 people on the 13 night cruise it will show as 26 one for each person.

We normally cruise during Nov and have found most will hold a service of remembrance on 11/11 which is normally hosted by the CD.
When we cruised on EOS in Nov 2012 one of the offices who was ex USN arranged a get together on the evening on 11/11 in the VCL which was very well attended by former and serving military personal from around the world and drinks where served free of charge, this was a members so not sure if that made a difference, we were doing B2B and on the next cruise he held a more informal get together in the schooner bar drinks where also served and this was attend by about a dozen or so former and serving servicemen and their wife’s and partners. So I guess it depends on whether one of the officers on board is prepared to take the time and effect to arrange something.

I got the same contradictory replies from Jacqueline and Nelson. But then Nelson Frau actually rang me from Miami today that all executives and ships now know that anyone with the Select package - whether they bought it or were given it free as a promotion - will need to pay only $10 plus 18% grats. He said there won't be any problems on boarding and asking for the upgrade (we'll wait and see on that). Like others though, I'll be taking my email with me.
Good job we all also emailed Mike Bayley instead of just relying on answers from RCI's Customer Services or Crown & Anchor.
I'm wondering if Royal will put a end date on this, we have cruise booked for Nov 2017 which have free select packages guess I will have to call to check it out. Upgrading at $11.80 a day is a OK don't think I would at $30+18%.

Is it not more likely the Western itinerary would be Mexico, Grand Cayman and Jamaica depended on the cruise length.

Hi,
Wife and I have sailed with Celebrity a few times from Southampton - really enjoyed our cruises but this year wanting to go to the Canaries we've found the itineraries with Celebrity a bit duff. RC seem to offer a much better itinerary on Navigator of the Seas. We have a few questions about RC.
(1) Can you order a bottle of spirits as part of an in-room set-up?
(2) can you buy some form of Coffee Card?
(3) Is there a good site with up to date menus?
(4) We have Celebrity loyalty membership - is it recognised on RC? Do we collect points, is it worth signing up to RC Loyalty as well?
(5) What are the main differences you think we'll notice between RC and Celebrity
Many thanks
1. You are not able to buy bottles of spirits as part of an in room set up but you can take two bottles of wine on-broad with you to drink in your stateroom.
2. Coffee cards are not available some of the drinks packages have coffee included.
3. Someone on here may be able to post a copy of the current menu's from a recent cruise.
4. Yes Royal will should recognise your current status you should be able to check that on Royal's web site.
5. Sorry can't help with this not sailed on Celebrity.

Some Preziosa cruises being moved to Virtuosa...

We sailed on Virtuosa recently anyone who has booked an accessible cabin be aware that apart from the bed the cabins have no other furniture i.e no sofa, chairs to sit on and no table so you have no option but to sit on the bed, having room service is interesting as apart from the dressing table there is no other place to put anything apart from the bed.
