Are the kids playing up, or is it just their being there that bothers you.
Something like Howl is a bit of a grey area. Kids are specifically allowed before a certain time. Whilst I wouldn't take my son there after the suggested time, I have never heard anything there which would bother me much.
No, they weren't playing up at all but the content wasn't suitable for children as they did keep saying to the audience before 11 so I just don't understand why a parent would want their kids to hear things meant for over 18's.
-
Howl at the moon definitely wasn't as good this year after 11 as you could, just tell the guys weren't comfortable with young children in the audience and I don't blame them if their are fathers themselves. I do blame however the parents who feel it is ok for young kids to be at shows like this after the allocated time. On epic it was a kid called Ethan who just shouldn't have been there. He was good fun but not when it ruined it for the adult section of the show.

Maybe I've missed some posts as I can't believe I'm the first person to say how shocked I was at the amount of parents taking their children to "adult shows". The warnings came on at Priscilla queen of the dessert and howl at the moon and still parents sat with children as young as five years old but even kids around 13.
It is adult for a reason!!! Your children if under 18 should NOT be at these shows.
It's the only thing I wish NCL could endorse more and not allow children to the shows but then I guess they think they are dealing with responsible adults which they obviously are not.
I definitely do not enjoy sitting in an adult show with kids around 10 years old listening too, just not right so,it's my holiday they are ruining as well.

All comes down to personal taste as although we loved teppanyaki it would have Been more fun but not really good food but everyone is different. For a good elegant meal the I would say Le Bistro.
-
On the Epic Le Bistro was by far the best speciality restaurant for us. Also we never had any smell of smoke and we ate there three times and have very clear nasal passages but perhaps the smoke smell was on other ships. It was very good food indeed and much better than the others which we have also gone to.

What are the five booking incentives? I thought it was four. Like others have said all the perks are great.

Thanks SLRoth. I have seen many posts on cc about this Upsell over quite a long period of time now but thought it was perhaps only for US citizens which is why i was interested.
-
Can I ask are you US citizens? I'm UK and have never got one of these e-mails. Thanks.

They can go to haven restaurant with you for a fee but they are definitely not allowed at the courtyard pool area as this is for Haven only. I can see why as I wouldn't want to pay a premium price and have other guests coming in who haven't paid. To be fair if I couldn't get a seat in the haven restaurant due to passengers bringing in their "non-haven" guests I would be pretty upset. Think NCL need to work on this as this question comes up a lot.
-
I keep hearing how good the food is in the HAven restaurant and would like to know do you still try the speciality restaurants or do you just stick to Haven if it's so good?? Thanks.

I realise I'm in the minority but I do miss formal nights. We don't get a chance at home to go to formal events so it was the only chance to get out the tux and a nice formal dress. I go with celebrity if I really want now to have this but in answer to the op's question I do miss them.

Ive read posts on here of the Grand Harbour hotel having a left luggage service where you pay per bag.
This poster has given info if you need to leave your bag somewhere. Hope you get sorted.

On a Britannia cruise in June we arrived for our allocated time and it was quite obvious a lot of people in the terminal had arrived early and were sitting looking not to happy. You were given a letter of the alphabet relating to the time you were given and the early arrivals were given their appropriate letter which is how it should be. It was a bit unfair of the early arrivals as all the seats were taken so people were having to stand around which isn't much fun when you arrive as you are told to. P&O give out boarding times for a reason to try and streamline the operation and this just doesn't work if passengers continue to take it into their own hands to go at what time suits them. We were delighted with the checkin which worked very well.

We have done fjords cruise twice with other cruise lines and my recommendation is that Gerainger is on the itinerary as it is just beautiful to sail into. The train excursion in flam is worth doing, some spectacular scenery. It has rained in Bergen the two times we have been and apparently it always rains there but it is pleasant to walk around.
Visited in June this year and the daylight lasting well after midnight was amazing. As long as you know weather can be very changeable and to have an umbrella and waterproof coat etc then you are fine. Our climate is very similar so we were in our summer clothes but a lot of people from warmer climates were wearing much heavier clothing. The scenery is just fantastic. On the sail into Gerainger the lady standing beside me said "don't you just think you've died and gone to heaven"!!

We usually cruise with RCCL or last 10 years with celebrity and last June went on Norwegian epic and we had a really great cruise. I guess it also depends on passengers but it was a great cruise and although it is advertised as freestyle and casual everyone really made an effort in the evenjngs to dress very smartly. Food was very good indeed, entertainment great and we enjoyed it so much we are booked again for this October. We were very impressed and hope oct will be just as good.

Just noticed a couple of shows on NCL Epic and says booking advisable. We don't usually know until the actual day what way our plans are going to be and whether we attend shows or not but this looks like we would need to pre-book? Any advice would be great. Thank you.

i would be very disappointed indeed if I had paid for a suite and had all the inconveniences you had. The furniture looks dreadful and all the issues that came with it and the smell. I'm glad you still had a good holiday.

Enjoyed the review as we have booked Haven in sept as a treat and it sounds like we won't be disappointed.

Btw. London is still Part of Europe;)
My nice has been to Barcelona last week, she did not feel unsafe at all.
Marie
Sorry marie, should have written more nervous about visiting London than Barcelona. Glad your niece felt safe when she was there last week.

If hc cabins were given out to everyone plus size who asked for one it seems a bit unfair that someone in a wheelchair for example wouldn't be able to get a room because they would all be taken.
-
It does make me a little more nervous and we are sailing from Barcelona in October but I lived through the Troubles in NI and don't want terrorists to win. I'm actually more nervous about visiting London than Europe.

We were on Epic June 2015 and expected the dress in the evenings to be very casual and we would have been smart causal but everyone was dressed so nicely and people had really made an effort. It was so much more like people going out to a restaurant, didn't see shorts etc. I guess it just depends on the other passengers as well.
How do Coke drinkers manage on NCL ships?

You might be really surprised how good you feel and how your skin is after a holiday wirh no coke. The break from sugar can only be good.
