I have tickets for an unguided visit to the palace and on the ticket it says you can download the app for information regarding the palace for the tour. My question is: Are we able to download the app now and retain it on our phone until our visit? I would at least like to download it before leaving the US because I don't know if I will have cell service in Palma.

To be fair, it’s not that they don’t have any, it just doesn’t seem to be syncing with our schedule. 

Love your narrative. Your pictures are great as well. We won't be on the Solstice until early 2025 for a Hawaii to Vancouver cruise. We have a couple on the Reflection before we get to that one.

So are the free lobsters the spiny/rock lobsters and the ones you pay for Maine lobsters? I would be willing to pay an additional fee for a Maine lobster. 

We are looking forward to the rest of your reviews. We sail from Barcelona on a TA in Oct. 

Roger we will be in Palma Oct 21st. Will be able to get into the palace on that day? I can't find tickets online. Do I have to buy them at the facility itself or are they available online somewhere I'm not looking? 

Celebrity can do better particularly in the main dining room. I realize the cost containment issues, but for example two dishes can be made for exactly the same price; one prepared well by a good chef/kitchen crew the other not so much by a lesser talented chef/kitchen crew. I believe that Celebrity needs to refocus on their food. The food prior to the pandemic didn't necessarily have to be expensive items, but what they did prepare was very well done. Not so much on the last four cruises I've been on with them. The food is not bad, just not up to the standards that Celebrity presented before. They can save money in other areas of the ship. 

Question: We were in Palma last October (2022). Celebrity did not charge for the shuttles to the cathedral. They were running back and forth about every 20 minutes. It was very convenient.  Is the charge for the shuttle something new?

It's interesting to me that in the Cunard advertising they seem to be making the point that the gala theme nights are not mandatory. It seems they are leaning more toward the smart casual theme. Which brings us back to the original question. 

How many people actually participate in the gala nights? Are there any venues that you can't access if you don't dress up?

I was on the Constellation last October. The food was good, but the selections seemed limited. That being said I feel that even cheaper costing food can be very good/even gourmet if it is cooked with inspiration and done well. Maybe Celebrity needs a new executive chef and/or some retraining on some of their ships.

We were there in October and Celebrity had a free shuttle bus that ran back and forth from the ship to the cathedral. I can't remember the exact time frame but it ran something like every twenty minutes to thirty minutes. It went very smoothly.

I just found your posts. It is always great to follow you guys on the boards. I will be following daily as usual. 

Total waste of time!  Celebrity sent me a survey about using the Wonderverse and I told them the same thing. They need to use their marketing money elsewhere. 

I've been elite for a while and was never aware of the elite breakfast. I guess I need to read up on the benefits. Are the breakfasts anything special? I normally hit the buffet or maybe the main dining room once or twice.
