  1. We sailed on the Oasis of the Seas last summer with our then 6 month old and there was a small splash area just for diapered babies.
  2. Correct. It was originally 8/19 but they have since added a day.
  3. We are 2 adults and 3 kids. They will be 9, 7 and 2 at the time of the sailing. The BL1 has bunk beds and the baby could stay with us in the large bed if necessary but we really wanted the 2nd bathroom. They did move it to another studio but it's on the complete other side of the ship. I think what I was looking for was if anyone thinks MSC will make this right or should I just give up.
  4. Not until 8/2024 so we have plenty of time until final payment but the price has increased and there doesn't seem to be any studios available anymore.
  5. This is what we booked. Our's is a BL1 (aft balcony) and a IS (studio) for a family of 5. I don't know if MSC officially calls these "family balcony" but I found the same terminology used on other sites.
  6. Supposedly they keep telling them that it's in inventory and to call back in 72hrs. This is going on every 3 days since August.
  7. We are a family of 5 and booked what our TA called a "family cabin" which is really just a 4 person cabin connected to a studio. In August there was an itinerary change on our sailing and along with that MSC changed both our cabins. They are nowhere near each other! Since August our TA has been calling MSC constantly and their only response has been "this will be resolved in 72 hrs". After 5+ times of them saying this will be resolved in 72hrs we still have no resolution. At this point should we just assume MSC isn't going to do anything about it? I know other cruise lines have executive contacts that usually help in these situations is there anyone at MSC I can reach out to?

  9. It looks like the sailing is getting added and removed. As of right now it is not available to be booked. MSC just sent the following to those that are already booked: "We are contacting you with an important update concerning your cruise which is scheduled to sail on 8/19/2024 from New York City aboard MSC Meraviglia. Due to necessary operational reasons, we have had to make some modifications to your cruise itinerary. This is to inform you that your 6-night sailing on 8/19/2024 has been rescheduled and will now depart from New York on 8/18/2024. Please note that the length of your cruise has been extended to 7 nights. You will not be charged for the extra night. The itinerary has also been modified."
  10. This makes the most sense. There are sailings leaving this week that I'm sure are sold out but are still on the website. This is completely removed.
  11. I booked a sailing for 8/19/24 on the Meraviglia but it no longer shows up on the MSC website. If I login I do still see the sailing in my account but I cant add additional rooms. Does this mean anything? Should I be expecting a cancellation or change in itinerary?
  12. I have 2 separate reservations but in connecting cabins. How do we make sure this doesn't happen?
  13. Why would proximity be a challenge? Wouldn't that only be a problem with guranteed?
  14. I'm looking at a cabin and there seems to be a symbol that isn't showing on the legend and I wanted to see if anyone knows what it means. 9294 and 9290 should be a mirrored floorplan but there is a symbol showing on 9294 and wanted to check if anyone has any insight.
  15. I think this week or next week is a slightly different itinerary. Not the usual Sun - Sun 7 day. Cruise compass might be a little off.
  16. Something similar happened to me and I saw at least one other occurrence posted here in the past month. RCCL doesn't care and my TA was useless. If you're lucky they might offer a refund through the executive office but you need to contact them directly.
  17. The gator at Gators tastes just like popcorn chicken. Its heavily breaded.
  18. Im sailing on Oasis 8/21 and it looks like I can book it. Its on sale for $116.99 which seems steep to me.
  19. I received an email to fill out a vaccination questionnaire but I think its more of a request. I have 3 kids under 12 and we sail in about 50 days. "Your sailing is fast approaching, and we're looking forward to welcoming you onboard. We would appreciate if you could take a moment to provide your COVID-19 vaccination status ahead of your cruise. Please complete the short form below. NOTE: All Royal Caribbean guests aged 12 and older must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days before sailing. While vaccination is not required for guests under 12, we kindly ask that you fill out their status below to help us ensure we are meeting the CDC requirements to sail as Highly Vaccinated. Feel free to visit our FAQs for full details on vaccination requirements."
  20. I was told that the room has a pull-out couch and not a pullman which is the issue. Was so stuck on everything else going on I didn't know that was an option. I could probably even get a drink package for just 1 person 🙂 Right now we are 2 adults in 1 room and 3 kids in the other.
  21. I appreciate the input and totally get it but in the end the single cabin would be preferred for us.
  22. That post was after they moved me. Was still dealing with it at the time so thought my post would be helpful. The cabin they moved me to is 8D. If you are going through my post history you can see the thread I started in December (before the baby came) was resolved by adding the baby and keeping my single cabin.
  23. I said the exact same thing! I even did the math of what our 2 cabins would cost and what 1 suite would be and it was close to comparable. I left out that the the rep in the executive office sent me an email suggesting I bid on a larger room.
  24. The big thing for us is the large balcony and the location. We have 3 under 7 and the 2 big ones end up in our bed anyway. We frankly don't feel comfortable with them in a separate room even if it is connected. The 2 bathrooms isn't important either. With the kids going to bed relatively early, the large balcony was very important. Also our new cabin is directly in front of the elevator which we purposely avoided. I know some would prefer the 2 cabins but it doesn't fit what we were looking for.
  25. My TA was pretty much useless - I had to let them know about the cabin change. I went through the executive office to get any answers. They actually lowered my OBC because the new cabin wasn't part of their group.
