  1. Here's the thread. It's also an "interesting" read....
  2. That sounds interesting. I don't know if it would be a staple on the cocktails I'd drink, but I'd try it....ONCE!
  3. I think I’m going to try to order one on my upcoming cruise. See what the bartenders say! LOL!
  4. That’s the entire reason I’m here……to be interesting!!!!!
  5. I’m Diamond level on Royal. So, I spend some time over on those threads, too. Don’t comment as much as I haven’t sailed Royal as much since the restart (actually, just once). But, found a funny thread over there where there was someone reviewing their cruise on one of RCL’s newer ships and is certain that Royal is sending their worse ships to the U.K. As punishment for not being what s/he wants their cruise to be like. Whiny is not exclusive to NCL.
  6. That’s a good question. I see no pattern to who does and doesn’t get the coupons.
  7. They’re throwing a bunch of coupons out there. I had a coupon for Alaska 20% off. Used that a few moths ago. Had another for 50% off Alaska on the smaller ships. Didn’t use that. Had one for 20% off Mediterranean Cruises. Booked that for OCT. 2 more showed up that had to be used by June 22 for more Alaska cruises. Those expired and are no longer there. Can’t make any sense why some get the coupons and some don’t.
  8. OK...it was Seattle. And, it was the JW on the waterfront I stayed in. Happy now? 😄 😉
  9. Now you're going to make me go look it up when/where I stayed there. you are SUCH A TEACHER! OK....hold on...I'll be back shortly. 🙂
  10. I love this. It really is apropos to this thread....
  11. Interesting gadget. Thanks. I am doing "minimalism" when cruising these days. So, it probably wouldn't make it into my luggage. But, for overnight road trips staying at hotels? Definitely.
  12. Yep...it was served in the Observation Lounge on the Bliss.....and at the District Brew House a few months ago on our Alaska Cruise.
  13. Great itinerary. One of my faves. I stayed in that same JW last year for an Alaska on the Encore. IIRC it was one of the Hotel options that AMEX offered with some healthy restaurant and drink credits. I paid for the rest in points. So, I think it cost me nothing except tips for dinner and drinks. Loving the review. Glad you're having a great time.
  14. Those Starbucks packets, while not ideal, are way better than that urn coffee in the buffet. That stuff is kin to gas station coffee. They do have the smaller capsule Nespresso machines in the Haven Suites.
  15. -Just add hot water…. https://maxpressocoffee.com/what-is-maxpresso -bring a carton of milk and sugar packets from the buffet https://www.starbucks.com/menu/product/24/via
  16. Club Balcony Cabins are nice…particularly the bathroom! Plus, they come with a nice laundry perk! I think the term “Club” is simply a designation to differentiate it from a regular balcony cabin….not that it is part of any “club”!
  17. There are no Concierge and Butler suites on the Breakaway and Breakaway Plus ships. Jewel Class does, and now, it appears the Prima does, too. Not sure about Spririt class as I've never sailed them.
  18. I had read that Prima had "suite" cabins with Butler and Concierges but wasn't part of the Haven. I had the same sort of "suite" on the Gem. Not in the Haven but with access to a Butler and Concierge. My concierge set up shop in Moderno and had set hours. But, she also responded via phone, which I could call from my cabin. Nice to see Prima is doing the same thing....a suite without the Haven cost.
  19. I think drinks are available 24 hours. But, you can order something from the room service menu. Have to look, but I think burgers were available.
  20. Dress how you want. I like going to the party to chat it up with the crew. Met some nice folks at the party, too. Listen to the Cruise Next PPT or not. Up to you!
  21. BTW…..you can delete the drink package on your reservation.
  22. Oh…they’re out there. Not many, but I steer clear of them on a cruise ship (and in life) as I just can’t fathom being around them. I don’t need someone else’s negativity. It takes a whole lot for me to be upset. So, the less I’m around those kind of folks, the less likely I am to have my day ruined by them. In Cruise Critic, you can pretty easily see who they are.
  23. Free at Sea Drink Package also includes sodas. So, add up the number of sodas you drink, and it still may be worthwhile to just pay the tips on the Free at Sea Drink package. Personally, I don’t drink sodas….hardly at all. I do love me some bourbon, though.
