  1. Thanks, Henry! WiFi metered by time, not data. Been good about logging off and using Verizon where/when I can. Still not great, but not terrible! Not sure about plans for tomorrow. Pretty much flying by the seat of my pants. Would like to do Acadia. But ship tours sold out. Will see if I can score a tour at the pier. Will put Route 66 Restaurant on the to do list. Time to go mischief hunting!
  2. LaCucina tonight…. Arugula Salad with Parmesan slivers….Filet with Blue Cheese Ravioli. Excellent!
  3. For a port I was not excited about, I enjoyed it and was glad I wandered!
  4. Cool little train ride. Narrow track train. Passenger/commercial train used between mid-late 1800s between Portland and Montreal. Tracks are ~½ the size of regular train tracks (cheaper to make/operate, easier to maneuver). Used now for tourism and The Polar Express, starting in two weeks.
  5. As a result of the locals, lunched here. Best $25 I’ve spent this week. Plus, they had a very talented duo playing and singing. Plus, it turned out to be a nice day…that’s a WIN-WIN-WIN…
  6. Ship docked! Wandered in Portland. Found local people who were very accommodating and willing to make recommendations.
  7. Well….CC WENT WONKY today. So, some posts are missing. Will have to rewrite then later. Thanks to all for the great suggestions for Portland. Got a late start because of making poor decisions that sounded good at the time. 😉 But, back in the saddle!
  8. Was at the Excursion Desk this a.m. checking out things to do in Portland. Chatted with the Excursion Manager for a bit about the Covid Shutdown/Startup. He asked if they had ever given me my Latitude Status pins given the 2 year hiatus. I told him “no”. He grabbed a handful and gave them to me…. LOL!
  9. @mking8288….this is for you given I know you track this. Ship’s WiFi. Not great, but not bad, either. Still only used less than ½ my free minutes.
  10. Side note about my room steward. He introduced himself the first day, but sadly, don’t recall his name. He’s in his early 20s. Polite and nearly invisible. I leave a note for him about getting a coffee maker, and voila, it just shows up. I leave for a walk or breakfast, put the “Make Up Room” on? and like a stealthy steward ninja, he has my room made up without me seeing hide nor hair of him. He’s getting a good tip! As an aside, getting my first load of laundry done for being in a Club Balcony! Will get the 2nd Latitudes perk done Friday….clean clothes to pack for the trip home
  11. That’s the plan then! Thanks! Wander around like a homeless person and “blend in”! Lobster roll it is!
  12. Breakfast at Savor. Quite good…good and service very similar to my Haven breakfasts in the past!
  13. In Portland today (actually docking in a couple of hours). Foggy now, but is supposed to burn off. Not really sure what I’ll do…. Kennebunkport Cruise Tour? LL Bean? Lighthouses? None of those really excite me. May just get off and nose around!
  14. Heard their counterparts on the Getaway this past Summer. Both are great. Both are equally good! And yes…get there early!
