Mentioned before, was only able to sit through Six with a steady supply of cocktails during the show. -
Encore: Ncl replacing canceled production show with game show

Same for NCL. If you do a b behind the scenes tour, you'll see the elaborate costuming and sets. The only one that didn't have an elaborate set and costumes was Blue Man Group. Rock of Ages was a show I think ran the longest, or maybe Burn the Floor. Burn the Floor is still playing. I've seen it 3 times and have enjoyed it every time. Six? I can take or leave. Not my Fave. Neither was Priscilla nor Kinky Boots. I understand why they were not renewed. Getting ready to see Donna on the Prima. Never seen the game shows, so have heard some good things about them. Will try to get into one of them. My faves are the shows in Syd Norman's though. As good as anything I've seen on any cruise ship. They're just a whole lot of fun. -
How to find Travel agent for Cruises
graphicguy replied to Cruising1122's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
I think it's sort of a "try them out until you find a good one". I would make a list of what you're looking for. -Do you need someone to hold your hand through the booking and planning process? Small travel agency is best for that. -Are you looking for price and perks? Only need a booking agency? Big box and large internet discount agencies for that. If you want to deal directly with NCL, a Personal Cruise Consultant with NCL probably is your only bet. Understand, they can not vary from published prices and can not offer many of the perks a travel agent can. But, they will walk you through all the choices you have for dates, ships, itineraries, cabins, excursion choices, etc. It's kind of a "try and buy" scenario with all the options. -

Got it! RocketMan and I have conversed. We have crossed career geography. Your presence will be missed. We will tilt one for you. The rest? History! -

It’s a new ship. Call and see if they have any cabins left. Your friend can ask the bartender in person!😉 -

Nothing to do with bidding on an upgrade (was I think the OP was doing), my last cruise in October on the Epic Had a (relatively) cheap Haven cabin. I don't put much stock into bidding for an upgrade. But, when offered, I always take a look at the upgrade slider(s). Was arranging some hotels with my TA and she mentioned there were some really nice HAVEN cabins to upgrade cheaply. OK...I'll bite. How about a 2BR Haven Suite in Haven proper for an upgrade price of $112, total? Deal. The MINIMUM bid on the same suite was 10x that. Probably never stay in a 2BR suite again. Can now say that I did. -

Well now. This is fun. We need some picture diagrams, maybe a power point. OP...just provide the (much requested) full invoice of the fare you were charged....not just small snippets here and there. Block out any personal information. It will say "Confirmation Guest Copy". That will show everything. Fare, perks, OBC, etc. They emailed it to you when you made your reservation. Then, show the $50 upgrade fare you're seeing with the same itinerary, ship and dates. Screen capture will be fine as an attachment. I do believe we can help guide you, but only if we have correct information so we know which direction to point you to. -

Ehhhhh… looked at the balcony vs club balcony fares. Have looked at a couple of sites and NCL. Mocked your cruise on the NCL site. Have not seen any sort of upgrade available from the balcony to a Club Balcony for anywhere close to $50. I know of two fellow cruisers who received (paid for) upgrades in the last 10 days. If it’s not on the bid site, not sure where the $50 upgrade cost is coming from. No matter…. best of luck on your cruise! -

Yeah…if we had the ship and date of sailing, we could probably get this sorted out! -

Where did the upgrade slider issue come from? -

You want an upgrade for the minimum $50 bid amount shown on the slider. That means nothing except you BID. You may get it, but probably won’t. And, they usually don’t tell you if you won a bid until right before sailing. They are giving you the fare to upgrade without bidding. Two different things! -

If I’m reading this right, OP booked. It’s past final payment. NCL sent the “bid for upgrade” email. OP wants the upgrade for the minimum $50 bid. But, as the site explains, it’s only a bid. That bid probably won’t get the cabin s/he wants. S/he called NCL requesting the cabin for the minimum upgrade bid amount. Of course, that can’t be done because that’s only a bid, not a. actual fare. So, NCL quotes the upgraded fare, which has nothing to do with the minimum bid. -

Ahhhh…I see! Upgrade after final payment. That’s a whole different ball of yarn. Trying this on the “bid to upgrade” site (using the slider was mentioned)? Just because the minimum bid on the upgrade slider shows $50, it’s a bid, not an upgrade price. -

The difference in date of booking is likely the culprit. Why not just cancel your current booking and rebook the new cabin and pay the $50? -
Is this an option for a new NCL show?

I vaguely remember hearing about this a little while ago. I’d go see them! 👍 -
The DSC/OBC is distributed to the people you do see, and those your don't, like stewards, bussers, etc. I think you just found the one steward who used the oldest trick in the book....the sympathy tip. Every once in a while this will pop up. Some room steward will mention they don't get any sort of "cut" of the DSC, and therefore "guilts" the guest into tipping them. Understand, I do this anyway. Further, what your steward didn't tell you, the rooms s/he had to clean may have doubled, but s/he's on cleaning them once per day, instead of two times/day. So, twice as many rooms but only cleaned 50% of the time they used to have to do. But, I'm betting if Customer Service heard of this, the cabin steward in question may find themselves reprimanded or out of a job.
