  1. This is what I mean. Realized in the app I could get a picture. Day one is greyed out; can not reserve. It’s just a 7 night; I depart that morning in Boston.
  2. So if the drink is $12 you pay just the 18% on the dollar or on the $12? I understand if $11 or below the 18% is taken care of in the package
  3. I have a confirmation for the things I booked, yes. But they have the wrong dates open for my trip. They have 7 nights open open for reservations, just the wrong block of 7 nights.
  4. I’m on a 9/2-9/9 sailing and have been booking specialty dining. There were no options for the first night which was surprising and disappointing but if they weren’t opening the restaurants, nothing to be done. But when I looked for more reservations, I see I can book dinner for disembarkation day. They have the whole week off by a day. Reservations are available for Sept 3-9 instead of Sept 2-8. I called HAL. The agent saw the same thing and took it to whoever was in charge. That person said it’s right. So, I can book a meal 12 hours after I’ve left the ship. I guess I’m hoping someone from HAL sees this. There is zero chance just a customer can get the word through. (and do they not open restaurants on embarkation day if we are overnight in port? That could be the answer on the front end but doesn’t explain booking the night after we have gone home)
  5. Which Chase card are you depending on? If it’s the Sapphire Reserve the costs are all insured if a portion is on that card. But. I have had terrible success in filing claims with Chase. They repeatedly ask for the same information then deny claims if someone continues plating their game and resubmitting documents repeatedly. If you really need to protect yourself, you might want an outside policy.
  6. See if the dates are wrong on your trip as well. I double checked cruise dates on the confirmation thinking oh crap…..My flights are wrong. Nope. It’s only dining that is off by a day.
  7. Actually really odd thing on the specialty dining. Just went to see if Canaletto was open the first night. Nope. Nothing at either first night. Then look at options….it is available for the disembarkation city the day trip ends. They have the dates wrong on the HAL website!
  8. Zuiderdam. So only the MDR. Is there a Club orange line for entering? Neptune is supposed to have those benefits so we go there if we switch? I tried to get Pinacle for the first night but it doesn’t appear open. I tried the day reservations opened. First was day two
  9. Right now I am reserved for second seating. We usually ask onboard for a table for two. I guess I could ask the Neptune concierge to arrange that. (??) BUT considering anytime dining for the first time ever. Is it easy enough to get get a table alone with anytime dining?
  10. I saw the “schedule “ once and now can not find it again. I am looking for the day by day of what I’ve reserved. Can someone share the link or the way to get there. I am booked through a TA but was when I saw it as well.
  11. With the HIA, at dinner if I want sparkling water do they give a large bottle on the package or that would not be included?
  12. I’m happy to see a few private companies listed. I will look there. The Holland America ones look……not sure what the right word is…..all on a bus looking out windows. There doesn’t appear to be much sporty. I’d rather hike at a waterfall than simply be looking at it from the bus.
  13. Just paying the difference is a change, isn’t it? My last cruise was pre Covid. If it was more than the set price I think we had to pay the whole price.

  15. The reservations only opened last evening. Slots were available, some glitch keeps me from doing anything though. I called again and got a different agent. She immediately said no problem, cancelled the paid one and booked it under the promo. All set now.
  16. I emailed my assigned PCC about booking and never got a response. I email Cruise quick and they took care of me immediately. not even an automated reply like I work Tu-Sat or I’m out of the office, please call X. Just nothing.
  17. I read here the fax number on the newest form was wrong, if I remember correctly. I used a previous for for a trip in the fall and got confirmation the same day.
  18. Finally a guy there said just try again in May. No free spots open yet. But it shows I have the credits. Then he said we only get 1 free on the 7 night; not 1 each.
  19. Yes. Tried clicking one name and booking both meals, snd tried reserving one each time. Either way, I pay full price.

  21. On a 7 night cruise, which night is Gala Night?
  22. Dining reservations opened for my early September cruise. I went to reserve Pinnacle for the first night (not open it seems?) so I did book the second night but I was charged. At the time I made it it asked for a promo code which I wasn’t given. I paid and have a receipt though I can’t see it nor can HAL when I inquired about the charge. How do I reserve a “free” reservation?
  23. Suite entree in the dining room? This is new, I guess, from my last pre Covid cruise. Do we get a special menu at dinner?
