I had booked a refundable deposit inside cabin for our July 12 Alaska cruise. The final payment date had arrived and Casino Royale hadn't offered the Prime free cruises for 2019. After calling they extended my final payment a week. And the casino had the Prime list ready in 5 days. Was able to upgrade to a balcony for $700.
Worked out well but a lot of nail biting.
rt1092 can you tell me where you found the refundable deposit? Everytime i pull up a cruise the options are we book the room or you book the room but both are non-refundable.

Hi guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but is there an ocean near Baltimore Maryland? I've seen a cruise for Nov 9th, of next yr on the Grandeur Ots, its a 11 day cruise round trip out of Baltimore. Been scratchin my head after I saw that sailing. Anybody got any answers? Inquiring minds would like to know.
Virginia
LOL Yes Virginia- once out of the Chesapeake Bay, you are in the Atlantic Ocean. I cruise out of Baltimore about two times a year and I love it! I live 15 minutes from the port. Have a great time. It is super easy to embark in Baltimore- in line for 10 minutes then you are on the ship. Super organized.

how about booking onboard and then transferring it to Club Royale when you get home- I am a prime member and i get good discounts thru the Club.

I have a question. I am thinking of booking an Alaskan cruise for next summer now and will of course put the $500 down for each of 2 cabins to reserve this. If I rmain Prime all this year until next April- will i be able to use my free cruise on this already booked one? I know the port charges are $200 each so there would still be $50 extra that we would have paid for my cabin. would they allow me to use it on this already booked cruise and how will they refund that extra $50 each per person- would it be OBC- or would we just lose it? Thanks in advance

the going, going gone sale had some interior cabins for 799 interior, 899 oceanview for 7/19/19 and 599 for interior and 699 for 8/2 both on the Radiance! Sometimes it pays to wait until a few months before

It cost me $202...I couldn't just let it go....and we go the upgrade because my Husband and I are both Prime....although, this is a lot...we did a 8 day in December 2018 (Grandeur), a 7 day in March 2019 (Anthem), now a 5 day August 2019 (Grandeur) and a Back to Back - 14 days in December 2019 (Adventurer)....it seems a little indulgent, but...oh well. I can't wait.
How did it only cost $202 when port fees and taxes are 152.49 per person?????

We have 9 Night cruise coming up on the Grandeur (Bermuda/Coco Cay/Bahamas), and we've booked a BOGO dining package.
Am I correct in understanding that you have to use the BOGO on nights one AND two, and thus we'll have to miss the first formal night in the MDR since it will be on the second night?
Yes- that is correct, but the best formal night is the 2nd one anyway (i believe day 7) because that is the one with lobster and prime rib lol

Bronx12 will it be for just one or is it a two person offer?
-
oh well i only have 3500 for this year so maybe thats why?
-
i didnt get any of these offers- i checked today- does everyone get it?
-
i always get an inside cabin as well for the same reason- i would rather spend the savings onnexcursions, the spa or st ghe casino! i dont spend much time in the cabin (sleep, shower) so a balcony is lost on me in any case.

Latex balloons biodegradable and plastic does not, but I see your point. I guess they have to start somewhere so the straw was the first to go. We no longer have plastic bags at the grocery store so I have adjusted and either deal with paper bags or bring my own. We also do not have plastic straws. I am looking forward to the balloon drop so hopefully they will continue it at least until September😊
Kids with latex allergies have so many dangers- latex and rubber is in so many unsuspecting items- basketballs, balloons etc. Hopefully RCCL is mindful and tries to be careful. Parents need to ask questions about latex items in the Adventure Ocean.

We booked this cruise while we were on the Harmony in May 2018 (just DH and I). We booked for just our immediate family (5 of us total). Now we have more family wanting to book, but the prices are just going up and up. Do any of you know, based on past trends, whether there will be better rates/deals in the future? It might be hard to predict because this is a new ship. Our son booked a balcony with his girlfriend during the Black Friday sale and his room total with gratuities and insurance was $2500.00. Now the interior room is a little less than $2500 without adding gratuities and insurance. I have a feeling that the price is not going to get any better. Any other insight from more seasoned RC cruisers?
Thank you in advance!
Diane
Diane- i can just tell you that in November 2018 i booked the Symphony for Nov 2, 2019 for an inside cabin which has dropped in price since then, 9 times (including OBC offered, 60% off, Wow sale, etc. It is now $600 less for the two of us ($300 each) then it was when i first booked it so yes i think you will definitely see price drops- also it wont be as new at that time. I would feel confident to go ahead and book it.

We're cruising on the Allure in 4 weeks with friends of ours and I'm looking for ideas for a small "cruise gift" to get them that will be of use on the cruise. For example, they already got us lanyards and last time we cruised with them, we got them boca towel clips.
Let me know what kind of clever ideas y'all can think of! 😀
The dollar store has a very cute lanyard for seapass cards (get a hole punched in it by guest services). It has a blue anchor symbol and will remind you of the crown and anchor! $1 each

I was told that they’re no longer being offered. They pulled them from all my upcoming cruises.
Yup they just told me that they are no longer offering this- must have been some problems

i can't even find this anymore on my three booked cruises- the earlies of which is in 49 days. It was there two months ago- but not anymore. Also not for a cruise in 149 days and 325 days. Are they doing away with this feature?
-
Actually i just checked all three cruises i have booked, one the end of match, one in november and one next february and none of them have it offered anymore yet i had seen it for each of them up to a couple weeks ago. That makes me think they may be stopping the offer so those of you that have it are fortunate that you already got it!

Check back closer to your sailing date, some have commented it was added 6 weeks or so prior to their cruise.
The precruise casino chips and slot offers were on my precruise planner for the past several weeks and now today 66 days out it has disappeared. Are they doing away with it since it was there and is now gone?

We will be on grandeur in June. Docks seven am. If we carry off luggage can we make the 11 15 flight? What is traffic like Saturday mornings going to airport?
I live in Baltimore and have been on the Grandeur many times. You are about 1 1/2 hrs from Reagan if traffic is good! No way can you disembark and get to Reagan and have enough time to get through security etc. I would look for 12 or even 1.

It is listed as a disembark day option at the end of the cruise. It is in our cruise planner.
There are two different ones- one is during the cruise and then the other is as you say,is on disembark day.

Does Royal no longer serve Moscato wine? When I look at a picture of the wine list Moscato is not listed. I love Moscato wine and would be disappointed if they did not have it.
yes they do- it is what i drink...However, not in the diamond + list of drinks. they have a limited number of wines such as white zinfandel, chardonnay, a couple of reds etc. not moscato

I will be going on the radiance of the sea in a week. Does anyone know if they have complementary herbal tea such as chamomile? Also, what do you think the best meal or dessert on the ship is that has no additional charge. Thnak you!

not so- i applied my $300 discount to an already booked cruise for February 2020 from a cruise i did the end of March this year. It all depends on who you get on your call- if i get the foreign call center i thank them and hang up and try again until i get the US call center who are much more helpful.
