  1. More pictures of Victory leaving:

I was lucky enough to get a picture of Victory’s big screen as it said “Adios Miami, Hello Fun!” I didn’t see that on Liberty’s so glad I got Victory’s.

"Adios Miami, Hello Fun!" - Victory's Sail Away/Deck party in full swing:

If any of you reading were on Victory on the April 5th sailing, this is you guys. Enjoy the pics. If any of you (Victory passengers) have pictures of Liberty as you were leaving, please feel free to post. I’d love to have some.

Awe...you missed me on the Victory by two weeks. I was on the March 22 sailing. :D

  2. The Alchemy Bar is wonderful. In addition to trying some of the great drinks on their menu, the mixologist made some drinks (not on the menu) based on what I like, and I was hooked. Lol I became a regular at that bar during my 7 day cruise. :o

  3. We are looking at the conquest and we found a flight in that lands at 1:30. Is that enough time to get bags, deplane, get on the ship and all, or should I get an earlier flight? Thanks.

I have never traveled by air on the day of the cruise. If I did, I would definately get an earlier flight. I would book one that is scheduled to land before noon, and even then I would still be nervous about that. Good luck!

  4. I usually purchase FTTF, but will not be doing so on the Valor. The only reason I purchase it is to have my cabin ready as soon as I board the ship.

This sailing doesn't leave until 10:00pm, so I am going to sleep in, stay at my hotel until check out time, have a leisurely breakfast or brunch and then board the ship around 1-2pm. Cabin will be ready by then, so there's no reason for me to get FTTF.

  5. Thats' the way I look at it. I hesitate at first, then ask if anyone IS using it, then I have a lounger. When I leave, if the chog isn't back yet,....I have a blue towel too. Simple. I once met a guy and wife, who told me that they take an extra folding suitcase with them, just for the towels. I wouldn't go that far.

Lol...that's funny. I wouldn't go that far either. I just ask one of the staff to take those items away.

In fairness, if someone were to come over right after I sit down, I would get up and find another seat. But if I'm sitting for 30 mins or more, you can forget asking me to move anywhere. Lol. The last time I did this, the chog showed up about an hour later looking for her stuff. My sister and I told her to see the staff for her things, and we did not move.

  6. Ok so its been a long time waiting to go on that Big Beauty of a ship once again, 367 days later!! (i know not qute as long as others ) But today We can finally do our Single Digit Dance!!!!!!

    WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!

Ok Sorry had to share, and hay feel free you have a cruise coming up and your in the single digits, DANCE AWAY!! :)

I just returned from a cruise 3 weeks ago, and I'm jealous. Lol!! :D

Have fun, and do your dance!!!!

  7. I hope they manage to contain it, and not too many people get ill. Noro is everywhere. I have had it before at home, and it was awful. Stayed home sick for two whole days, could not eat or drink anything. I do not want to imagine how it would be having that while on a moving ship. My prayers are with those going through this. :(

  8. I cant understand why people are so obsessed with CHOGS:confused:

First come first served! Get up earlier and grab the chair of your preference or wait until one is free to use.

Can't speak for others, but I'm sure not obsessed with CHOGS. When I go to the Lido deck, and wish to sit, any chair that does not have a body in it is free to use.

  9. Unfortunately, we did not. We are not huge social animals (other than online :-) ... so did not really meet a lot of folks. That said, I did meet some folks on our trips from: Switzerland, Italy, Chicago, Tennessee, Canada (northwest and northeast). But I exchanged contact information with only one person. DS surprisingly did better, given that - I thought - he was less social than me ;-)

Ok. I am enjoying your review and pics. Thanks for sharing. :)

  10. I have just returned from the Carnival Legend sailing 04/06 to 04/13. Oh, how I was I was waking up to another day in paradise.

My family and I had a wonderful time on our cruise. The host and staff were great and made the journey with them enjoyable. I can not say the food on this trip was that great for us. I have had better food on some of the other cruise ships.

The green thunder was a bit scary at first but once you go down you want to do it again. Took about a whole 2 seconds from top to bottom. ( I know cause I took a video of me going down the slide.) the part that took the most time was the closing of the door. Now on the yellow slide you have to help push yourself through or you will get stuck just sitting there why everyone looking just laughs at you.

The ports of call were great and the best looking ocean water I have every seen. How I wish right now I had a kiss on the lips and my butt in the sand. Oh well back to the real world for me until my next cruise.:D

This is why I like to have two cruises booked. It helps with some of the cruise ending blues, knowing I have another one coming up.

Glad you had a great time. Cherish the memories of past cruises, and daydream about the next one. :D

  11. Just wondering that you all thought. If there are chair hogs, and it's clear that noone is around and they haven't been around for sometime, yet every chair is full, my plan is to simply remove whatever towell is holding the spot. Put it in a safe place (if there is other personal stuff I probably wouldn't feel comfortable removing it) and take a seat.

If I'm in a seat, I'll use it; I'd only leave my stuff in to dip in the pool to cool off for a minute, then get back in the lounger.

Does everyone not do this? Is there an unspoken rule against it? I feel like it's rude to hold something you're not using, and have no problem moving said stuff...

What do you all think? And this is probably wrong, but if someone came up and I had their chair they'd held forever without using, I'd probably just pretend it was free when I came along, and ignore them...

I will always ask an employee to remove items that have been in a chair for a long time. 3 weeks ago on the Victory, my sister and I had an employee remove items from two chairs that had been sitting for over 30 minutes. We were in those chairs at least an hour before a lady came over looking for her stuff. We told her the items were removed by staff because they were left alone for too long. She didn't look happy, but oh well.

  12. Hi everyone. I'm a 14 year old girl and I'm going with my family on another cruise this summer. There are six members of my family going on the cruise, my parents, my younger sister, and my two younger brothers.

The problem is that I'm pretty much the only one in my family who likes to eat in the main dining room. I like to order things from the menu and I like the food there, much better than the lido buffet. I'd actually eat there all three meals of the day if I could. But everyone else in my family is impatient and says it's too slow and that the lido restaurant is much better. I've tried to convince them that the MDR is better but they won't listen to me! Sometimes when we eat at the MDR members of my family just start leaving until there's sometimes only 2 people left at the table! My mom always complains that she's too tired, my dad wants to go watch tv, my sister just goes along with them.

So how can I get them to eat at the MDR? I don't want to be the only one there. My dad says for me to go there alone if I want to go there so badly but I don't want to be there alone! Help!

Sorry to hear that. And no, you are not the only one who likes to eat in the main dining room. Sometimes my family could not agree on what time to eat, some would want to go earlier than others. There were a few times my teenage daughter and niece went to the main dining room by themselves to eat instead of dining with us older folks. Lol

If you meet other teens on the ship, maybe you could dine with them and their families in the main dining room so you wouldn't be sitting alone. :)

  13. It is so neat seeing these photos. :) I was on the Victory's Mar 22 sailing. I was telling the friend who sailed with me how nice it was seeing the Liberty because I had sailed on it last year, and knew I would be missing out on Guy's Burgers. Lol.

Did you by chance meet anyone from Curacao on the ship? We shared a shuttle from our hotel to the port with a large group from that island and they were going on the Liberty.

  14. I've been on the Dream and the Magic, I'm not a fan of the huge ships. I liked when I sailed the Valor/Victory/Destiny (before she was sunshine) lol

Did you like the Elation? If you enjoyed the Valor, Victory or Destiny more than you enjoyed the Elation, I would pick the Sunshine over the Sensation.

  15. It is at this point, that I start to have my first issues with this ship. Now I want to say we had a fantastic time, as always, we were smiling all vacation, but this had to be the worst crew we've ever experienced. Now this is just my opinion and everybody has one. But my family along with several others I've talked to said the same thing.

If you love this ship, close your eyes! I couldn't believe it all week! We had one wonderful waiter, Adrianne, one nice drink server, Annie. Our steward was super nice and did a great job, but made the lamest towel animals ever:rolleyes:

The first day was the worst though.

Yay! It's sail away! We head up after unpacking, head to the aft pool bar, Which had nobody and order a round of drinks. Three virgin Miami Vice's for the babes, Twilight Zone for Mom, Hurricane Wave for Dad. The bartender actually starts complaining while he's making our drinks about the order "too much work" he says. So thinking he's kidding, I play back and laugh "you're telling me, I do it everyday!" well folks... he was not kidding... he was mad that he had a family taking up his bar space.

Oh no! I will be on the Victory next month, and I sure do not want to experience bad crew members. That is what made my cruise on the Sensation less fun. I'm also traveling with a friend who is a first time cruiser, and I want her to have a great first cruise.

  16. I can't believe how late some districts push their spring break. I'm used to spring break being in March as both it was in Tennessee while I was in high school and then here in Texas. My question is if you don't get spring break until the end of April, when do you get out of school for the year?

I won't say how many years ago it was :o, but I use to have spring break in April, and we got out of school for the year the 2nd week of June.
