  1. If you’re thinking about it most likely best to do it before. DW was on the fence and we didn’t on our last Liberty Cruise. I booked her in the kids cabin so DD(19) would be in mine and I could get it without her.

EPIC FAIL. We did the whole key card thing, DS did not get 2x point for being in a Suite she paid for and slept in and then after her first beer changed her mind. And we spent an extra $135.

But you still got the double points so whoever in your family has the most is the person who determines your status.

  2. We did that cruise in 2016. You are right-2 days isn't enough. We booked a 7 day cruise on Serenade with 3 days in Bermuda. Really looking forward to that although Anthem is a much bigger ship. We liked the Anthem and never felt crowded and our meals never took that long but it happens. And nice job on the wine. We have taken boxes (that works too) and rum runners for our in cabin drinks too. It is a convenience thing. We also get a pkg typically or spend a lot in bars too so we don't feel to badly about it. It's too bad they limit the bottle service they do through gifts and gear because we would do that more often. Nice review!

  3. They have changed the Cat on this Suite multiple times. On Serenade I had same room #1054 for 12 nites BOS/FLL Repo to myself. Tips were the Full Suite rate in Fall 2016...

I read on another site (it was posted over a year ago though) that the VT rooms would be 'jr. suite' category but not sure if that is still true. Since I changed my cancelled Navigator to this one, I was not charged any deposit so I don't know what we would have been charged but it is now non-refundable. I don't think I was given the option to price it any other way.

  4. It seems to me that if the deposit is only available as a non-refundable deposit, it must be a full suite.

The first person I talked to in redeployment said no, it was more like a Jr Suite. So I called back and asked an agent specifically about this cabin on Jewel and she said yes, it was a full suite. Only the Jr Suites do not get the suite amenities as noted on the 'Suite Enhancements' web page and Two Bedroom Suites are listed there as being suites. Perhaps I should call back again...

  5. To all the parents who have sailed Celebrity with the kids, make sure you save the kids sea pass cards. At 18 they can join the Captains Club and get credit for all the under 18 cruises.

I just talked to Celebrity. They said they will find their cruise history based on their name and DOB. No need to save the card. Plus, if you have a high status already on RC, you can give the equivalent status to them on Celebrity without the required # of points. My kids, for example, will be Elite regardless because they are Diamond on RC.
