unless linked to someone with status.
Not even then. You have to cruise once to be anything.

I guess I'm fortunate because my Grandkids have never missed getting their gift, or getting the proper pin or getting my Block when it was due or not getting the extra point per night when sailing solo [emoji15]

Updated C&A benefits have the gifts for kids starting at the Diamond level.

Well I guess we'll have to ask on our next cruise. Something we shouldn't have to do but this is RC and they can't seem to get their act together on the simplest of tasks. Like giving Diamond youth their commemorative gift. [emoji53] Or giving people their pins. Or giving people their blocks. Or their double points for solo cruising.....

My teenagers were first timers on Royal last week. They didn't get our gold status, and they didn't get any gifts either. Bummer - I wish I'd known.
First timers have no status. They don't get anything until the second cruise.

Don't get me started. Why they can't pay attention to even the easiest of details and be consistent across the fleet is pathetic. And why do kids not get comparable benefits through C&A? No internet credit. No photo. No BOGO soda. Etc. At least they weren't banished from the Diamond Lounge on LOTS like I hear they are on some ships! Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference and these kids are their future revenue.

Kids that are C&A members also get a gift. 6-8 age group gets twistable crayons, the 9-11 get a nice drawstring bag. I don't remember what my granddaughters got at the 3-5 level. Gifts are left in the cabin.

I suspect the accuracy of the rep's statement. There has been more than one report of cancelled purchases that had used OBC immediately going back to OBC.
I wouldn't believe it either. That just doesn't even make sense.

I don't think anyone pays $55 a day prior to the cruise. It always goes on sale. Use your OBC for something else.

In the winter months St Maarten is an hour ahead. The Freedom didn't change either. It was nice in respect to our excursion because we got done well before we needed to be back.

There is a small shade canopy on the boat. Our kids were 4 and 6 and did not enjoy snorkeling yet but they still had fun. There were lots of stops including an island where they swam and played on the beach and saw iguanas. Then a beach on the French side for lunch. And more. We ended at Maho to watch a 747 land at the airport. Email Sam and tell him what you want to do and ask if a private charter is available. Otherwise we were 6 and there were 4 others with us I think.

Our daughter will turn 7 next week. We've been cruising on Royal since she was a baby. However, what happened to us last summer on Celebrity we will never travel with RCI again. With that said, I had to resign to the fact that I will have to start with a new cruise line and all over on our status - we are Diamond on Royal.
At the suggestion of our travel agent, we will try MSC Meraligvia (June 2017) and MSC Seaside (Jan 2018). Kids club is a big thing for us. So here is what I found out on their website:
Kids & Juniors live it up big time
Every child is a member of MSC in DOREMILAND, with two special clubs, the Miniclub for Sailors 3-6 years old and the Juniors Club for Pirates 7-11 years old. Both clubs is staffed by professional entertainers who leave your children free to explore and socialize under their expert supervision, while also offering a wide range of stimulating and exciting activities:
• Arts & Crafts
• Group games and activities
• Sports
• Tech games, including PlayStation, Xbox and Wii
• Dance classes and performances
Opening hours*:
• 9:00am - 11:00pm while in port
• 9:00am-1:00pm, 2:30pm-5:00pm and 6:00pm-11:00pm while at sea
*Times may vary by ship or itinerary
The Seaside will have the Lego themed kids club as well. Including Lego themed day on each cruise.
And if you are Diamond on Royal you will get Black card status on MSC. I hope your TA told you that. No starting over!! You start at the top! The perks are great!

We did an excursion with Captain Sam. You can walk to his pier from the cruiseships. They do private charters as well. Awesome boat and great crew. We loved it. http://www.sxmboatcharter.com/

I doubt we will know until the ship sails. RC changes theirs all the time. They will have a slide for little kids but I would suspect he may not be big enough for the larger ones. Our 6 year old barely made it on Liberty of the Seas. It depended on who measured him.

We've been watching MSP-LAX all year. It's been over $400. Closer to $500. This past week it went down to the $263-300 range and today at 78 days out it went down to $250. We jumped on that. You have to watch and be patient.

The only place I stay in Paris: hotel Montpensier which is maybe 2 blocks from the Louvre. And it won't break the bank!! You won't be sorry. I was just there again in May. Love.

We did. Took the donkeys up the hill and asked how to catch the bus to Oia. Spent the day there and watched the sunset. It was amazing! Very easy to do.

I always bring a box. Pack your husband's shoes or your snorkel finds around it.
