  1. We too have been having problems using our IPad browsers. Our vacation planner has filled out a "ticket" and said we may get a call later this week. We are unable to book or make a mock booking the easy way, all future cruises have disappeared on Firefox, and I just tried to log in this morning and the message was Royal Caribbean us unavailable!! This truly is ridiculous.

    IT at RCCL has never been without issues. Sometimes frustrating some times totally bizarre[emoji7][emoji7]

  2. This is the first time I have had this happen. I called today to add a 3rd and 4th person to our suite and was told that the Coast Guard will not let me due to the restriction. I had never heard of this. Even though the room capacity says 4 we can't add them on now. This seems very strange. What would happen if a family of 6 with 4 kids under 18? Would they not be able to book since they would need 3 rooms and 1 room would not have and adult in it?

    Is there a chance the Coast Guard might lift the restriction later?

    To answer your specific example, if the cabins are available then you book 3 cabins for 6 people. The restrictions prevent a 3/4 addition to a reservation after the Coast Guard restricted rule goes into effect. Been burned a few times trying to add guests. Usually happens during peak travel time. If fewer people travel in larger groups they restriction does not go into effect and even close to sailing you can add 3/4 to a cabin that will hold them. You can keep calling. It I never heated of it clearing[emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]

  3. Thank you all. I will check out the East Coast Depature Boards

    I'm sure there are transfer buses, etc., from LGA to Newark. From there you can pick up a shuttle to the Hoyle you choose near the airport. We did the Hampton Inn and then an Uber ride to and from the hotel. $20 bucks as compared to a $60+ taxi ride. Great check in and departure at the port. Have a great cruise[emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]

  4. Question for anyone who has traveled out of Port Canaveral after flying into Orlando Sanford airport - is it way too risky to make it from the airplane to the RC terminal in two hours?

    We have already booked our flights for a Disney World vacation with our 2-year-old son, and had a few days before our Disney trip where we planned to just explore the Space Coast area - until I found a 3 Day Bahamas cruise leaving out the day we arrive. The problem is, our flight is scheduled to land at 1 p.m. at Orlando Sanford, and we have to be at the terminal at 3 p.m. for a 4 p.m. departure.

    Is this possible / reasonable? I have friends in the area, so we may be able ot have someone waiting with a car, so we could get off the airplane, get our luggage, and be on our way pretty quickly, barring anything unforeseen.

    I can't really move the flight since our small airport serves the small Sanford airport only two days a week - Mondays and Fridays.

    Has anyone made the trip straight from the smaller Sanford airport directly to the port, and if so, how long did it take you with "real world" factors? Thank you!

    Personally I would not chance doing your timetable. If everything went according to schedule you would still have an issue with getting out of the airport in 30 minutes leaving no wiggle room to get to the ship before 3:30. I have seen people pull up to the pier with no time left. But unless you can live with missing the ship and that part of you vacation I'd make other plans[emoji12][emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]

  5. Just wondering if anyone has stayed in this room - do you know where the bed is positioned and if it's noisy? I booked it over the phone and noticed it's by the staircase I think?

    We aren't leaving until Oct 2018 but I am already so excited :)

    There are 2 things I can say for sure, this cabin is far enough from the stairs so that won't be an issue and noises won't be an issue since it is far enough from any stairs or overhead noise. It will be quite a hike from the aft elevators and Windjammer restaurant. But you are close to forward elevator so that's a plus. Good luck and enjoy your cruise.

  6. How long to deboard the Explorer in Seattle? We're sailing in September and I am trying to make a a noon flight out of SEA. We're only Gold so have no special deboarding. Would appreciate hearing your deboarding/transport to SEA flight experience and recommendations.

    Thank you!!

    Just be a walk off and carry all your bags. You can leave the ship as soon as it docks and clears customs. Just make sure you're lined up well before the anticipated deviating time.

  7. Best thing you ever ate on the Indy? And how does the food differ when sailing out of Southampton? We'll be on her in 3 weeks from today for a B2B cruise.

    I've already booked the BOGO for the 1st two nights. I assume that means we'll get Chops and Giovanni's Table???

    Only if there are no other specialty restaurants. You can always request specific restaurants when onboard [emoji12][emoji12]

  8. We are taking our first Royal cruise 05/18 on Anthem .... I like to know things well beforehand. Do you have any tips~need to know~comments that would help us out?????

    Also very curious as to how the check-in process works.

    We have a spa junior suite on deck 7 and we signed up for Crown and Anchor .... do we get priority boarding? If so, what exactly does that mean?

    Thanks and I'll look forward to all of your helpful responses.

    Happy sailing.

    No priority booking but it's a smooth process, usually. C& A no perks for 1st cruise but keep going on RCCL and they will add up fast, double points in a jr suite and above. The spa is a very nice layout with two areas to get ready, left side with tub/ shower and other with toilet and a sink. Also Costal Kitchen if available for your spa js a nice perk.

  9. I have been reading that the Solarium could be crowed. That there are chair hogging.

    I want my wife to have a good time. one thing is to sit at a table and read. The first two days will be cold sailing out of Baltimore in January. So she would want to sit were its warm. Should I join them and save two chairs when I go down for my early morning coffee. Even through I do not like the saving of chairs. If I can't beat them, join them!

    I want her to have a good time so she will want to keep cruising. she can't stand very long and takes a long time to get around. Not sure what to do.

    As long as you occupy one chair and you are only saving one more I see no problem. If your not staying and nobody is there for an extended period then there's a problem [emoji12][emoji12]

  10. we are looking to book a Caribbean cruise it will for sure be my husband and I in the room but possibly a 3rd person. Do I book with the 3rd person in the room to lock in on the price and then just drop them later if they end up not being able to go? Is there a penalty if we end up dropping them from the room (ocean view balcony in case that matters). In the past we had booked a room for 2 and then added a 3rd later and because they hd to switch our room to one that sleeps 3 our price went up and I would like for that to not happen again. But didn't know what would happen if that 3rd person ended up backing out before final payment.

    With a cabin for 3 reservation you could drop the third person but you can be told that, even though you have 2 people in a cabin that holds three, Coast Guard regulation will not let anymore than two to that cabin because a formula says the ship has reached capacity. Strange but it has happened to me a few times. So book three and drop 1 later.

  11. Hello. We will be going on Harmony of the Seas. We have a superior ocean view stateroom on deck 8. I am planning on bringing a big suitcase with these dimensions:

    Length = 28 inches

    Width = 21 inches

    Height = 12 inches

    I am most concerned about the height. Do you think this will fit under the bed? Has anyone measured the height of the bed? I want to make sure my luggage will fit otherwise I might catch some flack for bringing such a big suitcase. :D Thanks in advance.

    It will fit. You may have to lift bed up but it will go under those beds[emoji12]

  12. There have been errors on the deck plans before so that is certainly a possibility. Worst case scenario is that the couch could be made up as a single bed (even though it doesn't pull out) and the other child in the fold up crib. In fact this would actually give you more room than having the couch pulled out into the bed.

    If the cabin is only for 2 with no couch for 3rd/4th guest regardless of age or size I don't think they would put 4 people in that cabin. It is more likely that the deck plan is incorrect.

  13. I took advantage of the kids sail free today and am pumped about my first time on Oasis class ship. We snagged to connecting cabins on deck 14 by calling royal directly. I'm concerned about if our room has a Pullman bed or sofa bed. Surely they wouldn't put us in a room that can't accommodate four people, even though one is an infant. Any idea to tell what options we have? I'd hate to board the ship and be disappointed.

    I am basically going off the deck plan chart that shows our connecting rooms but it doesn't have a "triangle" on it thst indicates a sofa bed or a Pullman. Can anyone shed some light?

    Thanks!

    You say you got 2 connecting cabins for 4 people. They each have two twin beds that combine, if you want, into a king size bed. They would not reserve a cabin for more than 2 people so if you called and reserved 1 cabin for 3/4 people it would have to have beds for each passenger. Unless one was an infant sleeping in a fold up crib.

  14. They normally require the credit card to be swiped at check-in.

    If you are paying their sea pass account with you credit card them you need to present that card at their check in or they can sign on as a cash account and you and they can go to guest services on board and put them on you card.

  15. We got off ship 6:30 - 7:00, with no problem. We had arrange for a private transfer about 100 E with Antonio Cagnoli & Sons Limo. We went to airport but there was no traffic at that time on a Sunday. http://www.civitavecchiatransferlimo.comwww.tripadvisor.it/attraction_Review-g187791-d2370877-Reviews-Antonio-Cagnoli_andSon_Day_Tours-Rome_Lazio.html this is the site I used to book transfer. I hope it works for you.

  16. look under food and beverage FAQ's...its there.

    I found it. But I also searched same statement under entire site and got the no corkage fee answer. So they are listing opposite statements. Again IT has not checked their site for conflicts.
