Once in a GREAT while they have a guitar player, or perhaps even two musicians on Lido, but not often. More often than not, it's the D.J. playing music that you'd NEVER listen to at home, and playing it so loud that you can't hear yourself think, let alone talk to someone else!
Char, I hope you and Larry are O.K.!
"SKY"
I love the music lon Lido, live or not....i look forward to "hot, hot, hot, cha-cha slide, electric slide, and the other slide!"

So if I go to my local Kroger and purchase a Carnival gift card for $500.00 I can use that as my S&S account on the ship?
Has anyone actually done this? I would hate to spend the money and not be able to achieve this.
Thanks.
Good Question. I await an answer.

Not leaving carnival for these silly little things. The overall cruise experience is what I am after (said as I look as pics and chocolates from my last cruise.)

Does anyone even use White Out anymore? :D
yes

First, we always dress for dinner in the MDR, just as we would for any nice restaurant. On "elegant/formal" nites, we dress a little better and make sure we get the formal family portrait. Some folks evidently don't even go to church anymore, as church clothes should fit the bill. Just because people try to make it their way whatever, we always make sure our children know class and classy.

I love the fantasy class ships

its what you make of it...so many posters are "entitled" and expect a cruise to be like being in their home and have everything the same....geez......I love carnival, use your mind and don't be swayed by what others say! (including me!)
-
totally love the dining room "shows"...if you don't want to see them, there are plenty of other dining venues

It is hard to beat the convenience and cost of doing a one-way rental car from MCO to the Cocoa Beach area.
we don't drive...other suggestions, please?

thank you, totally answered my question...that's why we look HERE for info and not have to do long searches!

there are lots of choices on the buffet, you don't have to eat the Indian food (which I love)!
-
only had two not-do-good items in all my cruises...once the pumpkin soup was 'way too salty and that thing they call the "chocolate melting cake" (warm cake batter is not my cuppa tea)
-
i always have two appetizers and on "that" night, order two lobster entrees...wait staff is always there with the second one as soon as i finish the first one!
-
we were taught that it rude to call anyone's food nasty...the joy of a cruise and all the choices is that you don't have to eat anything you don't want to...i like trying new-to-me foods, and what i don't like, i don't order again, but i would never call anyones food "nasty"

Carnival should go back to giving us SOLO CRUISERS a discount like they did in the previous years.
Management should own up to their booking mistakes. They make many mistakes but they never admit to them. I end up having to forgive them.
They should let us be able to do a "name change" on the Early Saver since most of us have had the experience of friends and family members changing their minds about not going on a cruise. For example: I paid for a relative to cruise with me and he can't cruise with me and I can't do a name change to invite another friend to cruise with me. I end up cruising solo.
interesting...i was told that i could not do a name change on my early saver but was able to cancel her (with a penalty) and book a new cruise partner...the penalty was $150, but she was given a $100 credit on a cruise within 2 years, so i am okay with that

this cruise i will read "Seed Folks" which is set in Cleveland and "Good Folks" set in the South
-
I guess its a southern thing, but I can't imagine why anyone wants to start their day with grits, artery-clogging biscuits with sausage gravy or the plethora of other fattening foods first thing in the morning. For us, fresh fruit, yogurt, always oatmeal for my husband and a muffin for me, plus OJ and coffee.
NOT from the south of anything other than Lake Erie and I LOVE grits, biscuits with sausage gravy, eggs, red-eye gravy and all that stuff. i also like fruit, yogure and oatmeal.
