Do you have a laptop? Bring that if so, much simpler than a travel router. A travel router can be a bit complicated because they can have multiple modes to do different things. If you get one attempt to set it at home so you know what you're doing once you're on board. Watching Youtube videos on your router model would be incredibly helpful
I have an iPad, not a laptop. Would it work the same way. I’ll check YouTube videos. Thanks!

Most of this info is clear as mud to me. I’m not sure what a travel router is and wondering if I should purchase one, are they expensive?

Yes you can book tickets, which cruise line is it?
We are on Celebrity, but I had to make a phone call to get the tickets.🥴

I had the same issue, I had to call my cruise line (NCL) and have them manually add it to my itinerary.
I called Celebrity and got the tickets purchased, just as you did. Odd that it shows up as an excursion, but I had to spend a long time on the phone to make it happen. 🥴

Shower curtain? We always book concierge cabins and have never had a shower curtain. How can that be in a suite? We are sailing in June to Alaska, looking forward to the journey on Eclipse!

Glad it worked out! You will have a blast, just accept Alaska weather as part of the adventure!
Another tour that you may find fun is the ocean raft, I've done it in Skagway and have it booked for this year in ISP. They will gear you up so no worries of being too cold.

The Ocean Raft tour sounds fun. I will add it to my to do list and decide once we get closer to our sailing date. So many things to see and do! 😃

Today I tried to buy tickets for the zip line (gondola ride to the top is included in price) direct from the zip line outfit. I was told to contact my cruise ship. I did b/c I really want to do the zip line and didn’t want to risk it being sold out on the day we arrive in port. My impression is that you can buy upon arrival, and I think the gondola tickets are more plentiful, so if weather concerns are your issue, maybe wait and see.

@suzzek, you will love it!
First few seconds is like a free fall😲, then a tree top blitz to the bottom 👍
I’m excited, a zip line is something I’ve always considered trying in other ports but made other plans. I think it’s now or never b/c my husband and I will be will be 74 and 69 the end of May, healthy and fit ages for us, but, just saying!😊😛😉

Thanks Patty!
I called the zip line folks in Alaska but they advised me to call Celebrity. There was a link on Celebrity’s website but I couldn’t complete the reservation on line. I was afraid it was sold out. I finally called Celebrity and was given a choice of quite a few times. I made reservations for 4:30. I hope I made a good choice, considering the weather and everything.

We are sailing June 4, 2023 on Celebrity. We will be in ISP 6/6 from 1:30-10:00p.m.

We would love to do the zip line in ISP but I’m not sure how to prebook this. I don’t see tickets available from our ship. Is it possible to get tickets the day we arrive?

If you want to read a good book, The Night of the Grizzlies is fascinating! A true story that happened in Glacier National Park. My sister eventually nannied for one of the survivors, who later married and had children.

Wonderful food review, complete with excellent pictures and descriptions! Thank you for taking the time and effort to bring us along on your culinary journey!
We will be on Eclipse in June to Alaska, but in CC, so we won’t have the pleasure of the Luminaries menu. We are looking forward to the cruise. Eclipse was our very first cruise, and now it will be our first cruise since Covid changed our world.
Thank you, again for posting your review.❤️

We were in the Captains Club when it was very busy and staff were running around trying to serve everyone. They had drinks set up on a table and guest were going up to it to get their drinks quicker. One gentleman had got his drinks, one in each hand, and was walking back to his seat when his pants fell down, to his ankles! He calmly placed a glass on a table next to him, gathered his pants up, picked his drink up and went on his way. He had been relaxing and undone his pants and then forgot to do them up again.
Merly, this is the best one yet, it made me laugh heartily out loud!- 1

So very sorry to read of her passing! I always enjoyed her posts, and accepted her contributions with weighted authority. May perpetual light shine upon her.

We will most likely cancel, too. Since final payment isn’t due until mid July, we have a little bit of wiggle room to see what will be offered in place of Cuba.
-
We are also booked on Journey 11/25 cruise. When I view the Azamara website it still shows it as viable. Final payment isn’t due until mid July, so I’m hoping this will work out in our favor before then.

Thanks Laurie. It was great meeting you guys and sharing Cosol's tour. I think I may have you to thank for my love of the mango daiquiris, when I believe I saw you drinking it at Sailaway and decided to try it next time I ordered a drink!
OV is definitely much less crowded for dinner, as passengers have so many other choices of places to dine. And I noticed one side of the seating area had dimmer lights in the evening (for more romantic atmosphere I presume??) We usually peruse the entire buffet before making choices (which helps also with not overeating) and then eat our cold and hot courses separately. However, it is still a trade off from being served in a sit down MDR, with attentive waiters. It just seemed to work out this time to use OV some evenings and not get all dressed up.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a wonderful review! Your pictures were very nice and your organized attention to detail was very easy for the reader to enjoy your trip through your eyes. We were on Silly a few years ago with almost the identical itinerary, aside from Dominica. Reading your review had me reliving our cruise. Kudos for such a positive spin on your wonderful cruise!

Yes Lois, thanks for posting! We are booked in November on Journey. Our favorite cruise line is Celebrity, and after reading some of the comments on the Azamara board, I am a little concerned. Please keep posting, as you can be sure I will be following closely.

Norris,
Thanks for you quick reply to my query! Now I am armed with great info and a starting place for planning an exciting itinerary.

Bimmer, I have read your excellent review and enjoyed it very much, thank you fo taking the time to write it!!
Yesterday I booked the Journey for an 11 night to Cuba in November. Now the fun begins as I start the planning. I am wondering if you wouldn’t mind listing the various tour companies all in one spot, sort of a laundry list, so that I can reference them? If you’ve already done this, thanks very much! Can you refer me to the post# if you’ve already posted the info? Thanks again!

I loved the Corning Hot Glass shows on the ships. I would take the class on Eqinox in a heartbeat, What a fantastic souvenir from your cruise!

Thanks for you input! Our land in MT boarders Canada and in the past, when I’m visiting our son, who lives a mile south of the boarder, I’ve been roaming. I just shut my phone off so I don’t incur roaming charges. Now I will check in with Verizon b/c maybe things have changed. You’ve been very helpful!
