We were on Equinox for a Med cruise a few years ago, and there was a choir that performed on the last sea day in the Atrium. One of our friends was in the choir and she told us that choirs are only formed on cruises lasting longer than 7 days. So on a Baltics cruise, you might be in luck! Enjoy your cruise and take care of the ship, as we will be boarding June 9. ;)

You are sooooo right!
I have always loved the phrase ‘posh frock’ from an episode of that wonderful old sitcom ‘The Good Life’! I now have one more posh frocks this cruise than I think we have ‘chic evenings’!
You may have one more posh frock than you’ll need on this cruise, but a girl can never have too many posh frocks!
Sounds like you were channeling Mini Pearl with tour price tag hanging on the back of your new top.
I hope your cruise is wonderful, and so glad you are off to a great start after so much uncertainty before you crossed the pond. Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

Yes, many of us are looking forward to seeing a pic of your new posh frock!! :D

Try the other coast. New England/Canada is awesome.
We loved our New England/Canada cruise in the Fall. I hope to do it again in the near future!

Definitely planning to go to Dumon, but also want to go to Chocolate Line, as mentioned in the Rick Steves article because I love savory, and want to try some of those unique flavor combinations.
-
Thank you, Cindy, for the chocolate suggestions, and the link to Rick Steves. I have found him to be very reliable.
Appologies to Tatka, apparently my spell check decided to change the name to Tatiana. But thank you for the info you’ve given!

Tatiana, thank you for the link. Brugge looks like a wonderful place to visit! Do you have a favorite chocolate shop?
-
Thanks for all the great suggestions for our upcoming trip to Brugge. We will be on Celebrity, and will look into a shared taxi from members on the roll call. Looking forward to chocolate and a canal trip, and hoping to avoid rain!

I loved the hot glass show on previous cruises. I'm very happy that something similar will begin soon. I do not think it's a waste of space...it's a great way to spend an interesting and informative afternoon on a sea day. Thank you, Celebrity!

We will be in port June 10 in Zeebrugge. I have not found too much info about things to do, highlights, etc. I have gathered from a few things I've read that it is pretty easy DIY. Any special recommendations for our day?

A few years ago, on Silhouette, one of our cruise buddies taught one of the bartenders how to make a great Ceasar. He caught on fast and we had great Ceasars the entire trip after that little lesson.

Our very first cruise was 1/2011 on Eclipse. We met a wonderful British couple on that cruise, and we became hooked on cruising. Every cruise since then, we have met at least one other couple that we bonded with and have stayed in touch with over the years. In June, we are planning a cruise to the Baltics, with a precruise in London with a couple that we met on a Med cruise. We also connected with them in FL two years ago prior to our cruises on different ships. We met another couple in 2012 that we vacationed with last year on their home turf. Cruising is so much fun, and we love the opportunity to meet new friends from all walks of life and places around the world!

Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks to OP Nj356, I made a phone call to my travel agent and saved over $800.00 pp! I kept my perks and was even offered another perk for an additional $400.00 but I declined b/c my savings outweighed the offer, i.e if I were to apply that to PP gratuities, I would come out short by over $100.00. So I can say I "earned" over $1,600.00 in bout 15 minutes on the phone. I'm a happy cruiser!!

I love Rick Steves, and rely heavily on his info when I've visited places In his various travel guides. I think he has great insight and I like his easy going style.

Thank you for your very comprehensive review! We will be doing the Baltics next June. I will be looking back on your review as I plan the cruise excursions.

Thank you for your entertaining and amazing trip report! We will be doing a similar itinerary next June, also on Silhouette. I am going to bookmark your review so that I can reference your wonderful commentary. Your photos are outstanding!! Can't wait for the next installment!!

Very nice video. Thanks for sharing with us!

I loved reading your review and seeing your pictures Well done!! What a great trip, made even better by the upgrade to the penthouse suite! I really appreciate your very honest review of the food and service. Everything isn't always perfect, but overall, sounds like it was a very memorable cruise/vacation. Thanks for sharing it with us!!

I'm disappointed that Oceanview Cafe will not be serving Sushi in the afternoon any longer. Most days, my husband and I would stop in and take a plate of Sushi and a glass of wine back to our room. It was an afternoon ritual to sit on our balcony and have a little quiet time before we started getting ready for dinner. We are really going to miss that special part of our day!

My favourite moment:
Watching lightening out in my balcony, looking at the lightening hitting the sea and feeling the whole world is in a complete silence- it's a feeling of washing your soul

I have not had this experience on a cruise, but I would LOVE it! I am mesmerized by thunder and lightening, and often have to be escorted indoors by DH during a great storm. Of course I have a really nice covered area on our patio where I watch the magic unfold...I hope to see this at sea someday.
I love the boink, the vibe all around the ship before embark, the thunderous blast of the horn as we're leaving port, Sunset Bar at Sail Away, and always, my Ceasar Salad with anchovies!

Mynki, thank you for this great link to St. Petersburg! We will be there next June on Silhouette and I'm starting to do my research. Your posts on various topics seem to resonate with me.

Just want to tell a tale on myself...We were on a cruise to Panama Canal, disembarking in FLL. I had inadvertently packed my sandals, that should have been worn with my little skort and sleeveless top. Imagine my embarrassment when I had to wear my black patent leather heels off the ship in the morning! Our travel companions couldn't resist the photo ops, and made lots of comments about my "lady of the evening" attire. I'm pretty sure I will not repeat this mistake!

What a great thread! I think one of my favorite parts of the cruise is the moment I step onto a Celebrity ship and I hear a very friendly "Welcome aboard" as they hand me a glass of champagne. There are so many other highlights--sitting on the balcony in the early morning or late at night, cruising into a new port and taking it all in as I watch the early morning activity in port, wondering what's in store for me/us that day. We've never had a bad cruise, and that's why we keep booking the next adventure.
Stockholm itinerary

Robin, You probably don't remember me, but I met you on our very first cruise--Eclipse 1/2011 Caribbean. We had lunch together in St. Maarten. I have wondered about you over the years. Glad you're still cruising! We are doing the Baltics in June, so I'd welcome any tips you have, especially for Stockholm b/c we don't have any firm plans yet.
