  1. Our experience was in May, but unless things have changed significantly since then I would not recommend Budget at Canaveral.
It took my husband 2.5 hours to return, after dropping me and the luggage off at the port. The lines for both p/u & d/o were out the door and only 2 employees working. He and another couple ended up taking a cab, because there was one shuttle running and it too was backed-up.

the port trilogy: Grills, Fish Lips, Rusty's (and there are others in the area) ask 4 folks which one is best and get 6 recommendations BUT we prefer Grills as they GRILL vs FRY in most cases.

Kelly's Pizza - more than pizza - above average family italian - greek salad is a fav' of mine ... mini is enof for two!!!!

    all within a couple of minutes . . .

Definitely agree~ We enjoyed Grills the evening before our last cruise and we ate at Kelly’s prior to flying home after the cruise. (We spent the day at Jetty Park). Both were excellent.
We also stayed at Country Inn & Suites, and had a pleasant stay. Clean, quiet and comfortable.

    Can I ask what happened?

When we disembarked we waited 90 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up to take us to the rental office.

There we waited 60 minutes to get to the counter, only to find out they didn’t have the vehicle we reserved. They had our reservation, just not a vehicle. We waited another hour for a car to be turned in, so it could be turned over for our use.
The car was not cleaned, just handed the keys to us. It was filthy inside. Fast food wrappers, beer cans (😳) and other trash inside. We had only rented for 9 hours, and we used 4 already.
Prior to returning the car @ MCO, we filled the gas tank. Luckily, I had taken a picture of the dash. When we arrived home, I noticed I was charged a penalty for returning the car on empty, plus the cost of gas for them to fill it up. I had to involve my CC company to resolve.

  4. Are the kids getting the upgraded beverage package also?

My son used to enjoy virgin daiquiris (especially banana) and pina coladas

    🍹

I would recommend tasting it first before you hand it off to your kids, unless you watched it being made. We had one or two ‘oops’ moments on NCL when we ordered from a pool server

  5. I use the ThermaCare brand when I travel, and have had no issues bringing them on the ship. They stay hot for several hours, and they adhere to skin/clothing so they stay where you put them

We were just there a couple of weeks ago and Country Inn & Suites no longer has the big shuttle service to the port.  They said they will only shuttle about 20 people now and it is on a first come first serve basis, so you can’t even sign up until you check in.

The huge gravel parking lot they used to use to park cars for all the people doing the shuttle was completely empty….it was weird.

In May, there were 2 small busses (vans??) and they ran loops starting at 10:00am. I was able to sign up about a week before.
Hopefully, they find what works for them and can continue providing the service because we would definitely stay there again.

If we are flying, I do this even though we only have carryon luggage. Sometimes (in the past) 'they' have taken our bags because the passenger compartment was too full!

This just happened this week to my son. He had to gate check his bag, and for some reason it did not make it onto the plane. Fortunately, he was traveling home.

We will be with you.  9780 is fine. There is nothing noisy below you late, or early. We prefer deck 10 so we have you below us -- hopefully not making noise.  😆

We will keep it down, unless DH starts snoring.. 😂. In that case, I’ll be sleeping on the balcony.

We stayed in standard balcony 9778, which is on the starboard side, directly above the Food Republic.   One thing that I didn’t realize until then is that the balcony was about twice as deep as a normal balcony.  I was very happy about that!

How did you like this cabin with regards to location and noise level? We are booked in 9780 for a 21 day Panama Canal cruise, and I’m a bit concerned being above all the activity on deck 8.

But one important item that I'm hoping to find is the pretzel rolls in the buffet?  I don't care if they're the little round ones or the long ones.  I will use either for sandwiches with the deli meats and cheeses at lunch and be perfectly happy.  Sometimes the simple things are awesome, too!

Both varieties of pretzel rolls were available at the buffet last month. Often, one or the other, but sometimes both.

Which come from the Haven bar, which is on that page. Are you feeling especially confrontational today?

The Bird was not being confrontational, simply pointing out that you are linking a site that does not answer the question.

The OS/DOS allows guests to pre-select bottles of their choosing to be stocked in the room prior to embarkation as one of the perks.

Has anyone been able to use either one of these on Getaway? My daughter has been using her Shark (US) as she had a lot of damage done with regular curling irons and flat irons. Her hair has been growing back and healthy now because of her use of the Flexstyle on low heat mode.

I brought my Flexstyle on the Getaway last month. It made a ‘buzzing’ noise and quit working. It will not work at home at all now.

We had a much more positive experience with Cruise Control shuttle from PC to MCO last month.   Their dispatch and driver were both texting me with precise information about when & where they would pick us up.

I had originally booked with Cruise Control. The airline changed our flight times, and Cruise Control wasn’t available at the new time. I should have taken it as a sign that Cocoa Beach Shuttle was the only company with availability on short notice..

  14. We had a similar experience last month with Cocoa Beach Shuttle. The driver arrived significantly past our confirmed pickup time and we had to wait for 2 other parties. (We were also led to believe we had booked a private shuttle) All in, it took 4 hours from baggage claim to our hotel check-in.
No response to emails requesting an explanation.

    Thanks for the replies

I read up some other ships they could be removed but it doesn't look like it on the Epic it seems. Looks like we'll get ourselves some travel bed rails and our 2 year old can sleep on the sofa bed.

    thanks again!

When our son was little, we rolled extra towels and tucked them under the fitted sheet. Worked perfectly
