This is exactly why we have "adult" vacations and "family" vacations. If I want to go and relax and not worry about what my child is doing we go solo. But still have family vacations where we watch our daughter and make sure she doesn't run wild. It's sheer laziness....and selfishness. Bottom line is that if you are not willing to keep an eye on your children, you have no business going on vacation with them. PERIOD.

I used VOOM for the first time on the Oasis last month and I must say it was the best internet at sea EVER. You can even call home through google for free. FANTASTIC! I had to be in touch with my business partner and there was an issue where I was on the phone with her for 2 hrs. Huge money saver!

On the Oasis, we decided to dine in Chops one night. Our waiter from the MDR arrived shortly after we sat down and our wine was served with huge cheese tray to go with our wine. We were so shocked. Right in the height of the late dining and he went up 4 floors from the dining room in the aft to Chops at the front in Central Park.

Im in Labadee right now. We got a hilltop for 225 on barefoot. However the cabana prices for this cruise arent as high as the cruises sailing in january

I will be returning to the Oasis next Dec. My brother won a free cruise for 2!!! He won it in the casino during the royal slot tournament...I am shocked we never win anything! lol We are excited when we go back he will be playing for 100,000 dollars!

We are boarding next Saturday for the 2015 Poker Tourney! Six of our group of 8 will be playing. One won the cruise/buy-in on our Med. Cruise last fall and the others just bought in yesterday. LOL - oh, I had enough notice....but as it creeped up I knew it was going to be an issue. I'm booked on the Oasis Dec. 5th. Was booked before I had my arm twisted, ever so slightly, I might add, by Robyn. It didn't take much convincing on her part lol. It was such a good deal I thought "why not?" and had such a good time with you guys last time. But as it got closer, I realized it was not practical at all. I've been working on my website all weekend getting ready for Black Friday and then the roll over into our holiday sale. THAT and my mom is away so I'm on Grandma duty. Add in the fact that Andy probably would have killed me. I never did fess up to him that I had it booked. Bad girl!

But right now I have NOTHING booked for next fall ;)

A bar shot is $8-$9 depending on the booze. The mixer is free. Basically they have you coming and going. [emoji12]

On the Oasis and Allure, find the closest connecting cabin. Now picture yourself standing right in front of the pair of connectors. The cabin on the RIGHT has the bed by the Balcony (think RIGHT is right!). Every other cabin from there will be the bed on by the balcony.

With the bed by the balcony, it gives the cabin a more open feeling when entering. That, and the fact that there is more space by the closet. HOWEVER, I like having the couch by the balcony....almost like an extension of the living room. To each their own.

No problem! I love watching sailaways! especially if I know peeps on board. Bittersweet for me thought...I was supposed to cruising with them :(

Do they no longer have a separate MTD on Oasis? When booking reservations for dinner it seems there is only one choice. I'm confused

They sure do! RCI releases part of the dining room to be prebooked via reservations on your cruise planner. If all the times are gone that you want you can either make the reservations once on board or just show up to the dining room when you want to dine.

NP! Remember, if you don't get what you want, be sure to contact the concierge....that's when your status may come in handy! Have a great cruise!

When do you sail? There is indeed traditional early and late, but also My Time dining. A while back they were going to implement Dynamic Dining (everyone doing MTD) but they nixed that due to poor reviews.

Call RCI or your TA and see if there is any space in the early or late and have it switched. If they are booked solid, get yourself waitlisted and contact the concierge. Also, if you stick with MTD and the times you want are all booked, not to worry. They only release 50% to be prebooked. You can book the times you want when you board OR just show up when you want to dine.
