Clean1owner, Thank you for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it!! I didn’t study the numbers/size in comparison of Liberty & Adventure but I think I remember that the ship (Adventure) is smaller, but the number of passengers isn’t hugely reduced, so I guess that means more crowding & fewer public spaces??? Hopefully I’m wrong about that.

Adventure holds about 1000 fewer passengers than Liberty.

About the only time I noticed major crowding was when a show let out and everyone was coming out at the same time.

Completed online check in for cruise on Symphony in two weeks.  Question is what if I don’t add in my own photos online before getting to terminal?

Add about 30 seconds per person for them to take your picture when checking in.

  3. We brought this on board, and got it through security with no problem.

HOWEVER, due to the orientation of the plug, it wouldn't work because the outlet in our cabin was too close to the top of the counter. If the ground post (the round one) was on the other side of the hot prongs (the flat ones), it would have worked.

Luckily, we had a backup, which also got through security, and worked very well for us.

  4. Just got off Adventure Saturday.

The only place movies were shown was on the pool screen.

I look at Adventure as a smaller version of Liberty ( I have sailed both). They are laid out very similar.

There is a room marked Card Room on level 5 forward, just outside the Imperial Lounge. I never looked in it, so I don't know how it is set up.

I noticed people playing cards on level 11, at tables in the protected area around the pool. They seemed to be having no problems with wind.

There are also small sitting areas on levels 6, 7, and 8, overlooking the Promenade that may facilitate playing cards. For what it's worth, in the evening, there were meetings in the level 7 mid-ship library, so I don't see where a card game would be any worse.

When you get down to it, you could even play in the Windjammer when it's open.

I don't know what you do or don't like for entertainment, but for us, the "Invitation To Dance" show was a bomb.

The "Welcome Aboard" show was pretty good. The Comedian from that show did a late night show that was very funny.

The Magician show was also very good.

Love And Marriage and The Quest are always fun.

The Ice skating show was pretty good, especially considering the small arena they have to work with.

We ate dinner exclusively in the MDR, and the food and service was excellent (I now have 7 extra pounds as proof!).

As far as finding a mattress topper, my only suggestion would be to Google stores you are looking for in Ft Lauderdale, Dania, and Hollywood. The trip from the airport to Port Everglades is less than 10 minutes, depending on traffic, so you might be able to find a store close enough to stop at.

    I hope this helps.

  5. You don't really need to print the Guest Ticket Booklet. It just goes through all the legal mumbo jumbo and terms and conditions. There should be a separate link to print your Set Sail Pass. It is a one page document that is needed to board.

We’ve always booked late dining, and are booked that way for our next cruise as well. Thinking seriously about doing the BOGO specialty for the first 2 nights and, since we’re in a JS, plan on doing Coastal Kitchen a couple nights as well.

We don’t want to be “those people” who never show up in the MDR, so wondering if we should see about switching to MTD. If we did stay with late dining, we would request a 2-top so we wouldn’t leave table mates wondering if we were going to show or not, but just wondering if we screw over the waiters by not showing up half of the nights. Does it affect their tip if diners don’t show up, or are they relieved that they still get the same gratuity without having to do any work other than setting the table? Or does it really not matter either way?

Doing MTD for the first time ever next week. Have reservations for 5 of the 6 nights. Will be interesting to see how it goes.
