  1. I love the people of Bermuda. Everyone I've come across is lovely and helpful especially when we got lost! The beaches and water are amazing too. I like that people don't bother you to buy their crap like they do other places. I've never been solicited in Bermuda.

  2. I always add $1 per drink to a UBP drink, and waiters offered a thank you, and comments such as, "that's all I get from this order"...."glad someone gives at least a dollar"...."thank you so much, ma'am...that dollar appreciated because it is all I'm given from this order" etc. I asked the pit boss to clarify the policy (I was in the casino, but had the UBP for my drinks and used it because I thought the server would get a better gratuity), and he agreed (after much hemming and hawing) that they did not get the per drink gratuity. At the end of the month, NCL does something with the money in terms of extra bonuses, crew parties, etc. But it seemed that most people - guests and employees - thought it went to paying salaries. No one has seen an increase in compensation since the 18% has been added to drink and dinner packages.

I am one to over tip bar staff..but that is just awkward. I guess it's just the way I was raised but I'm not one to discuss what other people make..its not anyone's business except that persons. I would never discuss that with a customer in my job nor would I want someone to discuss that with me it's none of my business. I have discussed with a bartender how much things are in their home country but never did I ask how much they are getting from my transaction.

  3. NCL is changing their main dining room menus, supposedly for the better.

    Norwegian Cruise Line to announce

"NEW Complimentary Dining Menus Fleet wide by July 1st, 2015

The goal of this investment is to be able offer the BEST complimentary and specialty dining choices in the mass market cruise market. By July 1st, 2015, every single complimentary dining venue on all Norwegian vessels will boast new and improved dining menus and choice."

Well I hope they change some of the specialty menus. Le bistro needs an update I my opinion. I feel like it's the same menu since I've started cruising 5 years ago. It used to be my favorite but I'm over it now. I will not be going there until they change the menu. They really should be able to change the menus around at least once a year for repeat customers...it shouldn't be such a big to-do. That's just my opinion.

Honestly, All I really want is for them to bring back the brownie sundae [emoji24].

  4. They don't care if you have coconut oil they only care if you have alcohol or irons or... Other strange things that are not allowed. Coconut oil is fine on s cruise ship. No need to repackage. Unless it's a huge jar that looks like a bottle of alcohol on an X-ray machine you should be fine.

  5. that's how I read it but you will pay the gratuity.

That's not so bad considering the last promotions you had to be booked in a ocean view or higher to qualify for anything other than a small OBC....decisions decisions!! :)

  6. How often do you goto a parking lot and see carts all over the place some even right next to a cart return?? Just because it's there doesn't mean people will use it. People can be pretty lazy.... Sticking a plate by the door or walking 10 extra feet? Lots of people would pick the door :).

  7. So what exactly do people do with the room service plates? You order a few things and they bring everything on its own separate plate. Ordered room service once and I felt bad for the guy he was carrying like 10 plates for just our room!! Crazy. And there is no where in a tiny cabin to keep them.
