If this is for 2016, the prices won't change until MAY 31ST surely?
Not according to our confidential information

Hi fellow cruisers
Does anyone have any experience of how fast the prices of cruises rise (or indeed possibly fall) once they have gone on sale. .
I'm thinking of holding out for extra OBC if I book on board.
I know its a risk to wait as I may not get exactly what I want interms of cabins etc..but will C deck on azura sell out that quickly? or the price shoot up in just two weeks.
All info gratefully received
You've got it in one - I reckon they will go up in mid-April and then certainly on 31st May (for P & O)

Currently off Lands End doing 20 knots

Must be the cold that's done it

I think you will find that there are quite a few of your countrymen aboard

Whilst it is very sad that the lady died, I do wonder whether it is the 'compensation culture' that is kicking in here, someone got the pictures to the 'Daily Wail' very quickly

It's minus 10.8 just now and looks as though they have had another fall of snow in Alta

Long Johns are helpful too.
We did the cruise in March 2014 and had a fantastic time.
I posted one or two photo's in the Gallery Section of the Bolsover Cruise Club forum site under "june63"

If my memory serves me right there was a shuttle bus into the town in Tromso because we berthed a long way from the town.
Sorry my mistake - you are quite correct - underground road from port into town - unbelieveable
-
We only did the tour from Alta - In Search of the Northern Lights - Bergen, Tromso and Stavanger are all walkable into the towns and in Alta there was a shuttle during the day.

Couldn't agree more - P & O have it all sewn up but although expensive well worth the money. Not much difference between their price and a private excursion.
You must go to the pre excursion talks on board - very informative

Like you Pat I worked in the NHS for 28 years (Finance) and never was aware of any discounts until one year they tied up with Barrhead Travel who were promoting discounts for all NHS employees.
Too late now I've been retired for 12 years

Is there anyone out there who has missed introducing themselves on the 'Roll Call' section of cruise critic for the cruise departing Southampton 4th April for 32 nights?
A 'Meet & Greet' meeting on the first sea day has been arranged and any one interested in meeting like minded cruisers should make themselves known on the 'Roll Call' section

Fantastic photo's
If you wait until you are on Board you will risk the possibility of the tours being sold out.
We did the cruise last March and had a superb cruise - even if we hadn't seen the lights the scenery was well worth the trip

You could also wear National Dress - ie a kilt and jacket if a Scot.
There are some very cheap DJ's available in the sales just now Under £50 but then a shirt & tie are required.
I used to wear a cumberband but then it felt like wear a blanket round your middle

Dont know about the Azura but certainly on most other P & O ships - why not ask P & O - if you can contact them, that is

Warwick services seems to be a set stop for lunch

Recommend HOHO bus which leaves from the dock gates.
If I remember rightly we booked the bus on board ship (Oriana) earlier this year and it was charged to our on board account.
-
The distance you are travelling, they must stop for at least one longer break by law
** Alert! ** Oriana limps in to Port Miami with reported Engine Room fire!
in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Posted
We were on the Oriana and to be quite honest the fire was out before it started.
The alarm went and within 30 seconds crew were stood down. The problems were with the US Coast Guard who initially instructed us to drop anchor and wait until they came out to check us over. Then they changed their mind and instructed us to report back to port. We then had to wait for the Pilot to return to the ship. We were given the all clear around 2-30 am but couldn't sail because of the incoming traffic - hence the delay until after 8-00 am. As a result we had to miss Key West but received £100 each OBC + a bottle on wine.
These things happen, it was no big deal
