We found the Adonia a little unstable in the B o B a couple of years ago

NSWP
Why don't you ask P & O direct then there will be no confusion. When we went we were certainly next to the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier which was load with various aircraft including Concorde.

The snow seems to have had quite a shift overnight as the airport runway is totally clear this morning.
Alta is the only port that the ships captain needs permission from air traffic control to dock because of the close proximity of the port to the airport.

I see that both P & O and Cunard have cancelled ALL CRUISES TO THE BLACK SEA for the 2015 season. See under 'news' on this site

It looks beautiful, but just found this - under three and a half hours daylight :eek: -not for me
When we were there in March the day was nearly 12hours long - I would agree 3 and a half is a bit off putting but we were OK

Another good site to look at for the northern lights is:
glod-alta.no
This company were the guides for us from P & O in March this year

Just to be a little scare monger - When do you think they will start to cancel St Petersburg - after all that's Russia and there is talk of more sanctions - piece of nonesense really

May be on Crows Nest on Line site or Bolsover Cruise Club site!

We were due to go to Odessa and Yalta this year and they substituted Bourgus and Rhodes - still one port in Black Sea so no question of cancellation or breach of trades descriptions. Agree Istanbul is fantastic.

Filled up today and it was 119.9 for unleaded

What price do you pay at the pump.
In Edinburgh just now it is £1.209 per litre -
Interesting that she has only posted the one post isn't it

I don't think I would want to go into a danger zone anyway.
No cruise company is going to put it's ships or passengers at risk. My own view is that they shouldn't have been advertising the cruises just now and should have waited to see how things settle down.
Are the Egyptian cruises still going?
Are they still visiting Israel?

We have always said it is the only ship where we could sit on the loo, brush our teeth at the wash hand basin and wash our feet in the shower all at the same time - very small bathroom!! It is also said you could get amorous with the shower curtain and there was no chance of falling down in the shower - so small.
All said with tongue in cheek of course.

It must be heavy snow in Alta just now - it is as black as night

but quite interesting to see - at least the runway is clear

We found the buffet area was used for the syndicate quiz quite often and that it was cold up there in the evening. Just another problem when you have restricted space for entertainment.

Remember that you will have lots of layers on so if you think you will need the loo you will have to anticipate it way in advance.
We were on the same cruise as Sharon but a later trip out at night - left at 22-00 hrs back at 02-30 and minus 26 when we got off the coach. As Sharon has said it didn't feel that cold and the need to 'go' just didn't seem to materialise.

Main difference is size
Other ships you mention it is 3.5 times round the deck for a mile - Adonia is 16
Restricted entertainment programme and very crowded if not able to get out on deck. we were in C066 which was quite comfortable but the galley doors banged every morning at about 6-30 / 7-00 am.
A little more expensive than other ships
Not for us again but it takes all kinds and others love her
Just try it and see
