  1. I appreciate the responses. I was leaning towards St.  Maartens. I know it’s a shame to miss any of them but we love the ships so much that we enjoy an extra day on them especially when it may not be quite as crowded.

  2. We will be on the 7night Southern Caribbean Wonder Cruise out of San Juan next month with a schedule of Sea Day, Aruba, Bonaire, Sea Day, Antigua, St. Marten and back to San Juan. We enjoy beach’s and/or relaxing at day resorts and walking around the port areas.

We have not been to any of the above ports before and I am just curious for others who have been to the above ports if there would be a recommended one to skip and to stay on and enjoy the ship. I appreciate any recommendations that anyone offers. Thanks!

  3. i have done it this way twice now and it works out great. The one thing I might add is if the car agency shuttle has a bit of a wait Uber has a decent showing in the area and it went really quickly. So that is another option instead of the rental shuttle or a standard taxi.

  4. We find deck 8 to be perfect. We stayed in the same room both times on that floor and it works out great. Couple of floors up to the pool deck and sandwiched between 2 other floors of rooms and it's always been nice and quite to me. Enjoy the room!

  5. We did a 30 minute session for my 9 yo son and 6yo daughter who both play a bunch of spots and it was fun but glad I didn't book it for an hour personally. It started to get a little redundant and the sensors on the games weren't that great at registering.

  6. This sounds like the original show....the one that some parents complained was "too violent" and "too late" for their darlings. I can see the time concern' date=' but fireworks need to be after dark. i never found it violent.[/quote']

I agree it certainly wasn't violent. How anyone could see it as anything besides good clean fun is beyond me, but I guess it's the times we now live in

  7. we were on a 7 night on the Fantasy in April 2015 with what must have been the old pirate show with Mickey and it was a lot of fun that we all liked. We then went on a 5nt Magic and it was basically just a pirate themed dance party and while the kids still enjoyed it it wasn't nearly as good IMHO. We were back on the Fantasy this January and I was slightly disappointed to see that the Fantasy show had changed too. I'm glad we got to see the original show and after seeing the new one a couple of times I wouldn't be disappointed to skip it the next time.

  8. The first cruise(2015) My wife was given my KTTW card and they just took my picture in the tunnel when they scanned our cards for the first time. This past cruise a couple of weeks ago my wife and kids did the whole check in and got their cards and I had to go up and get my own which took all of 2 minutes. It really is a very convenient way of doing it. It took about 45 minutes from when I dropped them off until I got back and checked in and we were all back together. And they were also able to go through the kids club registration line and get that out of the way.

  9. We leave today on the Fantasy and last cruise I dropped of my family and luggage and they just took my picture as we were getting on the ship they let my wife do the rest of the check in while I was dropping off the rental car...do they still allow this? Thanks.

  10. Ugh! I knew some didn't have them but I thought some did. Totally a deal breaker for us. We would have been cruising with out kids. Our youngest is 17.

I also always appreciate ExTechies answers and always find them extremely helpful. As quoted you said it was a "deal breaker" for you so I don't know why you are upset that you were told there are no casinos on board so DCL unfortunately isn't the line for you, since you were the one who said a casino is a deal breaker.

I also am a huge gambler and just about all of my other vacations are near some sort of casino so I can get my gaming fill in on top of numerous weekend trips to AC and Vegas, however if you at all like Disney you won't miss the on-board casino...at least I don't...I'd say give it a shot one time.

  11. I would agree with the others regarding dining rotations not mattering. Our first Fantasy cruise I made sure to request the rotation that would put us in Royal Court for both formal and semi formal night because it is the "fanciest". However while it is a nice restaurant and the mosaics are really nice it was probably our least favorite decor wise and for this cruise we are just going with whatever they give us.

  12. Basically any cabin on deck 7,8, or 9 are good options. Those floors are sandwiched between other floors with rooms on them to help possibly be more quiet, assuming the rooms above and below you aren't incredibly loud people. As Moki'smommy said cat 5 rooms are most similar to other lines normal balcony cabins and the cat 4 rooms are mostly the same layout just more space in the length of the cabin.

  13. Thanks Moki. I do know we can purchase a case on board and I am more than fine with the ships water and have no need to bring water on myself. however my parents are coming with us this time  and my father has been hounding me to check for him so I appreciate the information you provide as always.

  14. Depends on who you get but as long as they are 12 oz bottles I suspect you would be ok. The issue with unsealed bottles is they could be used to transport other alcohol (which is part of the reason some line don't allow even bottled water now). So if whoever checks notices, they could be pulled.

Does Disney allow a case of water to be brought on? if so what is the best way to bring it on? Thanks
