  1. Isn't that just the most important thing!

Enjoy your cruise! No one-upmanship, keeping up with the Jones's or feeling superior?

Just be happy your on a cruise you can comfortably afford, you are happy with your accommodation and the ship and itinerary?

Couldn't agree more. I've only cruised NCL so far but have done a suite once and insides 2 others. It's all amazing either way. I think you get to enjoy the ship in different ways but neither way is better. Just being on the ship is amazing and I'd take it anyway I can.

  2. I've just read a thread over there where he has told the OP that there is vibration on the lower decks and deck 2 is basically a claustrophobic dark enclosed place and in Alaska if you book a lower deck, you will miss all of the sights unless you book a verandah Stateroom!

Oh and apparently due to the light night sky, you can't sleep at night as curtains are reserved for verandah staterooms only!

Doesn't he understand that not everyone can afford the Royal Suites or Concierge level Staterooms and they still have a great time?

Not to mention the accessibility to get to Deck 4 as a great viewing spot?!?

The big one I saw was he created a flier that many thought was from Disney itself stating the date of release was a few weeks ago. When it came and went he went back and edited all his posts to erase his tracks and was called out on it.

  3. Does anyone happen to know how wheelchair friendly El Yunque is? My MIL will be with us and have her wheelchair and scooter with her would she be able to get around any of the El Yunque paths? What other options might others suggest besides a beach in San Juan? Thanks for any advice.

  4. Congrats!

Welcome to CC. You'll find out a lot of helpful info here. Check out the various forums for additional info.

Seconded. This is truly a great site. There is so much to read about to help the 338 days go by and build up a lot of excitement for your family. I highly recommend reading the thread in the link below started by LittleMissMagic of her photo review of the ship. It is a great review with amazing photos.

  5. We just received notification of pirate night now going to be on night 5 of our cruise. It seems they had always scheduled pirate night for the dining room you would be in 3 times, and I was also reading a trip report on another site of a recent Eastern Caribbean Fantasy cruise and they said their rotation was ERAEERA, does anyone else have information of a possible change in the rotation schedules?

  6. I am wanting to treat my wife to a robe for the cruise and was wondering how are the robes that can be purchased through the gifts and amenities "A Touch of Romance Package". Are these the same ones that can be bought on-board, or are those robes better or worse?

Also through the Disney store I see this robe: http://www.disneystore.com/bath-accessories-bed-bath-home-decor-disney-cruise-line-robe-for-adults/mp/1319756/1000325/

That is $120 by itself, so I am assuming that this is different than the one through the package. I was hoping someone may have any information regarding any of these options and how they liked them. Thank you very much.

  7. The night before the cruise we will be staying at the residence inn near the port with my family of 4 and my in-laws. Also if it helps to know my mother in-law is fairly disabled, she can sort of shuffle around the house and kind of do stairs with help, but mostly travels in a wheelchair. My FIL will have his car there and will be keeping it at the hotel as part of their cruise and stay package. We also have 4 shuttle passes from the hotel to get to the port, as well as I will have a car rental from Alamo.

The morning of the cruise I was thinking we will run 4 or 5 people to the port in the car and then take the hotel shuttle back to the port for myself and catch up to them. If I do it this way I will turn the car back into Alamo the night before. I was wondering how others might play this scenario out? Should I keep the car and use the Alamo shuttle? Should we all just take hotel and car rental shuttle? Thanks for any advice you can give. I'm just trying to finalize this last logistical piece for our trip.

  8. I am looking at modifying a cruise next February and was wondering what others here would book. It will be for myself, DW, DS (8), DD (5). The choice is between 7 night western Caribbean in an SC on the Jade, or 7 night eastern 2 connecting balconies on the Escape or 2 connecting balconies Western Caribbean on Getaway.

We have done the western Caribbean before in an SC on the Dawn and LOVED the room. We will be doing an Eastern leg on Disney Fantasy in a balcony room in April so both will have been done before. I am torn because I love the SC room but would also like to try one of the new ships but I do have a slight hesitation because of the size of them. I know most of the shows are booked in advance so I can do some of what I want there, but are the Water slides and aqua park always incredibly busy that my young kids won't get to use them much anyway? How about the casino, with so many people is it really hard to find a spot at table games on the new ships? Thanks for any help and advise I helping me decide.

  9. I just booked a 7 night Southern Caribbean on the Jewel of the Seas for next February for myself 33, DW 33, DS 8 and DD 5 at time of sailing. I currently have 2 connecting OV rooms 3060 & 3062 and was wondering for those that have been on this ship how is this location? Would you stick with the 2 rooms or go with 1 balcony? Thanks for any help you all may have.

  10. Yes taxi fare would be $40 RT for 2 ppl. You'll find several threads on the $2 bus but unless you have time to waste and don't mind some walking most folks recommend sticking with the taxi. Taxis are abundant and the primary mode of transport.

    Rental car is another option

Is parking easily accessible at Sapphire? I have a rental reservation and am still debating if it's worth saving $50 to use the rental or just stick to the taxi if others have found using a rental a hassle?
