  1. If you like espresso type drinks it might be worth you looking at the Zero non alcoholic package. This includes all non alcoholic speciality teas, coffees and chocolate .Plus water, juices etc.
  2. Also included in the Zero non alcoholic package. Elite can also get free lattes etc at the Elite breakfast ( Tuscan Grill 08.00 to 10.00 every day except disembarkation day).
  3. S class has the same machines in the Spa, Hideaway and Buffet i e. the one shown on post 15.
  4. The coffee everywhere on the ship (including Al Bacio) is Lavazza. As always the self service coffee like in the Hideaway varies depending on how long it's "stood in the tin".
  5. The advice from Senior Officers, especially the Hotel Director, is to always raise issues whilst onboard that way they have the opportunity to help or at least to explain why they can't.
  6. Did you raise any of your concerns with the Maitre De at the time? Also with desserts there is no need to stick with just ice cream as the Maitre De will be happy to organise something else . They will also show you the next days menu in advance which helps anyone with special dietary requirements. Glad you liked the Black Pudding, it's one of our favourites.
  7. As you booked using a "glitch" it's hardly relevant. For the rest of us 3 packages all of which include speciality teas/coffees and chocolate (hot or iced). The Zero proof package are all without alcohol. Classic without and with alcohol up to the price limit of the package. Premium without and with alcohol upto the limit of the package.
  8. Yes you are picking random numbers being careful not to have any "doubles" which increases the odds. You are placing the chips on the diagonal to cover the 4 numbers. If you download a sheet showing the number layout the following will give you an idea of one way of using your 5 chips. Chip 1 between 1 and 5 Chip 2 between 9 and 11 Chip 3 between 14 and 18 Chip 4 between 19 and 23 Chip 5 between 27 and 29. This is not a reccomendation just an illustration. You can change the spread each time or stick to one set of numbers the boss (Anita) usually sticks to one system for a one lot of 💲50. When you win the tradition is to leave the winning chip in place and just use 4 to make up the 5. Yes everytime you win you get 💲8. Hope this helps, good luck Geoff
  9. Each evening you will "check in" with the Host/Hostess by giving your cabin number. At that point you simply say "table for 2 please" or "sharing please table of 6 preferred" or any other request that suits you. All very straight forward.
  10. Basically, 3 packages all of which include speciality coffees, teas and chocolate (hot or iced). The 2 packages that include alcohol include coffees with alcohol up to the price limit of your package.
  11. As Aqua includes the Classic Drinks package the Elite drinks are irrelevant.
  12. For Elite only at the Elite breakfast. For Elite+ at the breakfast and unlimited at Al Bacio all day, every day.
  13. Only of value if you book at Sail Only Rates.
  14. Will only work if your wife has the Premium WiFi, the basic just handles emails not streaming.
  15. Correct. The "quiet" part was because it's easier when the staff aren't rushed off their feet. Perhaps it's just my "English approach" which I agree is different to a lot of our American friends and amuses our Texan grandson.
  16. Exactly but as we don't know if it exists or not my suggestion is a simple/easy way to find out with no embarrassment on either side.
  17. As I said it depends on the tides. My pics were taken in March 2019, from the Eclipse. We had an overnight onboard pre cruise. X arranged for additional local staff to be on hand until midnight to assist passengers. Unfortunately a lot of passengers (including dozens on Celebrity excursions to Tango shows) returned after midnight to find no assistance was available. It was cold, wet, with no cover and it took X nearly an hour to sort everything out and get us aboard. The ramp was so steep that it took 3 members of staff to get just one wheelchair up the slope. A kind member of the ships theatre company lent my wife his jacket as some protection from the rain. Not the perfect ending to the thoughly enjoyable evening we had spent with 15 other members from CC at a Tango show celebrating our Golden Wedding.
  18. On a B2B buying a card towards the end of the first leg meant you could get drinks on the first 2 days of the second leg before new cards went on sale. Cards are not dated and rolled from cruise to cruise. Also not passenger specific so you can share cards. Good for coffees, teas and chocolate - hot or cold.
  19. For me personally it's irrelevant as we are Elite+. For my brother and his wife in 2019 even though it wasn't advertised. The introduction of compolsary AI made the card irrelevant again. However now that Sail Only rates are available it becomes another revenue source for X. Hence my suggestion to wait until Al Bacio isn't busy and then to quietly "ask for help" not to go in demanding and see what happens. It's surprising what this approach achieves.
  20. Although X doesn't promote it, it's usually available from day 2 (i.e. once they have decided that they can't sell any more drink packages/upgrades) in the Al Bacio. Just ask one of the servers quietly (early morning or at closing time when the Al Bacio is empty is a great time) and explain that you won't be buying a drinks package and is there anything they can do to help. The person selling you the card gets the whole gratuity that's included in the price so it's worth their while as well as yours. Good luck.
  21. I hope it's low tide as otherwise the only way to board is shown below. For anyone with walking difficulties it's a night mare, and for wheelchair users even worse. Have a wonderful trip.
  22. Great experience. Allow time to do both sides as they are totally different. Brazil side for the panoramic views, Argentina for the close ups - you stand above the falls. We stayed on the Argentine side and had a TBL Guide for 3 days ( originally it was 2). The Guide got us straight past all the lines at the borders (2 checks each way.) Argentina side we didn't even get out of the van, at Brazil we walked past the lines. Day 1 we did Brazil then back for overnight. Day 2 Argentina side with the tour ending back at the airport. Knowing your passion for walking 2 days on the A side would probably be better for you. B side you just need 1 day as there is only 1 route to walk.
  23. We save the envelopes we get with the invites from the art Auctions etc. If that's not enough Guest Relations has envelopes every day and is empty from around 10pm.
  24. Thanks. As always choice is a good thing, no right or wrong.
