I can assure you that I purchased it 2 months before I boarded.

Not being a fan of the MDR, my first choice is to book AQ to take advantage of Blu. However, I would forgo booking AQ and book a less expensive balcony cabin, if I knew for sure this package would be available when I boarded. My plan would be to try to board early and to book it as soon as I got on board, but things happen and there's no guaranty as to when we'll be able to board.

Hi we have our first cruise coming up in September. Not sure what to expect , seen the drinks packages on line are they per day or are they per evening? Also dress code do you wear bikini or a full costume? As I read alot of passengers are older than my 45 years. Many thanks

Hi there, we are welsh as well, and very recently returned from a Western Med cruise aboard the Equinox. What a fabulous ship, German engineering at its best, so smooth it's almost unnatural! The ship is also still relatively new as not to have constant maintenance crews painting everything that doesn't move. Your other questions have been answered already but I would say you will be pleasantly surprised, Celebrity has got it right with this ship. Have a great cruise.

come with the "Ultimate Package".

I had the Ultimate package aboard the Equinox last week it made the cruise the best ever. I am cruising again on the Reflection in September and this package is a definite for us again.

On a typical 12 night cruise the Tuscan and Murano will only be open for one lunch time occasion each. The Murano has also one High Tea event 1200-1430 normally on the final seaday.

The package allows one lunch in Tuscan Grill, one lunch in Murano and one high tea again in Murano. Unlimited access to Bistro on 5 for breakfast, lunch or dinner - not my choice and usually costs 5$ /pp per ocassion in this Bistro. but free to you on the package.

No access to Blu but that is down market in comparison anyway.

So let me get this straight. You pay a couple of hundred dollars per day for the cruise, which is supposed to include all meals, then you pay another $58 per day for specialty dining. What happened to 'all-inclusive' (excluding booze, of course). I get the feeling that Celebrity is well into nickle-and-diming us to death.

The headline prices of cruising has not increased in-line with inflation for many years, in an attempt to maintain their client base. What do you think has suffered, yes the number of wait staff and food quality. The food in the MDR is significantly lower this year than last I can assure you. This package is definitely worth the money, choose a slightly lower grade of cabin if you need. On balance the better the food the more enjoy the whole cruising experience.

Like I said in the review, I had no trouble getting the times I wanted. However, I did go straight to Murano as soon as I got on the ship. It still is a crap shoot with times, restaurants and days that you want. We had a full ship and the times I requested 6:00 or 6:30 didn't seem to be very popular with the rest of my shipmates :eek: so I got what I wanted. Now an 8pm slot might be an issue. My advice is if you really want that time slot and you can do it, just have your TA or go to the Celebrity website and book Murano for 8pm for the whole week (if it is available). Or call Celebrity, they have folks that just handle Specialty Dinning. Then when you get on the ship go to Murano and upgrade to the Ultimate package and they will credit your onboard account the amoumt you paid for the reservations you made prior to boarding. And you get to keep your times from those reservations. Hope that helped..:)

If I made reservations for the whole cruise on-line, I would be concerned that if the Package was unavailable and I decided to cancel those reservations, where would the money go. It is totally unacceptable to be returned to Seapass Account as if not spent would be lost. This must be regarded as a Sharp Practice by Celebrity.
