Sorry, we like the front ocean view rooms on deck 7, they went fast, lol.  From the time I started looking from one day to the next it went from 6 to now 1 cabin.  Our last Bermuda cruise did sell out fast, we had booked one of the floor to ceiling window cabins at the front on deck 9, it was a great room.  We also do balcony rooms, especially the L-shaped ones on deck 6 at the aft, but  they were gone too.   We only got to stay 1 1/2 days in Bermuda but knew we had to go back.  Just so happy its only a 3 1/2 hour drive to port!

Those front cabins are very desirable, and go quickly. We snagged one on the Sunrise last fall 9109 , I think. We sailed from Charleston to Bahamas. We were supposed to go to Bermuda, but the storm rerouted us. Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks to OP for alerting me to this information!  Looking forward to going out of this port since it is within driving distance from home as well as we love the Dream Class ships.  Perfect timing as we realized our Early Saver VIFP offer was expiring as of today, so I think it is meant to be.  Can't wait till next year to go back to Bermuda and spend 3 days enjoying that beautiful island and all it has to offer.  Those cabins really went fast from last Thursday, lol.

Wow! You scared me! I just looked and there are many cabins available- I only looked at balcony- but there are regular balconies, cove , aft, aft vista, cloud 9, and aft extended view. I can’t decide which one to book. Looking forward to sailing to Bermuda.

Happy to have the Magic in Norfolk, but wish more of the sailings were 7 days or longer.

We sailed on a 10 day cruise and an 11 day cruise from Norfolk on Holland America’s Maasdam. Both were Southern Caribbean cruises- one in the spring and the other was in the fall. I wish there could be some longer cruise choices as well.

I was just watching my local news when they made the announcement. We will get a Carnival Ship for 5 yrs namely the Magic. 12 cruises at this point. Not sure of the exact schedule but I will definitely be taking a trip.

Actually, the the 8A is the lowest category and the 8T is the highest category of the cat 8's.

Thanks, tandemcruzr. I was just looking at the pdf deck plans, and I think if the prices go down for the spa balconies, I might be able to upgrade to deck 11 and receive the new pricing. I’ve never seen a ship sailing from Norfolk with so many unsold cabins.

i appreciate your input very much.

  6. We are cruising to Bahamas in May. This makes me rethink bringing crappy food snacks and instant coffee with us. Also, ordering wines for the room just in case we are quarantined.  And making sure to have a couple months of prescription meds. I never thought about this before. I feel so sorry for these passengers.

  7. Brina424, Check our the Windy app if you haven’t used it. Looks like you could leave Bermuda before the storm comes in, and travel back to NJ away from its track. I think you will be fine. Royal will make an intelligent decision. I think they have their own meteorologist!

Please follow in the other active thread here. But it will get a new thread tomorrow when it gets named. Forecast is too far out to see where it is going after Sunday yet.

Jerry is now the new storm. What is the other active thread to follow here?

  9. PelicanBill, thank you for reporting this info. I am sailing to Bermuda on Sunday from Charleston. We are scheduled to arrive Weds am. Can you post info about the next storm that might be approaching Bermuda after Humberto when time gets closer?

I am wondering where we might go if the ship is diverted. Maybe the cruise will be canceled?
