The liquid lounge is different because the chairs are removed after the show, and it turns into a nightclub. It didn't bother me at all. I enjoyed the shows. The 3 decks of Serenity, though❤️

AJ and family, thank you for the review. We will be sailing Sunshine from Norfolk this October as well. We really enjoyed our trip from Norfolk in June, so we splurged to go again. We never visited the Alchemy bar, but might go to watch the show of making the drinks. Do they serve wine there? We don't drink the hard stuff, but it sounds like a fun experience to be there.

Just off the ship today in New York. Service good, food good, ship clean but boy the ship was often cold....bring warm clothes, you will be glad that you did !!

I don't think you should lie and state that you are not pregnant. You are a parent now, and your child depends on you to make the right decisions.

You should be able to get a note from your doctor right away. Just call the office. Perhaps you should consult her/ him regarding Zika if you are sailing in areas that have the virus.

love the Serenity area! There are 3 levels. We sailed on Sunshine in June, and going again in a few days.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary on the Sunshine in June. Our daughter sent us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We loved the gift from Bon voyage. Saved the champagne for the last sea day, and hoarded the juice from breakfast to make mimosas. Wonderful!

wow! Thank you all for sharing your experiences about Cloud 9. I have never had any services on any cruise. I was thinking about it for my next cruise on Sunshine since we reserved a spa cabin. I think I won't now.

I thought that the spa cabins were provided the upgraded toiletries, too. Anyone who had a Cloud 9 cabin who can confirm? I wasn't planning to bring anything either( except sunscreen)

Yes! Never saw a child there except when a mom or dad were trying to find each other to switch. Very peaceful area.

No smells in June 2016.

Welcome to Cruise Critic, Mike. If you are arriving the night before your cruise and staying in a hotel downtown, some offer free parking for the week. You can walk to the ship from the hotel.

Oh, no! I am so sorry for this news. I'd be glad to know now, instead of finding this out when you get back. I hope you have insurance.

We sailed Sunshine from Norfolk in June. It was great. Favorite place was Serenity area. There were three decks! Getting around the ship took some thinking, but it is our favorite after the Maasdam. We are going on her again in October to Bermuda. Wonderful time!

It is interesting how many different experiences people have. The staff asked people to move after sunset, and stacked chairs, put away pillows, and cleaned. They gently made it clear that it was time to move along. The Sunshine has the very best Serenity area of any ship I've been on. The three decks provide so many seating options. We were lucky there were no chair hogs.

We loved Sunshine, and have another cruise booked on her in the fall. It is hard to get around due to the design of the floors, you can get mixed up, but I really think the poster who said it was designed by Ray Charles was VERY rude.I didn't use a quote because I don't want to embarrass, but you should think before you type.

You're only option is to upgrade. But it doesn't hurt to call your PVP.

Good advice. Did higher level cabins also decrease? That's how we always get a balcony.

Hi, you can email the maitre d on your ship and request this. I have done it the last couple of times, and got a reply in a couple of days. We were designated for late dining and confirmed, though. Enjoy your cruise!
