I just saw a price drop for a spa balcony on Sunshine. We could upgrade to that on deck 11 or 12 for $250 total. It is a 5 day cruise to Bahamas from Norfolk. We are currently in an inside on deck 8. Do you all think it's worth it/ good deal? Thanks in advance for opinions or thoughts

I want to upgrade to a balcony on Sunshine sailing from Norfolk on June 10. I was ready to make the change when the rates went down $100 per person. By the time I called, the rates were back up, but the cabins were still available. There are still several balconies and suites open. Since it is so close to sailing, how likely is it that rates will dip again? Is there a certain day or time of day that the rates change? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Thanks, everyone. Great pic from the ship, Firemanbobswife. I didn't know we could leave bags with the porters before, but that makes sense to do. Usually ships leave Norfolf a little earlier than 6 p.m.

We are sailing from Norfolk, VA on the Sunshine June 10. There is a huge festival on the downtown waterfront that day. Will we be able to check in and board the ship, and then leave to walk around the festival for a couple of hours? The ship leaves at 6:00p.m. Thank you in advance. The reps from Carnival did not know.

Hello, we are in our 60s and have cruised Rccl, Princess, Holland , and Carnival. Our favorite line is Holland because of the longer cruises and the elegance. It does shut down early at night, however. We really do enjoy Carnival. We have a cruise booked in a couple of weeks on the Sunshine for our 40th anniversary. We love the vibrant activity, the families, and the Casino. Keep asking questions!

Well, I did reserve a cabin for this cruise from Norfolk on the Sunshine. It is our 40th anniversary. I am looking forward to cruising very soon! We have never booked one so close to sail date!

Does anyone have opinions about waiting to book a cruise until close to sailing date? I am looking at the Sunshine from Norfolk , VA to the Bahamas on June 10, 2016. Right now there are several cabins available, but the price for an inside is over $800, which is a lot for a five day vacation. Thanks in advance for any insight or advice.

I was looking at a cruise to nowhere from Norfolk on May 16. This morning there were lots of cabins in most every category. When I looked a noon, the cruise had disappeared from the website. I called Carnival, and they said that there were cabins available, and that they were able to view the cruise. Then, I called to

He Internet helpline, and was told that it had sold out. Just now, I called again, and the PVP said there were cabins. Anyone have any idea about why it disappeared? Thanks everybody!

Thanks, everyone. She is still on hold, so I will let you know what she has to do. She called me this morning, and asked me,"Um, do you have my ticket?" Grrrrrr, I told her WEEKS ago to do online check in.

I printed out a copy of the confirmation of paid in full statement in case that's needed. Hoping she brings her passport...:(
