Those booked in JS cabins can also enjoy Coastal Kitchen.
The menu says JS...but the FAQ page says GS and above
Would be good to know which one is right :)

This "Freestyle" dining doesn't cater to those with dietary restrictions very much if at all. You have 17 places to eat dinner if traveling in a regular cabin, and of that only 5....are free.
Really?!

Am I just missing it-or did the OP not put which ship they were looking to book on?
Would a Family Ocean view not work for a large group as well?

Never been in a suite before always inside rooms. but I say go with the cheapest! Most people spend very little time in the room so why not put any extra money towards excursions and fun stuff!
That was my thinking before this year when I had my first ever balcony...and aft cabin. I don't think I'll be going into a inside cabin again. My PR room was nice...but that balcony.... LOL!
The RFS does have the loungers and sitting table with 4 chairs on the balcony. So you could order from room service and have lunch on your nice quiet balcony instead of cramming into the WJ. It has suite perks too. If I had kids-especially little ones I'd go for the suite. If not for the extra space in the cabin and second bathroom, get it for the bathtub :D No more crammed shower stall ^_^

Me too..especially if they've gone away from traditional MDR style dining how they are going to handle people with food allergies or intolerances.

I see that. And yet they straightened out the deck chairs and didn't clean up the sea weed.
LOL
Maybe the deck chairs is one dept. and seaweed removal another? Though it does look like the may have closed the upper deck if the chairs are all neatly stacked.

Didn't this ship suffer a fire last year?
Yes-it was
Royal doesn't seem to having a good week....

The price we were quoted for the RFS on Adventure for 5 people was $6000 for a week. (For a Feb. 2015 sailing...7 days)

We flew in Southwest and it was originally planned we didn't change planes. Well delays up and down the coast (Feb 20) caused our flight to leave Buffalo late and we landed in Orlando late. Southwest decided to take those of us going onto San Juan off the plane we were on and merge our flight with another last minute. This rush rush ended up in my dads suitcase not making it onto our new plane. This contained about 80% of his clothes and both my mothers formal outfits. Whoops!
We land in San Juan about 4am and....no bag. My mother filed a claim with Southwest and went to the hotel-hoping it turned up before we boarded Sunday. (This was Saturday).
We'd gone out Saturday afternoon for a walk and arriving back at the hotel later on that day discovered the missing bag had arrived on the next flight into San Juan.

We had 1394 on Adventure....it was amazing....booked again for next year. The balcony was the best part.

Anyone have an idea of what non alcoholic drinks are included in the royal replenish package?
I believe as long as it's "virgin" it's included...I had so many yummy lava flows and mango lava flows, etc :D

I would NOT want to be working for Royal in their customer service dept. today....yikes. They really should have posted something on their page or the FB page or something.
Fingers crossed they can get some fix for those who sail today <3

Isn't Black Diamond a snow skiing term for an expert run?
That was my thinking....the hill I see and go NOPE! I'll be on the bunny hill thanks :D

We had difficulty with loud noises coming from the back of the boat. Sometimes it sounded like a chain dragging, other times it was more of a grinding sound. You could hear it through the balcony windows. It made sitting outside on the balcony almost impossible some nights. On the comment card, I said that I hoped they got it fixed when they went into dry dock. I honestly wondered a few times if we would make it back with that loud noise. Wonder if that was the propeller or something to do with the propeller that finally broke.
We were on Adventure a couple weeks ago in an aft JS and my mom said that exact thing. This one night it was really loud at the back, but I can't remember which night it was.
Sucks for those on this week and next they won't get the full cruise they'd planned for.

There is an hotel called Hotel Miramar in San Juan that is a very cute little hotel. It's nothing big or fancy, but the staff are helpful and that roof top terrace is AMAZING!
It's walking distance to several little shops and eateries too. We saved a ton of money buy getting groceries and having a picnic at the hotel. (There are loungers and tables up there). There is also beaches walking distance as well from the hotel (10 min).
Also a quick ride to the cruise port.

You can HSC any day and every day via room service
The HSC that arrived from room service on our Adventure cruise two weeks ago...was gross looking chicken tenders or fingers or something.
-
Our first week on Adventure my parents placed an order for Honey Stung Chicken from room service...got these gross looking dried up chicken tenders instead. She (mom) said they weren't even "honey kissed"

People have suggested it depends on the port you sail from. Any chance it was Fort Lauderdale?
Sounds like Baltimore...which is where I got the water on.

I just came off Adventure and had no problem getting GF food....just had to ask. They have a tasty potato bread which I had in place of rolls at supper. Heads up though-they toast not so good. I also had a standing order with the MDR and WJ which my server placed so that I just had to ask for GF pancakes and they were made fresh right then.
I also was shown the next night menu in advance, although my order really didn't change much since I don't like red meat or seafood. I lived on salad and grilled chicken. :D
They also have a selection of GF pasta and rolls-but you do need to ask in advance. They will also make the potatoes special if you ask the night before. (They are cooked on their own from the main batch).
I did snap a pic from the Galley Tour of the GF display....however the cord to upload the pictures from my camera was packed into the bag....that somehow missed my flight and thankfully it was found...just waiting on Fedex.

When I went on Enchantment I brought a case of water. Stuck a few luggage tags on the sides it to keep the bottles secure. Lost a few between drop off, but it did get to my cabin. No problems.

She's not in dry dock yet-has a few more sailings to go. They were added after I believe. She's getting the pervasive Wi-fi (which they started when we on last week), the info screens, a Cupcake Cupboard and a screen on the pool deck.
What I heard they were adding anyway.

Just came back from a B2B on Adventure of the Seas. We had a JS and it came with 2 robes already in the room, coffee maker and kettle on the counter, walk-in closet and a nice little seating area. There were four bottles on the counter which were shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Room had plenty of storage as well.
We were in a connecting cabin just below the Windjammer and I never heard any noise.

I haven't seen it. I usually wind up eating special K or a bran cereal. I would have chosen Chex if It was available.
Thanks-guess I'm bringing my own. :)
-
Anyone who has sailed recently remember if Royal has Chex on board as a breakfast option? Rice or Honey would be great if they did.
