Glad to hear some good reviews....as I am a little worried that it wont be as enjoyable as the Bahamas cruise's i have done....but the ship looks amazing!
I think the trip to Cozumel and Grand Cayman is great! Much better than ever going to Nassau.

If you let the head waiter know by lunch time how large your dinner party will be it will greatly help them accommodate everyone else at dinner and help the staff keep things moving efficiently.
We had an Aft Cabin last Feb. Absolutely loved it. No passenger stairs but the walk isn't bad. The nice thing is that it helps you walk off all the extras of vacation and the hallway is quiet.
You can go to any bar to get a soda.

Having an Aft Cabin, the R bar, and just being at Sea!

Great! Thank you!

We just booked another cruise on the Brilliance of the sea. We have cabin #1000. Its right behind the Ships Bridge. Anyone stayed up near the front of the ship? Is there a lot of foot traffic going to and from the Bride?

Love the 5 day Brilliance cruise! We did it in Feb of 2014. Doing it again in Feb of 2016 and taking our grown daughters with.
A great thing on Grand Cayman is ebanks watersports Jetski to Stingray city and starfish beach.
I'd do it for the holidays this year if I could!

We sailed on Brilliance in Feb of 2014. Loved it. We just booked again for the same cruise in Jan 2016. Tampa to Cozumel & Grand Cayman 5 day. The only thing we did not care for was the cruise director and most of his staff. Pretty sure it was Steve Davis. They were not as fun or engaging as we have experienced before. They would show up sparsely at events and were quite disorganized at times. But the crew does change and we will still have fun no matter what!

Didn't care for Nachi last Feb. It was a quiet relaxing day, the food was good but the drinks were bland and had little alcohol in them.
Many people we met on the cruise did a bar bus tour and had a grand time.
Best of luck!

We rent a car from Budget, drive to Port Canaveral from Orlando stay in a hotel overnight and return the car the morning we board the ship. Budget has a free shuttle to and from the cruise port a few minutes away. We rent a car for the trip back to Orlando to fly home. Done this many times and it works great.

Nothing can beat Disney Perfect. When you walk off the ship at Castaway Cay the beach has been cleaned and groomed. Not a foot print in the sand. Like I said. Disney Perfect..:D
On Coco cay (RCCL) there was large puddles of water you had to navigate off the ramp from the tender because the sand was all pushed away. There was garbage and Cigarette butts in the sand. Broke shells that would cut your feet. :(

The water on the ship is Reverse Osmosis or Distilled. (depending on the ship) No need to carry water on board.

Went to Nassau and Coco Cay last year. We ended up back on the ship in short order.
I would go with the Western Caribbean in a heart beat.
We did a set ski tour to Sting Ray city and starfish beach in Grand Cayman with Ebanks watersports. We had a great time. It was the highlight of our western cruise!

I agree with most of what you have said. I have only been on Monarch and Brilliance. I won't sail Brilliance based on the poor entertainment, lack luster cruise director and staff, and then the total mess with my time dining. I did not like that they closed the Solarium hot tub later in the evening.

We were just on the Brilliance last week. The main dining room for my time dining was a complete mess. After 2 nights we ate at chops, the chefs table and Giovanni's on the last night. I wish I would have just booked the package. Just make sure if you do check the schedule for karaoke. It started up right after we started our dinner at the chefs table and kind of ruined the elegance of the meal.

We just spent a week on brilliance, no soot. Great cabin, great view. Just a long walk to the stairs and elevator.

We did 2- 7 day cruise's on the Disney Magic years ago. First one was the Eastern Caribbean, second one was the Western. Our girls loved them both. Our girls are grown and my Wife and I cruised last Feb. on the Monarch of the seas. An old ship that has now left the fleet. It was nice, the food was good and we had a blast. Next week we will be on Brilliance of the sea. Disney is great but it will cost you more. Our first RC cruise was great and we are looking at planning for another next year. Grand Cayman and Cozumel are awesome!!

awesome review. Sailing on Brilliance on Feb 10th. Can't wait to experience it for myself.

Sailing on Brilliance of the Sea in 2 weeks. We will be in an Aft Cabin. Can't wait to share the view.:D

Going on Brilliance of the Sea on Feb 10th. Time to book a hotel. Looking for someplace with complimentary shuttle service. I can get a room on points at the embassy suites but they nickle and dime you for Wifi, parking and $5 per person for the shuttle. Does Budget car rental offer a shuttle?
-
I've used Budget a couple times in Port Canaveral. Always great fast service. They have a shuttle that will take you to their facility just a couple miles away.

I started TSFL last winter. Down 50 pounds so far. 30 more to go. Been off the plan a couple times due to illness. Its hard to stomach monster antibiotics and live on the 5/1 plan. I hope I can reach my goal before my cruise in February.
-
Feb of 2013 we found 3 twinkies still in wrappers in a drawer on Monarch of the seas. They looked like they had been there a while. We thought maybe it was a running joke with the cabin steward to see how long they would last there. We left them behind for the next guest.

Started Medifast on Jan 21st at 281 pounds. lost 18 pounds in 3 weeks. Put 9 pounds back on the week if our last cruise. But I keep losing weight. Yesterday I weighed in at 234 pounds. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. 8 plus years since I was at this weight. My goal is to get below 200 by next February before our next cruise. No matter what I am happy to lose a little at a time. I travel for work and it makes it so easy for me being on the road every week.
-
One month into my Medifast program and I am down 24 pounds. I also took one week off for a 5 day cruise. I gained 3 pounds that week. Going well for me. Hoping to lose another 60 pounds by next Feb 10th when my wife and I go on or next cruise! I can't wait to see the difference in the pictures from the two cruises.
Good luck to you all!

We have sailed Disney twice and Loved it. A few years away from cruising and we are hooked on RCCL. That said, we still look at doing another Disney cruise even though our children are grown. I was just looking at booking a Panama cruise and compared the prices and it would be cheaper on Disney. Any given cruise will have its ups and downs and to each his own. No matter what, the important thing is I am on a cruise and the email and cell phone are out of commission!!
