We were on Majesty last month and my DH and I ate at the Mexican restaurant all 3 nights. They have a pretty small menu but it's all you can eat. They also bring you as much chips and salsa/guacamole that you want. They have several types of guacamole to choose from and maybe a few different salsas but I don't remember for sure. I'm vegetarian and they were able to accommodate that despite not having any vegetarian entrees on the menu. Also, my DH and I like our food very spicy and the second night our guacamole was to die for (as we had asked for it to be made extra spicy) and it's what lured us back to eat there for the third night. However, the guacamole was very different the third night when we requested it extra spicy and our waiter told us there was a different chef that night.
They have a few dessert options as well. We got the churro the first night and it was incredible. We were too full the other two nights to get dessert so that's all we experienced from the dessert menu. I can't remember what else they offered but I would imagine they have some sort of tres leches as is typical of Mexican restaurants.
Obviously, we really enjoyed it, but my DH and I are huge Mexican food fans and prefer that over most other types of food. Also, we made reservations the first two nights but decided not to bother on the third night as it was never very crowded when we were there. We went around 8:00-8:30 every night and one of the nights (can't remember which) we were the only ones there.
It opens at 6:30 pm and is $12 pp. There was no Taste of Tuscany on this sailing (not sure if they got rid of it for good but it kinda seems like it) but there was Chef's Table on night 2.
I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you have any more and I'll do my best to answer.
Yes that was very helpful! Thank you

Thank you for your reply!
Do you happen to know what is included for the twelve dollars each?
We are familiar with the deli as it has been there the other times we have sailed but are specifically interested in the Mexican available there after the deli closes. Thank you!
-
Surely someone has ate there or atleast looked into it while onboard? I did hear there is an extra fee to eat there and that is seemed to take the place of the Taste of Tuscany. Anyone?
-
I have read on a couple of other threads that the Compass Deli on Majesty now turns into a Mexican restaurant at night. I can't find anything about this on the website.
Has anyone ate there personally? What is available and what hours are they open?
We are booked on Majesty twice between now and her last voyage and would love more details about this if anyone has them. Thank you!

Looks like they just changed the look of all the decorations. I was looking in gifts and gear on royal's site last week and noticed pictures of the new decorations. You should take a look there so you know exactly what you are getting. We have done the decorations a couple of times, and always enjoyed them, they lasted all week everytime.

We are booked for May 2015 on the Oasis. We oiginally booked when they were planning on rolling out Dynamic Dining however it was listed as MTD at that time and they added prepaid gratuities to our total. When they postponed DD, we changed back to MTD and I assumed our total would stay the same at final payment because prepaid grats would still have been on there.
When we paid final payment this week, I was charged $168 less than what I thought, which is exactly the amount of our gratuities. When I called the TA, they told me that since we originally had DD and Royal had changed that after we booked, they are not requiring us to prepay our grats.

The cupcake place has now merged with the ice cream place. It is called Cups and Scoops and is located on the boardwalk. I would assume they will have the classes there.

Like you I love the eastern Caribbean however the more we sail the western I am loving that now too! Really just love to cruise and really love the big ships such as Allure and Oasis!
I think you should give the Oasis western itinerary a try. Labadee is my favorite stop of anywhere as the beaches are clean, beautiful and it is just your ship there so easy to find secluded spots if you want or you can join a big group if want as well! At Falmouth the port area is very safe and most feel it is very commercialized but we enjoy it. Usually just have a relaxing morning on the ship and then get off to enjoy lunch at one of the spots in the port area and walk around to look at all the local crafts. There are plenty of excursions you can pick as well if you prefer that.
Cozumel has a little bit of everything to offer. As a solo cruiser I would probably pick an excursion for your first visit or go to a beach club. We are trying the Cozumel BarHop for the first time in May and are really excited. The reviews and you tube videos are great and you could meet some fun people that way.
No matter what you pick, you will be on a cruise ship and not at work so you will have a blast! Enjoy!

Following along as well. Just finished with Radio's live and now this one! This really helps us not cruising for awhile keep the cruise Blues away! We really appreciate you taking the time to do this. Most of all......enjoy your vacation!

Yeah another Live review!!
Thank you for taking the time to do these whenever you are on a ship, it is much appreciated! Always love a live review but yours are some of the best!

Can't help you with the second two but can some on the first two.
It is best to reserve all shows ahead of time. While they do let anyone in without a reservation 10 mins before show time, you will have to stand in a line until then and sometimes not get in. The comedy show has the least amount of seating so definitely book that ahead of time if you think you want to go. If you end up not going to a show it really isn't a big deal as others who didn't book ahead will have a chance to take your spots.
If you are very particular about what time you want to eat at a specialty restaurant then you should book ahead. However they leave a certain amount of reservations open for those who wish to book onboard so we have never had any issues getting what we need.
As far as I understand from our TA, the dining rooms will operate the same as always until they roll out the dynamic dining. So yes it will be the same menus and same process just with different decor since they already redecorated!
Hope that helps a little at least!
We have been on Oasis only once but the Allure five times so if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Looking forward to your review! We will be on in May and this will help pass a little of the time!

I believe the cupcake cupboard was joined with the ice cream place, "Cups & Scoops". Or atleast that is the rumor I heard before the deck plans came out

They would not allow us to put a roll away bed in our CL due to space and fire hazards, etc. We have had both cabins you are deciding on and while the CL was a new experience, the OS was our favorite by far. We enjoyed the balcony more and the space was better utilized.

Someone currently on the Allure has confirmed that Ken Rush is their cruise director this week.

One of the posters on the Diamond/DiamondPlus/Pinnacle thread asked the same question a few weeks ago. From what I remember about her post, she found out they are testing a new format for the set sail pass and she was told she could sign anywhere.
They have not rolled this out fleet wide yet.

I've never seen a CL that offered to get you your drink of choice for 25% off. I've never seen a sign in the CL, for that matter. Is that a recent list?
On our Enchantment cruise in May they had this same menu and when I asked about getting something not on the menu for 25% off! they happily went out to the Viking crown and brought it to me. I double checked the receipt when they brought it as I was curious if they actually gave me the discount and they did! I would have bought it anyways cause I just started drinking wine and am still kind of picky about what I drink! :)

We have stayed in both, however we talk all the time about really enjoying the grand suite so much more than the crown loft. We felt like we had more space in the grand suite and enjoyed the balcony more as it was longer. The Crown lofts balcony is very deep and was hard to sit and enjoy the ocean even with our chairs pulled all the way up.
Obviously we are the exception from the other posts here, but we would keep the grand suite without a second thought!

Guess Mistermom is really enjoying his vacation now! I don't blame him!
We are on the Allure in less than two months and can't wait!
-
Is Katie still the activities manager on the Allure or is it someone else? We have seen Katie on several ships and are hoping to see her again on the Allure in August. Since you mentioned the activities manager at the meet n mingle, I though I would ask! Thanks!
So jealous you are on the Allure and I have to work all week! :)
-
I will be on the Allure in August when I reach 210 points. I really want to make sure I get the Allure block as it is my favorite ship by far? Should I contact someone ahead of time to ensure I am on their list?

Can't wait to hear about your chops dinner! I think they have the new chops menu by now but not sure. Thanks
-
Food from the first night in Chops - the day they started the new menu.
Prettier bacon - the one that hooked me. I won't go to Chops without getting this no matter what else I order.
My Petit Filet, before I decided to be more daring and try something new the next time.
The plated tater tots before they had the new little crocks to serve them in.
The new cookies for dessert. I have no idea what they taste like but they look good to me.
Thank you for posting these and the menu!
It all looks good right now and I can't wait to try it. One question, what is the little sauce they serve with the tator tots?
Oasis/Allure without Broadway show
in Royal Caribbean International

For all of our Allure and Oasis sailings the Broadway shows have come out for reservations later than the other shows. We have always made reservations once they were available so we knew we could get seats together and of our choice. Most likely they are not posted for you yet.
