We always book ES when available, and have received a price drop credit every time. Might only be $20, but we got it.

We always laminated using clear shelf paper, now we use cruise luggage tags. $24 for 8 of them.
-
Thanks for the info. I see your point.
Your welcome, and I'm the boat, my wife isn't a drinker either. But always save $$$$ by buying cheers.
-

I was kind of excited about Cheers until I read that everyone in the stateroom over 21 is forced to buy into the program. I dont have any issues with 15 drinks a day however my wife will never even get close. So the cost of this wont work for us since we will have to buy 2.:mad:
I am new to the board and know I should search first but does someone have a link handy that shows the price of drinks and beers on the Dream?
You don't have to drink 15, or even close to make cheers pay off. 5 martinis and your there
-
i understand that pop and non alcoholic smoothies are part of the cheers plan...the soda isnt counted toward our 15 drinks per day count ..so will the non alcoholic smoothie virgin drinks count towards your 15
No non-alcoholic drink counts towards it.

Yup. We're in 03 on Empress.
Excited to try these cabins but must admit we still might jump to a balcony if the price gets right.
We will be happy either way.
I haven't made my platinum yet...I got cruise number 9 and 10 about 6 months too late. But I dont mind riding dh's coattails. :)
Yep, your just 3 doors down, lol. If the price is right we might switch as well, but I want to try this room to. It would have to drop a lot for me to switch. I will definitely try these rooms on my oct. Cruise 2015, we have B2B with same room. As long as one of you is platinum is all that matters, you still get the best perks out of it.
-
I took one along on my cruise on the Pride, put a luggage tag on it and gave it to the porter, made it to the room without any issues. Used it on my extended balcony and when not in use it was in my room folded up in a corner out of the way.
Thank you, glad see someone who has done it, I will most likely do the same, put a tag and hand it off.

Hi neighbor.
We are in a 4j on the liberty cruise in Feb as well. The chair is a great idea. We were planning on using the deck some to dry our dive gear in the afternoons. A chair would let us hang out and relax while the gear is
rying.
Hubby is platinum so I would think we could just carry it on and take it to the room.
Great idea.
Hello neighbor, are you on deck 7 ? I seen a couple more have been booked. I think the chairs would be more comfy for relaxing than those benches. My wife and I are both platinum, but I might just give it to the porter, the less I carry the better :)
-
Just a thought.. you can take the chairs if you want to, as i agree the bench is not a comfortable seat. But there are railings all around those forwards decks that you can only see over if you are standing at them.. So consider that if you bring a chair you are going to be sitting there looking at a white wall railing. You are not going to be able to see much. So if you just want to be able to sit outside, that is fine...
Thanks sailor, I know how the ships are set up, but yes sometimes it's nice to just out at night and enjoy the fresh air, it's not like your going to see much at night anyway. I like to sit and look at the stars as well, I can do that from a chair.
-
I would put them together in a duffle bag with the tag around the handle. Seems like it would be awkward and bulky strapped on the outside of luggage. More likely to get damaged too.
OP I assume you are driving to the port?
I will only strap them to my luggage while I'm pulling them, I will unstrap them when I give them to the porter, since he will have cart. For my February cruise I will be flying, when I get to Orlando I will rent a car. I will go by Walmart to see if I can find a cheap chair. In October I will be driving.
-
OP and others- if you strap it to your checked luggage make sure you put a separate luggage tag on it just in case they get separated...
Yeah I planed on making a luggage tag for each chair. Thanks
-
I think I will prolly take a couple cheap ones, I can't see it being an issue. I'm not going to leave them on the deck when I'm not using them.
-
I've seen people walking off the ship with them and heading to the beach, but never seen one used on the ship itself.
If it wasn't for the room I'm in I wouldn't take one on the ship, but think it will be nice to have at that part of the ship.
-
They must be in a 4J cabin. In the very front of the ship on 2 or 3 decks there is a walkway that anyone can go to through a door at the end of the hallway. Very few people go there. We are booked in a 4J for our next cruise and I've thought of how t get a chair to sit on but think the most I would carry is a stadium seat with a cushion instead of a chair.
There is only a bench on these outside deck. Some people call them the hidden balcony cause so few people ever go there.
Mine is on deck 7 in February and deck 9 in October.
-
What bench? And where do you sit out at night with a bench?
Very front of ship, usually deck 6,7, and 9. Not very many people know about those decks or rooms.
-
I would take it in when not using it, not leave it out. It's no more of a safety issue than the chairs they have on the ship.
-
Don't really see how it could be a pain, strap it on my suitcase and give it to the porter. I'm not carrying around the ship me like some people do with cases of water, that's a pain
-
I didn't think it would be but thought I would see if anyone had done it. I like sitting out at night but not really on those benches.
-
For us, usually 4 month or earlier. We have 3 cruises booked from now till October 2015
-
We were satisfied with ours.
-
Has anyone ever taken a folding chair with them on a cruise ? If so did you have any problems getting them on board, did you just send them through with your luggage ? My next three cruises I will be in an interior room with a walkway view, thought a couple chairs would be nicer than those benches.

I was talking to the people like steve the pirate who said no you cant... ... but you can submit the form.
And you are right, kind of, the 48 hour deal used to be call in. Now it has its own form
http://www.carnival.com/content/lowest-price-guarantee.aspx?icid=CC_FAC_455
If you use the form for early saver it'll be denied.
Ok, sorry I wasn't trying to be an A hole, I just know I wasn't being a hypocrite. If in doubt I always call, and if I was this OP, I would call and submit the form.
-
Such hypocrites on today.
NO MATTER HOW YOU BOOK, THE 48 HR PRICE GUARANTEE APPLIES.
Call carnival, let them know you booked today, and it went down, and want to claim the 110% best price guarantee. you will get not just the difference, but an extra 10%.
Apparently you don't know what hypocrite means, but if I go on your belief of the word, you yourself would be one. You don't call carnival you submit the form online. The program can be changed or cancelled at anytime. So the program may or may NOT include price drops. And I know that I at least said to call and ask, it can't hurt.
