Once again, it has absolutely nothing to do with whether they booked the Haven or were upgraded to the Haven. Every Haven passenger, regardless of how they got there, dines in the Haven restaurant at no additional charge.

Charges for beverages are solely the product of what type of beverage package you have, if any.  We always decline the beverage package regardless of whether we're in the Haven because we  booked it, in the Haven because we were upgraded,  or we're in an ordinary non Haven cabin. Haven passengers aren't gifted a beverage package just by virtue of being in the Haven, regardless of whether they booked the Haven or were upgraded to the Haven.

I know it has nothing to do with whether they booked the Haven or not. I only mentioned it that if they had booked a sailaway rate there was no FAS. So, someone may have made an error in the computer system that charged them. There is no reason they will not get reimbursed for the error. However, they should send all the documents as proof seeing as though they are not currently on the ship. That was my point. Also, if they purchased specialty coffee or drinks that were not included in their package then they could have been charged for that as well. I just hope when they submit everything they get reimbursed quickly.

    Booked the Haven outright.

Then definitely they should give you your money back. There is never a charge in the Haven restaurant unless purchase drinks that are not covered. When sending your documents to NCL be sure to send a copy of your invoice and original booking invoice. It may take them a few weeks but I am sure they will take care of it. Good luck.

Curious question for the OP. Did you book the Haven out right or did you win a bid or upgrade? This may make a difference. Please advise us as I did not see this anywhere in this thread. TY

I asked this because on the shorter cruise the OP could have booked a sail away rate and won an upgrade. In that case there would not be a FAS perk. They would still have the Haven perks however, a mistake could have been made which would be why they were charged. A glitch in the computer? Could happen. Order after dinner coffee or drink? We will never really know what the charges are as the invoice only shows a part of it. I hope when NCL looks at the invoice they will see it is a mistake as they do not charge for the Haven dining room. Good luck getting it taken care of. Please come back and let us know the outcome.

  4. I can't comment on Ocean Blue as we have never been on a ship that has this restaurant. Although I am hoping to be able to experience it someday....

My choices are Cagney's, LeBistro, Teppanyaki & LaCucina. We always book Cagney's twice first & last night. Then figure the rest out during the week.

You can't go wrong with any that you chose. All the restaurants are great. Of course this is just my opinion. Enjoy whichever ones you chose.

  5. Just an FYI on the post cruise excursion. Here are the terms & conditions. This is probably why you did not receive the $50.00 credit as you were doing a post cruise excursion. The full details can be found on NCL website.

    $50 USD Shore Excursion Credit

    • Pre-cruise and post-cruise land tours are not eligible for this promotion.
    • $50 Shore Excursion Credit has no monetary value, are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for actual currency of any value.

  6. Thank you johnindc. I actually tried to look up the cost by putting in the address from start to finish. It was less then the shuttle services and the shuttle services want prepayment and I can’t see paying 6+ months ahead. Hopefully it will be the same once we are there. I did add both apps to my phone. Seems to be the way most travel now a days. I appreciate your imput and glad to know they are both reliable and safe.

  7. I have been doing research on the transportation. I thought it would be way easier. I am considering doing a lyft or uber. However, we have never used the service before. Does anyone know how safe & reliable a lyft would be? Is one better than the other? Do you have to schedule ahead or is this something you do the same day. I really want to start my vacation off right and stay in Disney for a few days. I also want to know we are getting picked up around 8am to get to the port for 9:30ish. I figure it is about an hour and a half. Anyone with knowledge or thoughts?

    Thank you,

    We've used these services:

    A1A Limo:

    https://a1alimo.com/car-service-orlando/

Have used them several times in different cities.

    Cocoa Beach Shuttle:

If you want a sedan, be very specific when making the reservation. Our hotel made the reservation and although we requested a sedan, we ended up with a very uncomfortable van for 2 people.

NJLVW - don't know where you live in Massachusetts, but when we lived in the west suburbs we would take a cab or Logan Express to the airport, then treat ourselves to the excellent livery service of Le Limo when we arrived back in Boston. It was a wonderful way to end a cruise!

EatonDoolittle - the OP and NJLVW basically asked the same question since Kissimee is adjacent to Orlando, the location of Disney World. They just used different geographic references for their starting point. End destination is basically the same for both inquiries.

Thank you for the info. Will reach out to them this week.

We usually fly out of TF Green as it is an easier airport for us. Parking isn’t to bad there either and closer to home.

Since it's non-cruise related, have you asked the question on Google?

At one time I was looking for transportation from the east coast of FL to Port of Tampa, and several car / limo services came up as options, both east coast based and Tampa based.

Disney provides pretty good customer service, you could also call and ask the hotel concierge for recommendations to get to the port from their hotel. I'm sure your situation is not unique.

Any good front desk or concierge will have a list of frequently requested services to recommend.

I felt it was cruise related as I need to know how to get to the cruise port. I have done a google search. However, where I am not familiar with the area I thought I would reach out to those that possibly knew the best way to get from point A to B. A recommendation from someone who knows transportation companies.

As for Disney transportation their front desk does not know services to Tampa from there. The transportation that they used to use for the cruises only went to Port Canaveral.

We used to have a guy Michael from executive transportation. He did the loop several times for us. However, I do not believe he is still in business. So I was hoping someone on these boards could assist me.

Thank you in advance for anyone who could assist me.

  10. Hello all. I am looking for recommendations for transportation from DisneyWorld to the Port of Tampa. We do not want to rent a car to drive there. I am hoping that someone knows of a reliable transportation / shuttle company who does this route. I used to use Michael from VIPLimo. Seems that he is no longer in business as I have tried to call them. I have tried google search just not sure I am finding much or those that would be reliable as we want to get to the port early in the morning. Any suggestions would be quite helpful. I have time as we do not cruise now until March 2023. Had to cancel the last few years because of Covid so really looking forward to this vacation. The other alternative would be to just fly into Tampa and stay at a hotel close to the port. Any and all suggestions on hotels would be appreciated as well. Some place that either has a restaurant on site or restaurants in walking distance. We have never stayed in Tampa so the area is very new to us. Usually cruise out of Miami and always stay at the Hyatt. Thank you in advance for any and all help.

  11. We have stayed in11560 several times when we have had the 2 bedroom suite on the Dawn. The only noise I remember hearing is when the deck chairs move. I think that is what is above. It has been many years since being in the suite. I have not stayed in 11060 which is the mirror image as I always book the same room when cruising. We do love the Dawn. Awesome ship!

  12. I love Patrick. He is one of the best.  He has always gone above & beyond. Have traveled with him many times. He was on the Dawn however he just went on his vacation. If you do have an opportunity to travel with him as your Concierge watch out as you will be spoiled...
