  1. Kim, love your reviews. Always look forward to reading them. As always fantastic pictures!! I am glad to see some of the differences on the ship. I am actually considering going back on the EPIC in January. I have an itch. Really prefer the smaller ships but the EPIC may just fit in my needs for now. This way we can get a day or 2 at Disney. lol. Thank you so much again for taking the time to write and post pictures. It is very time consuming and I for one really appreciate the time you take to do this.

  2. Just an update as everyone has been so helpful.

     

    I still do not have my personalized luggage tags. After several phone calls with the same excuses they are in que to go out on Friday. We do not know why they haven't been sent out. Pre-concierge has sent me generic luggage tags. Everyone I have spoken to has been extremely nice. I never received my welcome letter either so they kindly sent me an email. I still have until the beginning of next week to see if they arrive.

     

    None of this will ruin our vacation as my vacations are what we make them. I will fill out the ones I have received and move on. I am very much looking forward to my time away with my DH. It just would have been nice to receive as it gets the excitement going!

  3. Thank you for taking the time out from your vacation to be posting. I am loving it already. Love the pictures so far. More, more, more!!! If you happen to think about it could you take pictures of the menus from dinner at Cagney's, LeBistro & the Italian and post them. It would be appreciated. Breakfast from Cagney's too if not to much trouble.

     

    Can't wait to be on board in just 2 weeks. Can't wait to see Patrick. He is wonderful. Have had the pleasure of cruising with him several times now. Enjoy your time on board and Thank you again for your review.

  4. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your week on board the Spirit. Glad to hear the positive. We will be on her in 2 weeks and am patiently waiting. So I love reading when people share their experience. It helps pass the time until we board.

     

    Hopefully we won't see a lot of chair hogs but I do believe they are on every cruise. :(

    Do you remember if in Cagney's for dinner they had the crab cakes, lobster bisque & surf & turf? I know it is silly but those items I miss from years ago. Also, we have always just waited until on board to book dinner reservations. Hoping Patrick will be able to get us squeezed in. Love Patrick. Have been fortunate to have had him as our concierge several times now. I have been looking forward to seeing him on this cruise again. How was the room? I did see the pictures from the C05 review. Looks fantastic.

  6. They have an ice cream station in the buffet on deck 12. I just started a review today from last weeks cruise. I hope you find it informative.

     

    Silly question about ice cream I know but hey priorities...lol

    Did you happen to notice Cagney's menu? Does it have the crab cakes, lobster bisque, oysters rockefella (sp), & surf & turf on the dinner menu? Was it difficult getting dinner reservations once on board? I am so excited to be getting ready for my cruise. All information is much appreciated. So, thank you for taking the time to do this...

  8. As we get closer to my cruise date I thought I would bring this back up top to see if there are any new thoughts from those just returning from their fabulous cruise on the Spirit. I do believe there has been staff changes so wondering who the concierge & butler staff are now currently aboard? Any info is always greatly appreciated. I have read that the menus for Cagney's are the new menus with the crab cakes, lobster bisque & surf & turf. If anyone happens to have a copy of the menus from especially Cagney's I would love to see it. Also if you have any of the specialty restaurants I would appreciate that as well. As always I thank everyone for your responses.

  9. Thank you everyone. It is interesting to hear all the different times people receive them and what has been told to you all. I too was told the tags are sent out on Fridays. I was also asked about online check in. Well, I did our check in long before final payment was even due. So we know it has nothing to do with that. This is the first time ever and I have been cruising with NCL over 20 years. I suppose as long as they come I will be happy.

    Birdtravels it is not about luggage delivery coz I have no idea or would even know if it makes a difference with the tags for delivery. For me it just adds to the excitement of the cruise.

     

    So again I thank everyone. At least I know it was not just me!

  10. I called NCL preconcierge to see if they knew anything. Very helpful. She said they were pending. She told me she sent an email to that department and they are in now in que to be sent out. I should have them within 10 business days. WHAT??? She did say that they would arrive about 14 days before my cruise. I figure if I do not have them by next Wednesday I will call again. That is all I know. Seems like some ships are getting them sooner then others. Which is fine as long as I receive them...

    We are on the next sailing after yours....No tags yet!

     

    Will you please come back and report when you learn something or finally receive them.

     

    Maybe it's a Spirit thing?

    Yes I will. I will also post it in your roll call. I am hoping it is just a Spirit issue. I will be calling them again today.

     

    Funny thing is I booked over a year out. Every year I have received my tags usually 45 -30 days ahead. I got real worried. I know it may not mean a lot to most people but hey it is something I look forward to receiving. It makes the cruise that much closer and more fun for me to get ready. A child at heart and like the small things in life!

  12. I may be wrong - so hopefully someone more the the know will come along shortly - but I do believe I read on here recently that they no longer mail the tags and you have to print them out yourself?

     

    Thank you but I am looking for the time frame of the ones that do get mailed. If you are in a suite they do mail them to you. Unless that has changed too.

  13. Good Morning. I am trying to gauge a time frame for receiving my luggage tags. In the past I thought I had received them about 30-45 days ahead of my cruise. I do know that only suites receive luggage tags and am looking to see if anyone who is traveling soon remembers when they received their tags. I have called a few times and still nothing. I do know I can also print them but am really just looking to know about the ones that get mailed. So, please if anyone has a time frame they can share so I know if I should be worried about not receiving anything I would appreciate it. My cruise is in 24 days and I have not received anything pertaining to this cruise. I did check myncl to be sure everything was still there...

  14. I took pictures of menu's but did not take one of the Cagney's menu. Sorry! I do know they have the crab cake and surf & turf on the menu, since we ordered that the last night of the cruise while dining there for Ethan's 4th birthday. I did see lobster bisque on the menu, but didn't order it.

     

    Thank you so much. The copies of the menus I have seen for the Spirit did not have those items. I am so glad to know they are on the menu. They must have finally changed over to the newer menus. You have just made my day. :D Can't wait for my first nights dinner at Cagney's!!!
