Any hotel recommendations near Miami airport?

Thank you everyone for the replies. I think we are gonna try to find a hotel in Miami. I really do not want to stress out the morning of the cruise. Now any suggestions for a hotel? Seems as though most are triple the normal price or are sold out. I am not familiar with the Miami area. Not sure the areas near the airport. How far is that from the the port? What places would be good? We really just need a comfy bed for the night. No need for nightlife party as we will probably arrive later in the day and will just want to get dinner and sleep.

The Getaway is also doing this beginning of 2025. It is 2 day tour. So not on the ship. The cruise is still just 7 days.

Thank you everyone for the info. Would it make sense to stay either near the Miami airport or stay in Ft Lauderdale? Staying in Ft. Lauderdale I was afraid not getting to the port early in case there were a lot of traffic. Unfortunately I am not real familiar with the Miami area.

Hello all. We are cruising out of Miami March 30, 2025. It has been brought to my attention there is this Ulta Music Festival that weekend. I am not familar with this so I did a search. Oh my the amount of people that will be there is crazy. I am finding sold out hotels in the area we would usually stay or hotel prices that are triple its normal price. Any suggestions on what to do & where to stay? We have almost always stayed at the Hyatt Regency. Downtown hotels. Have always been able to get a room. All the places we know of and locations are booked. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance...

Anyone know who the Concierge is on the Dawn now? Thank you in advance.

Do you have the insurance added to your original booking? Going from a balcony to a suite the insurance is quite a bit more as well. Are you before or after final payment?

That is how we have always received it as well. Although it does not say shrimp cocktail. So I am wondering if we can get it as a shrimp cocktail instead of the shrimp louie?

Was it all mixed in with the thousand island dressing?

Hello. Wondering if anyone has an opinion of the Hyatt Place Downtown vs The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. What if any restaurants are in walking distance. Also the proximity to the the Port of Tampa. Not sure of the differences so any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I am guessing you are staying at the fairly new Hyatt Place Downtown. About 1/2 mile from cruise port. I would love to know what you think and if there are any restaurants near by as we will be staying there next month. We Love the Dawn. Really can't wait to be back on her. Also, if you went to the Meet & Greet they usually have cards that have who the staff members are. Maybe you can let us know. If you did not attend one maybe you know who is Cruise Director, General Manager & Concierge. Also, which terminal in Tampa did you board? Thank you...

If you have a cruise booked you can see the menu for Cagney's. Go to Cagney's click on view menu. I have been able to see all the new menus.

They can keep the foie gras as my DH won't want that...lol Glad to see not on Cagney's menu and the upcharge for crab cakes did go away. I found the menus on the ncl site. We have a cruise booked so when I go to explore dining when you look at the different restaurants there is a link for view menu. They are sample menus but all of them are now updated for 2023. Hmm may have to go to Cagney's 3 times and no LeBistro. lol Thank you everyone.

Just noticed at LeBistro there is now a 10.00 upcharge for the tenderloin. Do you know if that is waived with either dining package SDP or Platinum voucher? Seems strange to have an upcharge as it never has before. Thank you
