These pictures are fantastic. This is the first time I have seen updated pictures of the Spirit suites. Most of what you find is from some time ago. Thank you again. Also did you happen to notice if they have the "new" "new" menus? I know they went to alacarte by using what was the menu with pricing added. I am most interested to know if Cagney's added the crab cakes, lobster bisque and the surf & turf back on the menu.

I was in the same situation and have been watching flights since last year when they were released. It is school recess for schools in our area. I did not think of this when I booked my cruise either. The prices are over the top. In my case a week before or a week after they were less expensive and I did look at going out to different states, dates & airlines. In the end I decided I wanted the cruise that I booked so I just booked my flights as they are continuing to go up and not down. :(:eek::( Good luck finding something.

Well I guess the Spirit does not have the "new" menus. :( They look like the same ones we had with alacarte prices added. :( I was so hoping for some changes that they have on the other ships. Oh well one never knows maybe by April there will be an update on the ships. I have missed the crab cakes, lobster bisque, surf & turf and a few other items. Guess I will still be missing them. lol

Does anyone know if the Spirit is currently using the new menus? Still trying to find out if they have made the changes. Really trying to find out if the crab cakes, lobster bisque, & oyster rockafeller (sp) are back along with a few other favorites. TIA

Certainly can give an opinion. It is interesting though when you read experiences of people and how the views on the various butlers and concierges can vary widely.

 

I'll give the usual caveat many people give that we don't request much and are pretty self sufficient but we do know what perks are available. As far as the concierge Florentina, she is the best we've had. She is a task master and you can tell she enjoys her work.

 

The butlers were Teo and Seka. We had Teo and he did anything we asked (which wasn't much) and he didn't do anything beyond the minimum. We never saw Seka and I was interested if she had any resemblance to the famous actress from the 70's - I'm guessing not.

 

Have a great time on the Spirit - the ship was in great shape when we were on it.

Thank you for your opinion. Hope she will still be on when we cruise. We don't ask for much either. We have had some fantastic concierge's and also butlers so I do have a lot to compare too. Sounds like I shouldn't have high expectations on the butlers. :( That is ok coz we will be on a cruise together and that is all that matters...:D

The concierge is Florentina Popa, Romanian. I heard her over say she's been with NCL for 13 years. We are having lunch and have not met our butler yet. Will keep you posted and snap pictures of menus during the week.

In mid Dec it was Florentina. Teo and Seka were the butlers. I don't recall exact dates but from casual discussion Florentina and Teo were early on in their contracts.

Strang question, but does anyone have a pic of the closet? I'll be in an ocean view and I'm trying to see if I should bring hangers or put things on shelves

I do not have a picture as this will be the first time cruising on the Spirit. I have found on all my other NCL cruises to just ask your room steward nicely for additional hangers and they will bring them. No need to take up extra space in your luggage...

Hoping someone just returning from their cruise has the new menus especially for the specialty restaurants or can remember what was on the menu compared to the Escape menus. I would so appreciate knowing. I was so excited to see the Cagney's menu for the Escape and am really hoping it is the same. Thank you in advance for anyone with the information.

The updated menus should be going fleet wide by the end of the month. There are menus from the Escape that are the newest but on another thread someone said they were a little different. I too am waiting patiently to see the new menus. I hope someone coming back from the Spirit with have the new menus to post.
