For our upcoming cruise it is just before the flight information.
-
What time did you arrive? Could you get into the terminal right away or did you have to wait outside? And about what time did you board? We are on her in a few weeks.

Does the Regal have Starlink?

Great to hear that. Last year on that cruise we had no internet for days on end after we left Sydney (and our stop in Nuuk was canceled due to winds). So it seems better than before.

Plus50: Why does it show blank under Packages?
worldtraveller replied to georgemoe's topic in Princess Cruises
We are in the same boat (our cruise is in October). Guess it will be wait and see if you now have to pay for room service when you are in a suite if you have the old Plus. -
On our outbound flights we always went to the airline website and checked in/printed our boarding passes from there. We have only received emails from Princess/EZ-Air if there was a change. Sorry I can't help on luggage fees.

We are in a suite in October and have Plus but the very OLD Plus and then in March with Plus 50. Hoping room service is still free. In October it is just not worth it for us to pay $40 per day more for room service the few days we would use it. Not interested in the other "benefits" of the new Plus 60.

Princess Plus bought before recent announcements
worldtraveller replied to Marronnier's topic in Princess Cruises
Our cruise in October is the old, old Plus (40) while our cruise in March is old 50. So yes we bought the drink package that was available at the time. -

Guess we will all see as I was told we had to pay. My guess is they really don't know yet. Hopefully someone on a cruise later this month will report in. -

When I did it I didn't actually cancel the old one until I said book on the new; I did have the select my seats all over again but had to go back in because my old seats were still showing as booked until I hit confirm. -

What about if you are in a suite? Do you still have to pay for room service? One of the benefits of a suite is to have items on the MDR menu delivered to your cabin. -
Vista suite guest with Princess Premier-restaurant booking?

How far in advance of the cruise do they contact you about the 360 dining experience and is it always by phone or do they email too? -
I have called and been able to book my first night reservation.

The pizza place by the pool just has pizza, normally two or three kinds max. No waiter service: you stand in line and they serve you a slice or two from which ever one you want. A far as I know there is no custom pizzas made there. Then you take your plate to where you want to eat (or where you can find a place).
-
there are certain items that are only available in the MDR on certain days (Eggs Benedict for one). Here you can get it every day. Also they seem to be very open to special requests (add this, remove that). But I agree that the personalized service is really the main selling point. After a couple of days they know what kind of cold and hot drinks you want, if you always want a plate of fresh fruit, etc. One time I asked about almond croissants as there weren't any on the pastry tray. EVERY day after that they had them for me even if I wasn't in the mood for it!

And they are open 24/7 for specialty coffee unlike the Lido. When we travel I get my mother her first cup of daily Joe so when she starts waking up it is ready for her to sit in bed and sip to fully wake up.

Regal cabin L107 - forward facing balcony - questions
worldtraveller replied to sallybrown2012's topic in Princess Cruises
We were in a similar cabin on M deck in December. Unfortunately it was way too windy to use the balcony except while in port... -
On the Regal in December Alfredos had salad and a few pasta dishes as well as pizza.

Is the upgrade from MS to PS worth it?
worldtraveller replied to boogiedownwanda's topic in Princess Cruises
Many suites have a sofa bed so no rollaway needed but you would need to confirm. Keep in mind tha once the sofa bed is out there isn't room for a rollaway in some cabins.
