If you let them know ahead of time, they will make you pretty much anything you want for breakfast.
We had lobster omelettes topped with avocado every morning. 😬

Thanks very much for the info! 😀

I took a look at the GeoBlue...that looks like it might work. They have an option to purchase for an individual trip. I just need to find out if pre-existing conditions are covered. Thanks for the suggestion.
😀

I am also looking for travel medical only. I would like to purchase the Princess insurance, but the medical benefits are very low, $10,000. Looking for a medical only to supplement the Princess insurance, and was only able to find one, but it was secondary medical coverage with no pre-existing condition waiver available. That makes it pointless.

When we went to Nachi our credit card info was stolen. That was the only place we used the card on the whole cruise week and it was for a massage. This was maybe 8 years ago? We docked in either Galveston or Houston, can't remember which, and while we were driving home, someone was going crazy using our card info to buy stuff. Chase Bank called us and shut down the card while we were driving home.
I would suggest using cash for everything while in ports if you can.

Cruise was to be Alaska 9/6/20. We cancelled 4/8/20 (before Princess cancelled the cruise). Received refund June 30th.
received refund from Alaska Airlines within 5 days of cancelling.
Was approved for a refund from Insure My Trip on 7/2 after providing proof of refund from Princess. Should receive that within 2 weeks.

I have not seen any plan at all put forth for when someone tests positive on a ship. This leads me to believe that there is no plan other than quarantine the whole ship...so we will not be cruising until that changes. Also not until distancing and masks are no longer needed...so likely never cruising again.

That's really too bad. Certainly limits where you can go, huh?
Not where we live. Just won’t go into the city for Costco again. We’ll take vacations where we can drive and rent a house.
Our county has only had 7 virus cases since March. Only one active. The next county over has only had 37 since March, 3 active. Since we are kind of rural, we have been insulated to a lot of it. Never had masks required around here. I still go to work every day. Everyone has their own office.
Just won’t fly or cruise for the immediate future.

What kind of mask were you wearing? We have these soft cottons ones ($25 for 5) with cotton straps not elastic going behind the ears.
Square cotton mask with cotton ties behind ears. It gets too hot and I can’t breath. No oxygen and hot air.
-
I will not be participating in any activity that requires wearing a mask. I simply cannot breath with one on. I tried in Costco...one minute in I was walking around holding my mask stretched out from my face so I could breath.

I was told 60 business days for refund to credit card. 60 business days will be up on July 3. Our cruise was for September for Alaska, we cancelled this cruise in early April. If there is no refund by that date, I will dispute with Chase.
This is similar to another situation...we had a family trip booked for early April that we obviously had to cancel. One of the tour operators we had paid said it would be ONE YEAR before they could refund. Um, no. I got it in writing that they were saying one year, despite their conformation letter saying full refund withing 14 days if cancelled 3 or more days ahead. We met this requirement. Bank refunded to our credit card.

Yes, the TA admitted that it was an error on her part. Can you dispute the charge since you did not authorize it? Might be a quicker way to get your money back.

I was told by Princess that it would be 60 BUSINESS days. I cancelled last week, so that puts us at July 2nd, or so, refund deadline.

I don't see where cruise lines have come up with a plan for the future when someone on board has "flu-like" symptoms. This could be every single cruise. Are they going to go the same route of sailing in circles indefinitely until some port agrees to offload them? Then will all passengers be shipped off to some army base for 2 weeks of quarantine?
I don't know about anyone else, but if that is still the plan, I am not cruising. I can't take a week's vacation turning into God knows how many weeks of quarantine.
We are going to cancel out September Alaska cruise because of this.

Honestly, I have no desire to cruise on a ship that was recently used as a floating hospital.
no thanks.

I have a family member who is a cruise planner for Princess...please be nice. It’s not their fault and they really want to help. 😊

Memories...
A few years ago, I took my six-year-old grandson to an amusement park
in the middle of summer.
Whilst waiting in the queue for one of the rides,
I looked down to see him (bored) running his tongue down the railing.
Update... fortunately he is still very healthy.
OMG I would have been mortified to see that!!! LOL!!!

Since most of this discussion is about how to clean your hands onboard, I figured you were advocating that product for such use.
Sorry, I was just thinking of killing germs in general.

Umm....those are for wiping down contaminated surfaces. From their website:
PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS Caution. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum or using tobacco.
Personal protection: Clean-up must always be done wearing protective gloves, gowns, masks and eye protection.
I have yet to have any reaction to using these. I wipe down shopping carts and anything I have to use that the general public has touched. No respiratory infections or gastro sickness since I started using them 2 years ago. I don't use them to wipe my hands, I wipe surfaces with them.
I use Germstar Noro spray for hands.

We never cruise when kids are out of school. Perhaps a longer cruise, 10 day or longer on a more luxury line would probably reduce the number of kids.
Doesn’t Virgin do adults only cruises? Maybe look into them...I keep meaning to! 😬

If the ships do not have a scrubber, the new sulphur content rules for fuel started 1/1/20. This reduces the allowable sulphur content in bunker fuel.

Website Booking errors - Princess

As of Friday, I know they were still having website issues regarding pricing. All is ok on their side when looking at cruisses and pricing, there is a glitch on the customer web page.
