I found the same. I was trying to book two guests in Club Class on Sappire for 2019 and it was showing as sold iut. However, we when I entered 1,3 or 4 guests it showed ad 13 cabins available. TA queried this and apparently it is a "system error" and a double cabin is available. On line however it cannot be done at present. Would mention that we are in UK.

Having just done b2b cruises from Southampton in May, can definitely say that at least 750th /80% of passengers adhered to the recommended dress code on most nights. In fact a lot of the ladies and sometimes the gents, dressed smartly for dinner each night. I did hear many comments from officers and staff " we always find the dress code changes she. we sail from U.K. Possibly as mentioned, the majority of passengersget are from U.K.
However, saying that, the dress code is not mandatory, and many passengers looked fine in smart casual every night. Just our findings having sailed predominately ex Southampton for last 4 years.

No dont think so. Cannot be used retrospectively. Can bolt on be applied at time of new booking.
If things have changed, I'm sure someone will post to clarify.

Exactly the same reason as us. That is why we haven't been drawn into the £1 deposit offer. Like you we have a FCD which we can use and also the mini suites we book are over £800 p.p dearer than we paid for the same cruise this year. The present 3 for free comes to an end on 2 July, and we find the basic fare then drops more than the benefit gained of the 3 for free. Also there is usually an obc offer alongside.Did not really apply to us because we paid £75pp for a FCD so that would be automatically used as our deposit and also for the fact that the prices of cruises for the UK in 2019 are very high and will wait for the price to come down as they usually do closer to the date. Unfortunately I do not think Princess honour new (lower) prices in the UK like they do in US anymore like they have in the past.Sent from my SM-A520F using Forums mobile app

Tried to book a cabin for two on Sapphire Princess under £1 deposit offer today for 27 July 2019. Club Class cabins came up as "sold out" However, when entering 1 3 or 4 guests, over 10 club class cabins were available. Any thoughts?

That's why we didn't book with the £1 deposit. We are not interested in the 3 for free either, for the same reasons as you. A fare drop, along with additional obc, is much more acceptable to us.3 for free! 1. A bottle of plonk. 2. A speciality restaurant of their choosing at a time they decide. 3. $100 credit for a shore excursion - we don’t do ship tours!Give me a decent price drop or obc any day.:')
Forgot to add, the 3 for free wasn’t available on one of the cruises we booked.

Trouble is if you cancel and rebook, along with losing your £1 deposit, you also lose any offer I.e the 3 for free which is presently being offered. You need to weigh that up against the price drop, along with any other benefit bring given with the new price.

In Gibraltar today - very warm and little humid. Walked into town and back. So far had a wonderful cruise. Officers and crew very welcoming and always cheerful. Seems a very happy ship. We have Club Class dining and this had been absolutely first class from Christi and Mark our Head Waiters, to Jeffrey and Marie our servers. Vicktoria the door hostess always had such a cheery greeting for arriving passengers.
Needless to say, they have had wonderful leadership from Generoso and Godwin (the Dream Team).
Sanctuary staff go above and beyond their duty to look after you also.
Two days at sea now so hoping for a smooth ride off Portugal and across The Bay.

Quite a few unhappy passengers (mainly men) as Sapphire Princess cruise director announced last night that they won't be showing the Cup Final live today!! They will however have full coverage of the Royal Wedding on Big Screen and in cabin t.v 's. I'm sure some wives are happy.

Was just going to post same message. We are in UK and getting same. Seems only to be the Royal,as Sapphire seems to be ok. Even 2xcruises are saying "too close to departure" !!!Anyone else having issues on the Princess site today? I'm trying to book for Royal Princess but every sailing has either "Pricing Unavailable" or "Voyage Too Close To Departure" (even for 2019 sailings....Sent from my SM-A520F using Forums mobile app

Hello' date='
I'm looking at this ship for a possible Norwegian Fjords 2019 cruise. I see in the exterior images that some balconies are exposed at least partially and can be viewed from other balconies in above decks. We're interested in penthouse suites (midship), or owner or grand suite (aft only). The GS and OS are just below the terrace pool, which I'm not sure would equal a noise problem in our room or balcony as well. And will it be too easy for us to see in others' balconies when we're out on ours just trying to enjoy the sea or port views? I am a little on the fence with aft also because I'm concerned about feeling the ship move much more vs mid-ship.
I asked a similar question a few months ago with no bites, hoping someone who's been in these suites can let me know. Thanks :-)[/quote']Haven't travelled in the OS or GS suites but have done the aft Penthouse which do experience more movement than midship. Also there is considerable wake noise when sitting on the balcony which stops clear conversation..Personally I think the Sapphire midship Penthouse suites are far better. They are on Caribe Deck which has the extra depth balconies on the grand class ships. They are half open and half covered. Also you get double width with the two sets of patio doors. I would take one of those with a heartbeat.
Hope this helps.[emoji2] [emoji2]

I am of the opinion it never hurts to ask!! Sometimes depends on whether you have passed final payment date. I did ask about a paid for upgrade a few years back from a mini suite to suite as the price had just dropped. Came back with the answer "they would charge the suite at the price it was when original booking was made!! May have different rules now, as goalposts seem to move all the time.I paid a reduced deposit but have $500 of onboard credit, $400 of which I would lose so will stick where I am for now. I am tempted to try and phone again not for a price reduction to the new price but to upgrade and pay a bit more for amini suite, not sure if they would allow that.Sent from my SM-A520F using Forums mobile app

Have had the same reply a couple of times. Only way to get a second priqce drop is cancel and rebook, thereby losing your deposit plus any benefits attached to previous booking. Unless you've paid a reduced deposit, then the losses often outweigh any new price drop

I noticed the same. Thought I was just being thick. Has always been an option to opt in/out for as long as I can remember. The default rate I presume is for Princess to use their rate. Will defo change to my bank option when on board and enquire this why this choice has been removed. Won't hold my breath for a straight answer!!!

I think whoever is doing the PR for Princess at the moment needs to take a step backwards as if this comes to fruition, it really would be the "straw that breaks the camel's back'. The recent dilution of the hard earned perks, does not sit well with us.
