  1. Hi all,

If you received a Classic Beverage Package as a result of 123go, Pick Your Perk, or any other offer – you will still be eligible to upgrade to the Premium Beverage Package for $10 per day (+18% gratuity) pre-cruise or onboard.

In addition, if you have purchased the Classic Beverage Package for $49, then when the new pricing goes into effect, the cost to upgrade to the Premium Beverage Package will be $16 per day (+18% gratuity) pre-cruise or onboard.

If you have any questions about this change, please feel free to call Celebrity at 1-844-418-6824.

    To the "Celebrity Cruises" official,

Please send this information to every ship in Celebrity's fleet, so we guests are not overwhelming Guest Relations on every sailing having to argue about what the upgrade price should be.

    Thank-you

  2. Pan Pacific is a great, but expensive hotel duing the cruise season. The Fairmont Waterfront hotel is right across the street from Pan Pacific and is equally a very nice hotel. You can't go wrong on either hotel. Both will be expensive but probably less expensive than a sea and stay price.

  3. Killington,

We have been on decks 7, 8 and 9 on Connie's sister ships in C1 aft, and the balconies are HUGE. You can't go wrong with any of those staterooms. We've also been on deck 9 twice on Infinity and noise was not any kind of problem. In fact, we are on deck 9 (9162) on Millie next July.

  4. Thanks Mapleleaves, you are a wealth of information on Alaska.

I have looked at both Grand Denali Lodge and Denali Park Village websites and it looks as if both provide a shuttle to WAC. If we stay at either of those sites, we should be good to go. We were planning on taking snacks and water, but a sandwich or boxed lunch might be even better. I bet even Subway prices are higher in Alaska than what we pay at home? Also, thanks for the link to the map.

  5. lovetotraveltx,

We are doing the 5B tour just as you are. Why would we want to pay to upgrade to the TWT when we could book the park shuttle for less than half the cost and go much further into Denali? I'm trying to find out if Celebrity will refund the cost of the NHT. If so, we've saved even more money.

    Mapleleaves,

Thanks for the info. We could easily do the 30-40 minute walk. I'm just wondering if the place where we will be staying will offer a shuttle service to the WAC. We are ready to purchase our park shuttle tickets as soon as we have more information on where we will be staying, and yes, we will have our tickets purchased long before we arrive in Denali.

  6. Some of you folks know Alaska so well, I need your help. My DW and I will be doing a 5 night Celebrity cruise tour next July and will be in Denali for 2 nights. The NHT is part of our cruise tour package and I know it is worthless. Therefore, we want to book a park shuttle to Eielson Visitor Center or maybe to Wonder Lake. My question is how could we get from Denali to the WAC to catch the shuttle bus? Is there any transportation available?

  7. If you only go around on the deck, I believe it is about 16 laps/mile. There is a sign on the deck that will give you the info for laps/mile. If you also use the stairs with your laps, which I do, I think I calculated it was 10 or 12 laps. Hope this helps.

  8. Excuse me Celebrity,

I e-mailed the web issues site on June 12, 2015 about the "My Celebrity" issues and I'm still waiting for a response. I included all the pertinent details and even included the URL of my reservation. It's been 2 1/2 months with no response.

  9. So I assume we remove anything that is essential from our airline checked bags at the hotel in Anchorage, and live out of our carry on bags for the 5 night cruise tour? Our carry on bags are the airline standard of 20 (DW's) and 22 inch bag for me. Did you carry passports, currency, and any other personal items with you at all times, like in a backpack or something similar?

  10. Melinda,

Thanks for the information. Looks like you and your family had a great time.

I have a couplle of questions regarding luggage:

I presume you removed the essential items from your checked bags and the checked bags are the ones you didn't see until you got to Seward? Also, how large of bags did you carry with you on the train and on the bus?

  11. Not sure why that happened. Perhaps you can try by doing the following.

Go directly to Celebrity "home page". Roll down to the bottom and you will see "Customer Support" under that section is the link "FAQs", click on that. You should be redirected to the FAQ page. You should see three images toward the top of the page titled "Pre-Cruise", "During Your Cruise" and "Post Cruise". Now that you know you are on the correct page roll down a bit and you will see the heading "What is a Cruise Critic Connections party and how do I register?" and look for the link in that section. Try it from there. Not sure what there is a certain browser that might work for some, but not others. Somehow other major on-line sites do not have any of these issues.

I know how frustrating this can be, I wish you success.

If this is working for you, try checking July 10, 2015 on Millennium and see what happens.

    Thanks
