  1. we are regular Princess cruisers going on family cruise on Liberty of Seas over New Years.

My question is can I get cash billed to my cabin card at the tables with no fee like we do on princess??

    Thanks

  2. [quote name=luckyinpa;53733261}...

now i'm still trying to figure out why lido minis are cheaper than other parts of the ship' date=' given all this research i've been doing. they have to be less desirable for some reason.[/quote]

Yes, Prices for rooms by category are different based on location! Middle floors in middle of ship are most desired (higher priced) because those cabins have the least ship movement. As you go forward or aft or higher you get more ship movement thus lesser cost!

    Hope that helps.

  3. We try to get this cabin whenever we can, BUT to be honest there was a late nite party on lido that did keep me up with noise one night. However it was only once in over four different cruises that they had a late nite party 🎉 on that part of lido deck. Good luck, to us it is still worth getting.....wife takes sleeping pills = no noise

  4. We are on that cruise but have booked our excursion (full) but on the roll call(s) there are others posting recently looking for people to join , check there.

Note look at several different roll calls they over lap (21 day--14 day)

    Look at

    aug 19

    Aug 26

    Sept 2

    Good luck...see you on board

There are meet and greets set up for each week.

    Harry and irene

  5. There are more time slots then those listed on the pre booking list. you can book as early as 5:30 once on board, you can book at 6:00 or 6:30 or whatever you want PROVIDEd it is available. We have been shut out completely (unless you call 9:30 a good time) for certain days because we were too late even trying on the first day.

  6. I just got email from my TA with the change to another cruise offer.

note: we are traveling with another couple who booked direct with Princess and they did not get ANY offer.

Our rooms are side by side ( they are Elite and we are not)

will call TA back this morning, we are not changing cruises but will inquire about downgrading offer to inside,

Issues to ask, what happens to my present $1100 in OBC, that answer will make my decision. inside room location also an issue to be considered.

  7. Did a VIP cruise this past November, had a great time. Yes the person joining you in your cabin gets the drinks on us lanyard and also gets their name in on the raffle wheel. Raffles twice a day, have to be present to win, and only 39 VIPs on our cruise. I got the offer again last month but have 5 weeks booked already with other family members and can't squeeze one of these new VIPs in. I hate myself!!

  9. can I ask where would a good place to sit and have drinks and enjoy the sunset?

We will be in Aruba on March 1st until 10:00PM

Mitsugirly thanks for starting this tread, and we also enjoy all your reviews

  10. Recalled the last time Princess had this $1 deposit day....many made reservations on several cruises with intent to make final choice of 1 of those reserved. Just bought time in decision process. Many people were upset with themselves for not booking any or even more cruises. Just reminding those who forgot.

  11. I would NOT say so.

The one Princess gives THROUGH travel agents is different than the one that Princess gives out to every passenger in their cabins.

The travel agent coupon book includes a free bottle of wine with purchase of dinner at a specialty restaurtant such as Sabatini's, Crown Grill etc.

It also includes a Buy One Get One Free glass of house wine and Buy One Get One Free Cocktails. Also a coupon for an extra 10% off from the onboard shops/boutiques, NO minimum purchase. This extra 10% off CAN be combined with the Elite 10% off and with other onboard promotions. Also a coupon for a Buy One Get One Free Photo from the photo gallery. It also includes other %/$ off coupons from the SPA if that is your thing. Also, some may find useful a Buy One Get One Free Slot or Poker Tournament entry.

Unlike the regular Princess coupon/booklet, to get these discounts, you MUST present the travel agent coupon/booklet.

I have one of the travel agent coupon books in my hand from my cruise ended last week.

I wouldn't call it exactly worthless.

I agree, TA book not totally worthless, we always use the free wine coupon in the Crown grill, and other coupons on occasion, last cruise used free buy one get one black jack tourney coupon and won tournament, $$$. That probably won't happen again!! But it happened!

Note: the other coupon book IS used as a coaster.

  12. If you're getting $500 OBC from Princess and it beats a TA you should be looking for a new TA real soon.

Your TA is overcharging you. Shop around & I'm sure you can do much better.

    Agree totally.

we used to book with big TA's and then direct, then talked to others and found out small independent Cruise specialty TA's give us the best rates and perks, far surpassing whatever we got from Princess or the "big" TA's.

Even now, sometimes we book with Princess directly when we get a "targeted" offer and then transfer it to our TA, who enhances what ever the targeted offer had provided. Just do your homework and you will be fine. it may take some time but the good TA's are out there.

  13. note regarding Mr. Sanchez, you have a choice... all inclusive or pay as you go.

We will be there in Nov. and again in Feb.

We were there last Feb and had reservations for the Crab Shack on the Regal that nite, We got back to ship and immediately canceled reservation, there was no way any of us could eat anymore (for awhile anyway, LOL).

  14. Am I missing something? If I buy casino credits before the cruise, they get charged to my credit card and I spend the casino money on the ship. If I do not do that, I just spend the money on the ship. It still comes out of my account and I still pay with a credit card. What is the difference? I am probably talking about only spending $200 to $300, not thousands.

Your not missing anything.....most of the people who buy casino credits (like myself) do it because we like to gamble and for various reasons ( mine being I may be already on vacation before I get to my cruise) need more cash to gamble with than they normally carry. For us we buy (purchase) casino credits, which we will get in some form ( I guess it changes by ship) when we get on board. We take those credits to the casino and they give you cash to gamble with, or you go the table and say"... I want $1000, or whatever amount you want" they give something to sign, which charges your room acct where your credits are and they give you $1000 in chips. You can do this even if you did not buy casino credits. You basically bought chips that will be on your credit card. What you do with the chips is your discretion. They want you to gamble, I believe, that is why they are trying to make it easy. If you play the machines, slots, poker table, you insert your card and enter how much you want charged to your room account, limit is $300 at a time with daily max of ( I see stated above) is now $3000. Hope this helps, hope Lady Luck smiles on you.
