What a bummer. It looks like the Sunshine has an AWESOME Serenity area....as we spend most of our time in kid free or at least limited zones (Serenity, Spa, etc) I"m tempted to book on the Sunshine..anyone have any opinion on the Serenity deck Dream vs Sunshine?
There's more privacy and it's quieter on the Dream with it being all the way to the front.
But you can't beat the pool and waterfall on the Sunshine. Midship may not be the most serene area for Serenity on the Sunshine
My vote would be for the Sunshine

So where are a few places you would recommend for Key Lime pie?
I've been to KW one other time and I recommend a good spot to visit for a photo op is the Southern most point of Continental US
Definitely go to Kermits Key Lime shop for Key Lime Pie

Hit up Pier 424 on Bourbon Street for dinner, Cafe DuMonde is a must, Tropical Isle for a Hand Grenade, Mothers for a Poboy...I could go on and on.
New Orleans is my favorite city

We are going in June and usually go to Nachi. Service was a little off the last couple of times we went, so DH wants to try Mr. Sanchos. What's the best way to make reservations? TIA
Sol y Mar
For Sanchos we always book directly through their website http://www.mrsanchos.com

Nope. We were informed of this when we paid our $3.00 at the bar when we got our first drink.
And I stayed at the pool all day...no water toys.
So I guess it just depends who ya are. I would still go back there again depending on the group I was traveling with. But it would take a lot for me to bypass Mr. Sanchos

Unless something has changed, I believe they ask each adult to spend $10 on food/drink - not $20
Everyone in our group was asked to pay $20.00 fee for food and drink

I would like to check it out. Where is it?
I was a little off on the name...it's called Shrimp and Stuff. It's at 39th Boulevard and O Ave

Take a look at my signature [emoji846] I haven't found the need to cruise with anyone else. If it's not broke...why fix it. I love Carnival...the ships, the crew, the new friends you meet, the ports.

Carnival sells all the bedding. It's called the Carnival Comfort Collection. Just do a search and you'll find the site online

Inside, Oceanview, and Balcony cabins are 185 square foot.
Some Oceanview cabins are 220 square foot.
Balconies are 35 square foot

In January on the Breeze we got the nightlight. It is definitely one of the better gifts that I have received in quite some time....very useful

Going to Key West for 5 days in July we will be renting a car from Sunshine Scooters. We've rented from them in the past and we always have a great time

In January we were there when there were 6 ships in port and it still didn't seem crowded at all.
With only 4 ships you'll be good. I would recommend making your reservation ahead of time

If you're not looking for the all-Inclusive then I would go to Paradise Beach. $3.00 per person to get in with a lounge chair. Paradise Beach ask that you do $20.00 in food and drink which isn't hard to do

Definitely Mr. Sanchos. Drinks flow freely and the food is good. The guys who work there are very nice.
Going back again next month

Thank you for the replies. DH has mobility/breathing issues and can't walk too far but loves to cruise. :)
I always use the pedicab in Cozumel. As soon as you get off the ship there may be some there if not just wait until one returns.
I have knee problems. I will tip $5.00

We are cruising next month out of Galveston. Our cruise leaves on Monday. We fly in late Saturday night so we are staying by the airport then the next morning I am going back to the airport to pick up a rental car from Budget Rental car.
I will pick up Sunday morning and drop off Monday morning before the cruise. The Budget is located in Texas City so after I drop the car off I will use Uber to get to the port.
My rental car for the one day is a full size SUV for $51.00.

Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, and the Hilton at the Riverwalk are all very close to the port

In January we cruised on the Breeze and we stayed in Texas City at the Comfort Inn because the hotels were so expensive in Galveston.
The morning of the cruise we got Uber to pick up at our hotel and take us to the port in Galveston. The ride for 4 people was $19.00.
Definitely way cheaper than a taxi would've been

That is not at all correct. In most instances the extra OBC that is coming from the TA is coming from a group amenity or perk.
If a client is booked into a group the commission isn't affected by the OBC.
