Princess cannot override any country's decision .... including Morocco. IMHO the OP needs to book a land trip. Just fly in, handle your luggage, book a hotel, and hire drivers. It's not hard

Is it necessary to be so rude? OP is just stating her opinion which, believe it or not, she’s entitled to.

I think people here are very cruel. To OP, the highlight is Casablanca. He tried several times but failed. Sure the previous failed attempt was not Princess's fault. But, it is important to OP. Right or wrong, I would like to think people should have more empathy than being so cynical and emotionless. Cruel lots you are.

The second point is, OP is entitled to his own opinion. Obviously there are quite few disappointment OP experienced. I can not stand with one of the Princess fan, post number 10 I am referring to, the rudest poster I have ever seen on this forum, simply accusing the OP is writing '****' yet could not offer any counter points or point out which part is not right. Several other people have posted later, saying indeed the internet did not work, Medallion did not work. So where is post number 10 author now? Would he care come to explain and apologise? No, nowhere to be seen. And so are the 9 people liked the post and 6 other people think it is a great post. You are all cruel keyboard w*****.

I totally understand there are rules to follow on this forum. So please excuse my language on calling some of the poster bad names. Yet somehow these posters I mentioned above can get away shame other poster as '****' spiller, then please allow me to express my opinion that these posters need to respect others a little bit more. Maybe OP did not say things you would like to hear, or his opinion may be contradict to yours. But it is not right of you calling the article bulls yet do not offer any contents to counter the points. And shame on the 15 posters liked that post. You lot just like the cheap thrill of some random Princess fan to attack the OP. Disgusting behaviour you lot.

It is very natural each passenger have different feelings after the same cruise. We should welcome every opinion whether you like it or not. You did not feel the same way does not mean the OP is not right. No ship company can please everyone. The importance is to learn from each other's experience and feelings, so one can come to their own decision. It is perfectly OK for you to feel everyone is 100% right, and it is perfectly OK for OP to feel everything is against him. We are humans. We feel differently. We are happy for different things. Why should I teach you this? You suppose to know and respect others.

Also I totally get why OP is upset. He is not upsetting he missed Casablanca. He was upset that the shipping company and the ship's master could not communicate with the passengers early enough in a proper manner regarding the cancellation. Some passengers have the concern as they kind of follow the Moroccan guidelines and sees little chance of the ship's acceptance by local authorities even before departure. Princess as a shipping company supposedly to know this at least few days in advance after talking to the port agent. OP was in the navy and knows how things works. And he also expect the mariner/masters of the ship should follow follow mariner's protocol in communication. The ship failed. The captain failed. There is no excuse from a mariner's point of view. OP has a legit complain.

Peace to everyone. Maybe next time you try to understand the exact point of the poster before calling the bulls?

Thank you for your post.  Everyone will have a different opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs.  I’ve heard a few complaints about this particular cruise and they are all sound legitimate. I try to never discount someone else’s experience even if it’s different from mine.  I was supposed to be on the same cruise, but my flight was cancelled and I missed the cruise.  I’m now very happy I did as I would have been extremely disappointed to miss Morocco and would have been miserable without internet and an App that didn’t work.  I’ve also heard a number of complaints about how passengers with Covid were treated, and frankly that’s not acceptable.  I hope Princess does a better job in the future by addressing these issues.

No...no point in trying to catch up in the Azores.  That's a third of the cruise gone!  6 sea days...and I REALLY like sea days.  (And I really don't think I could swing a helicopter transfer from Fort Lauderdale! 😄)  No, we were able to cancel late last night so we will just get something else booked really soon.  It won't be the same as a TA...but any day on a ship is better than a day NOT on a ship, right?

You were lucky, my TA and I tried for hours to get through to Princess to cancel with no luck.  I don’t know what happens now, but as others have not so politely pointed out, there are worse things going on in the world than me missing a cruise.

  4. If I ever ditch Princess for another cruise line it will be due to the Ocean Medallion App.  They were never able to get it working on my October cruise, and now it freezes every time I try to use it.  I’ve deleted and downloaded the app so many times I’ve lost count.  I’ve tried call and emailing to no avail.  Ok, griping over. Happy New Year!

  5. You may get the correct coupon book or you may not.

As for the fine blend of seven(?) cheeses in Velveeta, you would only find the highest and most consistent quality.

Think spotted dick for the American palate.

    What’s wrong with Spotted Dick?

  6. From Central Ohio, we are cheering for the Blue Jackets. They are now 1-0 in their playoff series versus the top-ranked Washington Capitals. Go CBJ!

  7. Lots of self righteous folks commenting:cool::cool::eek::rolleyes:

It makes them feel better about themselves to makes others feel less than so they can feel greater than.

If a person doesn’t want criticism then don’t announce that you intend to cheat the system. It’s what ruins it for everyone else.

  8. I don’t think that’s a fair comparison and to be honest I’m a little upset at all the insinuations of being a thief, criminal, immoral and dishonest. Quite harsh considering none of you know me and I was simply asking the question.

    ...

If I’m buying an all inclusive package of course I understand that the seller would put a no sharing rule onto it. But if I’m pre-purchasing 15 drinks and then it runs out once that limit is reached I don’t see what difference it makes if I buy a round of drinks for 15 strangers at the bar as I’ve paid for 15 drinks and no more so who I give them to is nobodies business. It’s not like I could buy another round of 15 drinks and another and another with this package. I can only consume what I’ve pre-purchased.

Because the rules state otherwise, and intentionally breaking the rules is cheating.

  9. In San Pedro on the Ruby in November, first elite, then platinum, then BVE and then full suite and Club Class passengers were called for priority check in. I don’t know what boarding group the full suite and CC passengers were given. There were three elite boarding groups. Platinum passengers were allowed into the lounge to get snacks and drinks but then had to leave and sit in their separate area.

The one time we were in a suite before we became elite was in Seattle and we boarded with the rest of the platinum passengers. That was an Alaskan cruise and there were only about 60 elite passengers who boarded first before our platinum group.

We travel in suites (mostly window suites) and have always boarded with elites.

  10. I am not one that spends a lot onboard. Don't drink coffee or wine. Just give me the money off the cruise up front. Let me choose how to spend it how I want.

That’s fine, it’s your preference. I’d rather have spending money on the ship. That’s why my TA works well for me.

  11. If a travel agent "gifts" me a specialty dinner or a spa treatment, does it show up as just a miscellaneous on-board credit that I can use as I choose, or is it tied to the specialty restaurant, spa or whatever and can't be reallocated?

For me I usually get a card saying what it’s for, spa treatment, etc., but it shows up as a credit on my account. The bottle of wine is usually a dollar amount and I can buy any priced wine I want. Coffee cards, of course, are coffee cards.

  12. Hi! I see quite a few people saying that essentially, YOU are paying for the gifts... That's NOT true. The price you pay booking your cruise with a travel agent is the same as you would pay booking directly. Travel agents dont mark up the cruise price on you just because they are servicing the booking. Yes, they receive a commission from the cruise line, but this does NOT affect your cruise fare. A travel agent can keep all of the commission for themselves and it would be okay, but instead, many travel agents (including me), take a part of the paycheck to buy a gift as a "thank you" to clients. Its the same way everyone else takes money out of their paycheck to buy a birthday or christmas gift for friends and family. If you find a travel agent who really treats you like friends or family and is willing to take less pay just to make sure you feel welcome or special or appreciated, then I would stick to that travel agent because I know he/she will always have my best interest in mind, not just their pocket.

    Thank you!

  13. Exactly. You're paying for those "gifts." My TA gives me really great prices which I'd rather have than a bottle of wine which I would give away anyway.

So you get it back in gifts or you get in back in reduced fare. What’s the difference in the end.
