Technically your S&S account isn't activated until you board the ship but the other info will be in My Cruise Manager.
-
If you use Carnival's shuttle to the airport they say not to book earlier than 12:50 pm so you should be OK.
-
If you spend less than the hold amount it will be released. We've never used cash deposits but I think you have to choose either cash or credit. If you use up the cash you can add more or add a credit card.

We were on 2 recent 14 day Journeys cruises. The website and documents said 8:15 but when we got our S&S cards they said 7:45 both times and that was the correct time so it's probably 5:30 for early seating.

Hi! We are sailing on 9/28, and I'm driving everyone crazy. I've even started packing! I bought the special tag holders from Amazon, as well as the cutest regular luggage tags I've ever seen! These will be going on our new luggage that we bought last month. I have located some lanyards, but it hit me, we will need the clear plastic sleeves! I was hoping someone could tell me if the Sign and Sail cards are the size of a credit card or if they are larger, so I can get the right ones.
Thank you!!!
As noted above they are pre-punched. Currently Carnival does not charge for this. The cards also fit conveniently in a pocket purse or fanny pack - no lanyard required.

This reminds me of a post several years ago, from someone who wanted to know if he could bring his catch back to the ship and have the galley prepare it especially for him and serve it in the MDR.
-
They are officially called "Journeys" cruises as in plural, not singular or possessive.
-
The letter seems clear to me and will probably be sent to every passenger. I'm not sure what your question is.
-
The lines for pizza have gotten noticeably longer, so I don't think they pre-make as many as they used to.
-
The deck plan on the Carnival web site will allow you to click on your cabin and show you a typical layout.
-
As long as it is in factory sealed containers, that can't be emptied and filled with alcohol, you should be OK.

We have an 11:56am return flight from FLL. Have FTTF and bought Carnival transfers to FLL. Should I worry that is too early a departure?
If your ship returns to Ft. Lauderdale, it's probably not a problem, since the port is close to the airport. From Miami it's another story.

We have always purchased the carnival transport and went straight to the airport from the cruise ship. This has lead to sitting in the Miami airport for more hours than I'd like to think about. There will only be 2 of us on my upcoming trip and I was wondering if we could fill that time with some last minute fun before flying home. Our flight is at 2:25 out of MIA and our departure from the ship is scheduled to start at 8am. Anyone have any ideas or experience? Carnival offers 2 excursions, the everglades tour or south beach tour. I wouldn't be opposed to either.
You could hang around the ship until "last call". 2:25 is not that bad, considering they want you their 2 hours before, but you can also buy airline lounge passes where it's usually quiet and there's free food and drinks.

What did you do with your luggage??
We wheeled it to the other ship. It was a very short walk since the ships were docked next to each other. If you need help they will help you.

Will be installed when she goes thru conversion to become the Radiance.
We had them on Sunrise after the conversion from Triumph. Two on the headboard and two on the desk.

So, here's the deal. We have a chance to do a quick, weekend getaway in late October. There's a 3 nighter, from Canaveral, on the Liberty. I know these short sailings have a rep as being nothing but "booze cruises", but are they? It's not a holiday, or a big school break time. Anyone with experience on these (especially Florida based) weekend cruises, we'd love to hear your experiences. By no means are we prudes / grumpy old folk.....but not necessarily interested in a 3 day drunken brawl, either.
Thanks!
If it's on or around Halloween it will be loud and crazy. We had a group partying in the hallway at 2am on on a Halloween cruise who couldn't understand why we called security.

You should check your cruise manager to find out what time the ship is scheduled to leave and then double check your spa time. The drill has to be completed before the ship can sail and everyone has to participate, so i don't think they would schedule you between 3 & 4 when the drill usually occurs for a 4:00 sailing.

So the current platinum gift is a lanyard? ☹️
Yes, it is. We returned ours to guest services last time, since we don't do lanyards. Found out later that others list them on eBay.
-
And even if you have access to the terminal, don't expect them to allow you to check in earlier than your arrival appointment time slot.
-
Throw a dart. It just doesn't matter.
-
You don't need FTTF. Yes, you can do "self-assist debarkation" if you are carrying off everything you brought with you. They will call you by deck after the ship is cleared and after the diamond and platinum self-assists. The time varies based on what time the ship actually docks and is cleared by customs.
-
After you complete online checkin for everyone in your cabin you can print your boarding pass & it will say platinum in the upper right corner next to your VIFP number.
-
We did this at Port Canaveral. Tell Carnival what you're doing before you leave and confirm it with guest services after you board. Along with another couple we personally escorted off the ship, after all of the passengers, and walked over to the other ship where we were among the first to board. I would skip the ride to save a few bucks on the wine and enjoy the VIP treatment to its fullest.

Don't know the answer, but if it was me, I would print the boarding passes just in case the phone gets lost or damaged or the battery dies. And you still have to print the luggage tags, unless you want to carry on all your luggage or have the porter tag them at the curb. Those are the only 2 documents you have to print.

Carnival Sunrise POSITIVE reviews
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
We were on the Sunrise for 14 days and we had a wonderful time. Yes, there are lines for food, but not unbearable. We can't say enough good things about the Fun Squad and Entertainers, many of whom we got to know quite well. Sailing from Manhattan for the first time should be on everyone's bucket list. And no, not everyone on the ship was from New York.
