  1. Wondering if the Promenade (or other) deck is marked with signs stating distane around the ship? I like to walk about 5 miles a day (don’t like the tracks, if there is one). Prefer to walk the deck. If you have any info it would be greatly appreciated, we board Saturday in Rome. Thank you in advance.

Yes it is marked but I cannot remember how many times around is a mile. Dang. Enjoy your cruise

  2. We found that it worked good on our Feb. cruise. No need to pack around the daily Patters. You can select your events online. It was great to check show or event times. It was a little unhandy not getting messages but I checked every so often and made do. I am sure it will continue to improve.

  3. This was at the coffee bar next to the international cafe. It was always free in the buffet and the dining rooms. I love my cookies and milk!!

Good to know. My friend likes milk with breakfast. I think she should be fine. I had an old coffee card on our recent Crown cruise. I would get a specialty for myself and a fresh brew for my husband. Sometimes they punched for the fresh brew and sometimes not. Very inconsistent.

  4. We recently had one on the Royal. Did yours involve a doll?

Did they make to sign a disclaimer prior to beginning the event?

Did they mention not videoing or recording the game?

They only held ours on a port day to reduce the number of people being able to sign up and only once per cruise.

I do hope they change the scenario so it'll be fresh next season.

Ours on the crown involved a doll and vase. Yes we signed a disclaimer. We were on an 8 day and it was held on the 2nd sea day and first excursion day.

  5. We purchased the package last year at the sale price of $99. It was offered in Jan/Feb of 2017 at that low price. We enjoyed the special and brought home lots of pics. This year it was at $199. Instead I purchased the $40 embarkation package. I was not pleased with these but there were no exchanges so I brought them home with one other formal pic. The lighting seemed off in our dining room pics so I didn’t buy those and the port pics were ok. We did do a girls only (no hubbys) pic and that was fun. It’s a shame they print all those pics and a lot get destroyed.

  6. Little off topic but do they have draft beer? If so could anyone comment on type/brands and cost. I am a big draught lover.

We recently had draft beer at the Pub Lunch in the Wheelhouse Bar. It was an English brand I believe.

  7. We finished an 8 day ABC cruise on the Crown. When I asked a bartender about the happy hour buy 1 get one $1 I was told it was not on our ship this time. When I questioned him more was told it was available on certain ships - but not our sailing. Booo!! Not the answer I was looking for. We did survive and drank plenty! Lol!

  8. Bon Voyage for Friday! I wish I was going too. It hasn't been a month yet (close) since we stepped off the ship but it seems like so long ago. If I didn't have these photos and the review it could get lost in the everyday humdrum stuff that life is more full of. No two days the same on a cruise and I can't say that about each day since. But that's life!

I have a boatload of Crown pics to show you but you will see her for yourself soon.

Catch up when you return and thanks for reading along this far.

    Have an amazing cruise!

Thank you! I wish you were on our cruise too! You have quite an audience sailing the crown on Fri. I hope you have an Amazing Birthday!!! Terry

  9. Just checked the stock price. Keep it going Princess.

I just figured the return on my Princess stock and it seems one of my better investments over the last few years.

I guess that nickel and dime stuff pays off.

The onboard credit is pretty awesome too!

  10. We were on the Coral two years ago and saw several gentlemen turned away at the dining room for not having a collared shirt. These were older gentlemen. They were also very particular on formal nights - NO jeans - even nice new ones. Jeans were fine on any other night in the dining room. Have fun!
