  1. For us it depends if we had to fly in to cruise, and not too many go from Melbourne. hence we prefer to be off early to make sure no delays catching flights.
  2. I’m happy to be the Guinea pig on 16th! I’ll do my best to do live as soon as we’re on so I can check anything else people think of!
  3. That's fair enough! It is how the authorities handle things that will make or break it I think.
  4. We were in ruby 2020 too. I’m only remembered it opening the door lol
  5. I know people who go home to UK for holiday who say the same. What if you get sick on a flight and they put you off in Singapore or anywhere else! It happens because I know someone who did, who fortunately had insurance. Other friends were on cruise round islands, husband got sick and was offloaded at Noumea with his wife of course. He ended up in hospital there for almost two weeks. All their costs including hotel accommodation for the wife were covered then flown back to Australia. Cost of $40K.
  6. If you cant afford travel insurance you cant afford to travel.
  7. I believe they do and you have to go and buy ok as soon as you get on board. I’ll try and find out when we board on 16 June
  8. I will def check this out. I cant find anywhere where it mentions costs in Internet cafe. We will be elite after we complete our 4 B2B (reason for doing them) though we always appreciated the 75 mins free as platinum and will miss that. But I am not thinking of buying any internet for these cruises as every few days we are back in brisbane port where we can link into our home internet via our devices, to quick check anything we need to. For a longer cruise it would be different so I want to know out options too.
  9. Possibly not apart from insurance still being recommended by Princess but not mandatory. When we started looking into the insurance needs for our cruises, at that point Princess didnt have any clause about covering costs for covid. I think it was introduced in the April 27th 2022 update for Australia, and I figured it was because it was the only way they were going to get Aussies onboard. So they did a whole section on it. Our PVP told us before then that they had introduced this covering covid on board in USA and he expected that they would follow suit for Australia. I haven't checked the rest of the world. For us it was something we weren't prepared to travel without just in case. Now if I was looking it wouldn't be as big a deal. However we were happy with what we got and have our June and Oct cruises in Australia covered.
  10. Thats great. However I'm going to keep my eye on it on my daily watch lol
  11. Repeating this transcript with my questions today to Princess as it may be helpful or of interest to others in this forum. In particualr a main question was our health status over weekend had us upload our vaccination certificates and also asked us to upload our proof of negative RAT/covid test with 48 hours of departutre. This rang bells as it sounded different to "attesting" our negative results. Ok here are the answers from my questions on live chat to Princess today. I have put the basic transcript so it answers a few of our questions at this stage. She had heard nothing about any changes and assured me they have different protocols in US (which I think we all knew). Irene Webber : just to confirm, the app when uploading our vac certs also asked us to upload proof of our negative test. and that details of what we have to do will be available 48 before cruise. If we suddenly had to get supervised tests it would be quite difficult maybe to procure (we are flying into Brisbane from Melbourne. Is it possible a photo taken of our negative test will suffice or as you say it will just be attesting to neg result? and if there is a major change like this will princess notify us or do we just have to check the health protocols every day in case? [Christine] We are currently just asking guests to attest that the RAT was negative. RATs will be supplied onboard for guests doing back to back cruises for the next cruises You will just need to attest. [Christine] Checking the health protocols as often as you can is highly recommended. They have different protocols in US [Christine] They must be doing something to the app behind the scenes. I am not aware that we need to prove negative results. [Christine] They do have different protocols in the US. [Irene Webber] We are travelling B2B for the four cruises, in a full suite. I have never travelled in a suite before. Does the priority embarkation and disembarkation still operate according to the suite benefits list or has it changed due to health protocols? [Christine] You will still have priority embarkation and disembarkation. [Irene Webber] And also my app was showing us both green lane right up til yesterday when it changed to blue lane and asked us to upload vax certs which I did. It was there it said to upload proof of out RAT test. I presume it won’t go green again til just before cruise. I cannot complete our order for medallions, it just keeps saying its loading? Will medallions just be available at check-in on embarkation and will we have a different one for B2B's. [Christine] You will have a different medallion for each cruise. I also believe that you will change back to green lane closer toward sail date. Medallions will be collected at the pier. Hope this helps some of our musings about possibilities. I know it wasn't a phone call but it was easier to get a response this way having tried both. Im happy to keep a list of questions if there are any more. We have a topic re Q & A for those travelling 16, 19, 23, 26 June from Brisbane. If you have not already checked it out you might find answers there, or even be able to answer some from your own current experience. Thanks

  13. I’ve been green all the way. I think it’s cos it’s closer 🥰🥰🥰
  14. Agree. I was also going to change from passport in the system to driving licences, but I’m going through the process it asked if I was sure cos it would remove for all future cruises so I figured I’d leave it as passport save re entering later fir NZ
  15. That's what I am presuming too. Mine has been green all along until it asked for uploads (which it hadn't before the other day)
  16. I have already emailed my PvP this morning, asking that and a few other questions, and asked if he can’t answer them would he give me a phone number or email where I can ask direct. I expect he will call me today!
  17. I’ve not actually had many, and this is not really an issue, just noting the change in layout today lol. I’m hoping it’s cos we’re getting closer!!! 24 days 11 hours now but hey who’s counting 😂😂😂
  18. We changed to blue zone once it said about uploading vax cert and then the proof of rat test, and has stayed on blue since. I’m going to try and hunt down clarity today!
  19. My app totally changed how it looks today! Is this everyone or is it we’re getting closer? 25 days! It’s laid out differently
  20. me neither. When I click on order review it doesnt go anywhere, just eventually loads the select pick up at port which gos no where once again. Endless flashes loading.
  21. We are all watching this one keenly and hoping it has just been a copy and paste from the US site and will update soon for Aussies.
