  1. Also interested. I’m having the hardest time deciding what to do in Roatan. Just me?

I'm struggling too! We were there last year and my husband did the discover scuba and my son and I did the dolphin encounter at Anthony's Key. It was beautiful and we loved it. Nothing offered through NCL really calls out to me this time.

  2. Kids were on my tour in 2015. Maybe its changed since then? I felt for one kid because he was bored to death and would just sit on the floor while the NCL heads in each dept did their speech and presentation. Some kids just would not have the attention span or care how the laundry room works or how garbage is compressed. My tour was not the free latitudes one but the full price, full tour.

My son will be in 6th grade and is completely into science and engineering. Plus, he's an avid cruiser. He'd love it!

  3. We went in 2016 and did the swim. It was amazing and so worth it for us. We were with a small group and did a foot push, swam with them holding unto their dorsal fin and then had the encounter too. We had two dolphins with us so for the foot push you had a dolphin nose on each foot. Dolphin Cove was a neat place. They had a gift shop, snack bar, water slide, and it's all open and up close so you can watch others swim with the sharks, sting rays or dolphins. The professional pictures were expensive but amazing! There is also a bird area and vendor spot as you first enter. We thought they were very pushy but once you enter Dolphin Cove everything calms down. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  4. My son was 4 on his first cruise and so shy. We never thought he'd attend Splash Academy BUT he loved it and went everyday! They are so good with the kids and always have something fun planned. They usually have a pirate day, dress up night, pj party and lots of other themes. Really nothing you'll need to bring except a pair of tennis shoes. They don't like the kids to come with open toed shoes.

    Have a great cruise!
