Kids were on my tour in 2015. Maybe its changed since then? I felt for one kid because he was bored to death and would just sit on the floor while the NCL heads in each dept did their speech and presentation. Some kids just would not have the attention span or care how the laundry room works or how garbage is compressed. My tour was not the free latitudes one but the full price, full tour.
My son will be in 6th grade and is completely into science and engineering. Plus, he's an avid cruiser. He'd love it!

My husband and I just hit Platinum and are excited to do the behind the scenes tour. I'm just wondering if our son can come with us. He is listed as a child and does not yet qualify for latitudes status.

We usually tip $10/day that my son uses the Kids Club. Sometimes, the staff is exceptional and then we may tip more.

Cubbies would be amazing! We spend most of our time in the pool or sitting by the side and always have to ask people if we can put our things by them or leave them in a random corner somewhere.

Could you update on how your day was? Not much info on this excursion. Thank you :)

Following! I'm thinking about this for our Jan 2019 NCL crusie

We went in 2016 and did the swim. It was amazing and so worth it for us. We were with a small group and did a foot push, swam with them holding unto their dorsal fin and then had the encounter too. We had two dolphins with us so for the foot push you had a dolphin nose on each foot. Dolphin Cove was a neat place. They had a gift shop, snack bar, water slide, and it's all open and up close so you can watch others swim with the sharks, sting rays or dolphins. The professional pictures were expensive but amazing! There is also a bird area and vendor spot as you first enter. We thought they were very pushy but once you enter Dolphin Cove everything calms down. Let me know if you have any other questions.

We loved the Blue Hole and the river tubing was amazing. It was a really relaxing ride down the river and we had lunch after at a little restaurant there. The rapids in early March when we went, were really nonexistent making for a nice smooth ride.

We did an excursion just like this through NCL in 2017. The place that does the tubing has a really nice bar/restaurant area that you could sit in. There's also a gift shop and nice restrooms.

Good choice! You'll love it and I bet your son will too. We took our 11 year old son on the Jade Panama Canal cruise this past March and he loved it!

Thank you so much for this wonderful report! I've been avoiding megaships too but we are trying the Bliss in Jan 2019. Your pictures make me excited to try it!

Awesome information! Thank you! Enjoy your cruise!

Awesome! Thank you for doing this! The Sun is my favorite ship :)

Looking forward to your review! Thanks for taking the time to share :)

We just received an e-mail yesterday that the itinerary changed a bit. They switched around St Thomas and Tortola. I wonder if that's why it's not up??? I sure hope it wasn't chartered! We are really looking forward to the Bliss!

We love the Sun! Can't wait to see her makeover!

Loving your review! Thank you!

Have you looked at resortforaday dot com? They have a whole list of Atlantis options. I've never used them so I'm not sure how things work. We are heading there in Jan 2019 and we are looking into this too.

Thank you for this! We sail on the Bliss Jan 2019

We loved our day here too! The employees were awesome and fun to talk too. We did a pool cabana and loved every minute. Can't wait to go back!

Loving your review and reliving the cruise! We were on the Jade with you and had such a great time. We've been on 6 NCL cruises and this might have been my favorite!

We never drink ours and always leave it behind. Not sure what ends up happening to it. I would rather have more bottles of water.

My son was 4 on his first cruise and so shy. We never thought he'd attend Splash Academy BUT he loved it and went everyday! They are so good with the kids and always have something fun planned. They usually have a pirate day, dress up night, pj party and lots of other themes. Really nothing you'll need to bring except a pair of tennis shoes. They don't like the kids to come with open toed shoes.
Have a great cruise!

I'm struggling too! We were there last year and my husband did the discover scuba and my son and I did the dolphin encounter at Anthony's Key. It was beautiful and we loved it. Nothing offered through NCL really calls out to me this time.
